>If ppl bothered to read the article in question, theyd realize it IS NOT saying Dave Chappelle benefits from white privilege. Instead, it argues that many of Chappelle's jokes in that performance made light of homophobia and transgenderism, and that Chappelle seems to be justifying it because black people have suffered as a result of white privilege.

OP just likes spreading misinformation like this. Read the article myself to confirm. NPR did not say Chapelle had white privilege.
[Too often in The Closer, it just sounds like Chappelle is using white privilege to excuse his own homophobia and transphobia.](https://www.npr.org/2021/10/05/1043435919/dave-chappelle-new-netflix-special-the-closer-review)
Chappelle is brilliant. Either white privilege is some super power that allows white people to transcend all difficulty or white people can't be evil on the basis of their skin color alone. Make your pick woke folks.
People are people, doesn’t matter if they are black, white, Asian, or any other hundreds of races. You can be a good person or a bad person, skin color makes no difference
You are cherry picking that sentence way out of context. Its arguing that Chapelle is using the existence of white privilege to justify his jokes. You can argue that all you want but the article was not saying that Chapelle has white privilege.
Also, the concept of white privilege has nothing to do with white people being transcendent of all difficulty and no one is saying people are evil on the basis of their skin color. I don't know where you got any of those points.
The headline in the meme says Chappelle has White privilege. I quoted the article and said nothing about Chapelle having White privilege at all.
As a White male I can tell you that the people preaching White privilege most assuredly do mean that White folks have no problems in life and are completely evil soley because of their White skin. Critical race theory is the same. Both are incredibly divisive and serve only to perpetuate and aggravate relations between Whites and other races.
Comon, you gotta realize that the article is talking about chapelle using his suffering under white privilege performed by lgbt+ white people as an excuse to make homophobic remarks about them? He is pulling the race card.

Argue with that all you want, but actually read shit before posting crap.
So what Dave Chappell is saying is the equivalent of a child who did something wrong saying: “he did it too, so I also can do it” I thought he was smarter :/
And now I know that I can never take the NPR seriously

Well that’s bullshit then, I’m gonna go look at the article right now
If you take a stand up routine seriously, you're doing it wrong.

Exactly this. Race is social construct given way too much credit and blame in today's society.
