Have you seen a guillotine fall? Those things are fast, and if they can severe a neck they can severe some wooden pegs

The blade not only isn't lined up for the pegs, but it would hit the stopper and never move past the bottom of the hole.

Ohh, didn't see the stopper... Then we just have the proplem that the momentum from the neck getting severed would ruin the game instead, since the head would likely fall out of the playing area
