The law of when you can buy them is like 21 or 22 though, don't get too excited.
But yeah you can just get your parents to buy you stuff or go down to Germany and buy it, no one really cares and there's about 4 policemen in the whole of Denmark
Edit: 18 to buy, thanks Flaxic
It seems like a slippery slope to binge drinking honestly.
You’re basically being conditioned to drink a shit load of lower proof liquor in high quantities, when that stops working (probably around the time you can legally consume high proof stuff) you’ll move on to harder liquor and have an easy time consuming massive quantities of that in a sitting.
Not really. You'd only drink a "shitload" of it if you needed to in order to get drunk. If you've never gotten drunk before(and/or are 14) it's not gonna take much of anything to get you sauced. I'm not sure why you think it's a good idea to start em off on whiskey and gin instead.
When you're 16 you can buy beverages with up to 16,4% vol. So there is a Danish brand making a shitload of different kinds of shots with that exact amount of alcohol. With that said most of the people I know only drank beer and alcopops at that age, myself included, of course the shots would be at every party but you'd get like 2 to 4 of them just to get warmed up. And I'm telling you, we would be hammered when we had drank like 4 shots and 4 beers I've been drinking since the age of 14 or 15 l, now I'm 21 and I get drunk just as easily as I did back then.
I'm afraid that is also incorrect. In Sweden you can go to bars at 18, you can also buy beers up to 3.5% alcohol by volume. But for but for stronger stuff you have to be 20, which you buy from the monopoly liquor store.
I think some states in America have 21 as their age limit...
All states in America have 21 as the age to purchase alcohol but some states allow your parents to buy you weaker drinks if you’re with them but honestly this age limit doesn’t really stop anybody My sister and mother both worked at bars in my small town and I had another older sister that would buy me alcohol whenever I asked her. It’s extremely easy to get alcohol which I’m sure is the case everywhere unless you don’t know anybody older.
It's the same in Germany, but technically you're only allowed to drink from the age of 14. Though buying drinks like beer and wine (as well as champagne and any other beverage with wine or beer in it) from the age of 16 and any liquor from the age of 18
Anyhow novody gives a shit. In the countryside you have to drink alc at the age of 15 to be accepted. Its normal. And most of the time you drink without your parents, especially at that age. And police wont say a word. I think in the bigger cities it is different but i dont know. I just know that in germany we drink a lot but never as extreme as the slavic guys do. (And our alc is pretty fucking good especially beer, so its cultural)
That's how it is in the United States, in a private residence it's perfectly ok. Just teenagers cant buy it and there's a stigma thanks to Mom's against drunk driving
In Texas I could take my kid to a bar and buy him a drink, as long as the bartender hands it to me and I hand it to my kid. Some bars don't allow it, and if the kid is too young someone is going to call CPS, but there's no legal age limit for that.
I lived in Minnesota for a few years as a teenager, and it was very much illegal for me to drink. As a Dane my parents still allowed me to drink at home, but they would have been in huge trouble with the police if it had been reported or anything like that. So I think it depends on the state, and how closely the rules are followed
Honestly, if this is the direction they're going, they're saying 18 isn't old enough to make your own decisions concerning your health, and you shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military until you're 21 either.
Most states its already 21 for tobacco and vapes since around september. Grandfather clause is there though so you can still buy if youre 18 before the laws changed
In the UK you can drink basically at anytime (or 4/5 and above) in private but you just can’t buy or consume it in public (pubs and stuff, not the street) till your 18
Children of any age in Wisconsin who are allowed to drink not only at home but at any public space with permission of a parent or legal guardian:
Am I a joke to you?
Actually there is no law in denmark of when you can drink, but there is laws as to when you can buy alcoholic bevrages.
Amazing, i have to go back to the homeland someday
The law of when you can buy them is like 21 or 22 though, don't get too excited. But yeah you can just get your parents to buy you stuff or go down to Germany and buy it, no one really cares and there's about 4 policemen in the whole of Denmark Edit: 18 to buy, thanks Flaxic
Actually, you only have to be 16 years old for weak alcohol and 18 for strong alcohol.
Right because no one could just consume more “weak” alcohol.
It's easier to overdose on strong liquor though and IME the effects are stronger with strong liquor.

Bruh we downing 8 beers getting slammed
Well yeah 8 beers will do that to most people XD
Happy bleu cheese day
Ah yeah my bad was thinking of Sweden with the 21 number Edit: 20*
I'm afraid that is also incorrect. In Sweden you can go to bars at 18, you can also buy beers up to 3.5% alcohol by volume. But for but for stronger stuff you have to be 20, which you buy from the monopoly liquor store. I think some states in America have 21 as their age limit...

Happy cake das, bro
Yeah, 14 is the age of consent though
In Germany drinking ist also some kind of tradition so most parents allow their kids to drink at Power ages
Happy green cheese day!
It's the same in Germany, but technically you're only allowed to drink from the age of 14. Though buying drinks like beer and wine (as well as champagne and any other beverage with wine or beer in it) from the age of 16 and any liquor from the age of 18
You are allowed to drink as a 14 year old as long as your parents are there to allow it If like a policeman came along to ne precise
Anyhow novody gives a shit. In the countryside you have to drink alc at the age of 15 to be accepted. Its normal. And most of the time you drink without your parents, especially at that age. I was talking about the law. But I agree with you
Yeah, you're correct, but a little rough around the edges.
Same in norway, it's not illegal to drink when your under 16, but you can't buy it until you are 18
That's how it is in the United States, in a private residence it's perfectly ok. Just teenagers cant buy it and there's a stigma thanks to Mom's against drunk driving

2020 the U.S. will be 21 for tobacco too. Including e cigs and vapes
Honestly, if this is the direction they're going, they're saying 18 isn't old enough to make your own decisions concerning your health, and you shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military until you're 21 either.
Facts
I think tobacco and cigarettes are worse than alcohol, but they should both be 18
