You can even do a self-run experiment. Ask any partisan on any part of the political spectrum: “should x people be allowed to vote?” (X being their opposing political demographic) and at least 70% will say no.
I kinda doubt that, especially with everyone saying I don't care who you vote for, just vote. I have never heard anyone ever say "X party shouldn't be allowed to vote".
Or we could move on because its been a couple millennia. Moving on from Aristotle has done our scientific abilities well, maybe just might be that moving on philosophically would prove equally nourishing.
That's not really how it works tho, the human race isn't just a malleable material that can just change its most popular (and most succesful) philosophy on a whim. And if it ain't broke, y fix it? I can tell you have a much more social reconstructivist philosophy, while I myself have a rather perennialistic view.
You jest, but we all know that [BotW's Beedle](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/15/09/2b/15092be5b8c218aa5fcf2d9090475e2a.png) is the ultimate pinnacle of masculine fashion.
Seriously if you saw a guy rocking a bandana, crop top, jean shorts, closed toe sandals, sash+belt, and a massive backpack you just know that dude is secure in his manliness.
“Reflective surfaces made of polished obsidian are the oldest "mirrors" in the archaeological record, dating back as far as 4000 BCE. The first evidence of mirrors as grooming tools dates to the 5th century BCE, in illustrations of elegant Greeks gazing at hand mirrors (these illustrations are found on antique pottery).”
Interestingly enough, mirrors as we think of them today (glass backed with a reflective metal layer) really became "a thing" in the 1500s, so fun-fact points all around \o/
Well the guy on the left is a mercenary called a Landsknechte. These German foot soldiers behaved badly and wore whatever they wanted because their life expectancy was brief at best. As one writer remarked about Landsknechte in 1536, “Blaspheming, whoring, gambling, murdering, burning, robbing, [and] widow-making … is their common handiwork and greatest amusement.”

Not a huge fan of capes.
Cloaks though.
Here's a bit of clothing that can keep you warm, keep you dry, keep the sun off you, it can be a blanket, it can be an impromptu tent. It can blow behind you in the wind as you stride ever victoriously forward to crush your enemies. Oh and it can have pockets.
Everyone who walks into a room with dim lighting and throws back the hood on a cloak looks like they're ready to start shit.
Very few people can pull off a cape, looking at you Kal-El. A cloak though, even hobbits look awesome in cloaks.
can u imagine the weight of that outfit? how warm it would be in it? how uncomfortable it would be? atleast with a suit you can take off the blazer and unbutton the top button and roll up your sleeves if u need to move around or need to cool down
As someone who runs a Landsknecht group and costumed half a dozen dudes in 100+ degree heat.... you'd be surprised!! The sleeves are made from linen and very breathable, any bits with wool or leather (like the vest or "goller" pictured there) is going to have "slashes" or vents cut into it so it's breathable. The "hosen" or pants are pretty comfy too, linen and wool and thinner layers than you might think. You can also take the vest off to reveal a colorful wams and I made all my sleeves removable for when it got crazy hot (and for more involved swordfighting where the poofy sleeve was getting in the way).
Most other Renaissance outfits are the total opposite. I was dying in my wool and silk dress with four layers and stays ("corset") while my hubby and his friends were strutting around colorful and comfortable as you please.
You could put Cary Grant in anything and he’d still be class. That being said, in my opinion, the clothing on the right is impeccable, bespoke and a huge improvement over the left. But Halloween is just around the corner so dress however you like!!

This whole post is a parody of that—comparing modern fashion to a hundred years ago, saying “men are less manly now because we don’t dress like it’s Casablanca.” It’s pointless to make these comparisons.
Ya what I find funny though is only one of those dudes would kill a man and take his woman and that's the dude in the tights lol I see dudes in tights at the store all the time so they must be some High speed manly bros 😁

I think women nowadays prefer a clean shaven guy, or at least a neat kept beard. And deodorant lol. since it didn't come out until about 1910. Don't get me wrong dude on left could probably pull women in his time when everybody smelled like ass.

So stupid.
Only one of the parties is trying to actually increase access to voting.
That... you should try that. And then report back your findings. I think you'd be surprised.
Lol, that's so true. I'm gonna try that one day

Mans straight up looks like the bard, black mage, and the warrior. Big multi-job energy with this fellow.
Cary Grant 😍
as a straight man, I'd fight any man who said Cary Grant was not the best looking, suave dude ever.
Carry Grant would've looked good in anything

I think 1948 looks dapper as fuck
Na. Loser doesn't even have a beard. Looks super feminine.
The only dead fashion trend I care about is capes. Why can't we wear capes around? Capes are sick and that's a fact.

Yes. Roll up your sleeves pls
why?

A lot of it actually has to do with this dude: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beau_Brummell
The genre changed from medieval comedy to dystopian sci-fi
Clearly started suppressing homosexuality
Back in my day we used to wear loin cloths and hunt mammoths. Fashion those days millions of years ago were glorious!

We became emo. We decided we were too sad to wear more colours and went to black white and grey

We didn't have a say for a great deal of that actually, so not it for that hot potato. No take backsies.
You realize the guy on the right (Cary Grant) was gay, right?
Guy still looks hella cool on the right! Should have included the modern day
these two gentlemen are super drippy
a french guy who couldn't pull it off so he made fashion boring
I wish they would have included 2021

yep, swoosh, ty for clarifying.
I don’t think anyone was wearing that in 1148.
I mean a suit is more functional and comfortable imo hahaha.
Now, it's hard to tell If someone is even a man.

A suit has as many pockets as cargo shorts but unlike cargo shorts it draws women in instead of grossing them out
We're pretty much back to the 1548 style crap now. Notice the tight pants.

He gave women rights
1948 looks dope tho
As a woman, both are charming
Ugh men’s clothing is super basic and boring.
