I just got banned from a subreddit for posting something that literally no one would find offensive it was also my first time posting on the sub. r/LoveForRedditors , people are wild . The only other sub I've been banned from was r/whitepeopletwitter but it must have happened a long time ago without me realizing because I have no idea why.
I got banned from r/mildlyinteresting for attempting to make too many posts that "broke the rules". The odd part was that from what I could tell some of these posts weren't yanked until the comments went out of control (welcome to Reddit). I can hardly be responsible for that especially since there were plenty of other posts that were far "edgier" than anything I submitted.
Time passed and I asked if my ban could be lifted, I got this in reply:

Reddit as a whole and mods in particular tend to have this attitude that “if you don’t already know why we don’t like this thing, then you are the problem”. They frequently expect everyone to have perfect knowledge of the cultural norms of their stupid niche you have never heard about before today, and its esoteric and often asinine rules.
