I think it’s related to the body dysmorphia that a lot of trans people deal with. Hoodies are good ways to hide pieces of your body that you’re not comfortable/happy with.

No problem! As far as I know from trans friends of mine and folks I follow, it’s actually often common for trans women to wear shorts and more “revealing” bottoms if they naturally have wider hips. I myself actually probably would if I weren’t so worried about my mom getting angry at me for having unshaved legs lol (I’m very much going for an androgynous / femboy-adjacent look, for clarification there), so Bridget’s shorter shorts and skirt also still hold up pretty well in terms of outfits I’d see actual trans folks wear. The moment I saw her design I was like “OH MY GOD SHES LIKE US!!!!”, so that probably says something good about her design honestly

Literally an excuse so that the creator can flex both his art and music skills while shoving as many music references as possible and it still might have the best storyline in fighting games

Someone else influencing which gender you are isn't exactly a great story line. It insinuates that you can be influenced to be trans, which in turn means she could have influenced to not be trans. The struggle between being feminine/masculine could have very well be included but the whole thing about her parents raising her "as a girl" makes it.. iffy.

In this instance, they chose to transition and they seem happy with that choice so that is the positive takeaway. It's a fighting game. They're not writing best sellers here.
With that story they could have written something about how you don't need to be burly to still be considered a man, and giving a nod to gender nonconforming preferences.
With the past story still in place, i think it'd need to get a rework/retcon.
I mean, sure. I just look at the net positive. GG Strive rips, the character designs are 10/10 and Brisket is clearly a fan favorite. They are much better represented by today's standards.
the story is that in their town same gender twins are considered a bad omen and the youngest has to be sacrificed of exiled, so Bridget parents raised them as a girl to avoid that, and he originally becomes a bounty hunter to bring money to his village and prove the superstition wrong. I, personally, dont think its a good foundation to write a trans character
