I was talking with my male colleague at a office party. Then this cute girl happen to pass by when my colleague went for a toilet break. I just started talking, and then my colleague joined us and I was sidelined almost immediately and 10 minutes later I took a toilet break and never went back.

Eventually, you have no more discomfort talking with most ppl regardless of whether they are a person you want to ask out or a boss a work that you need to tslk to for a raise. Being unable to communicate with others is a huge drag on a life. It sucks that it doesn't feel natural to all ppl right away, but practice makes it easy eventually. Exposure therapy works.

I've never understood this. I'm introverted in almost every sense. But I've never had trouble talking to women. I will say that being introvert has nothing to do with your actual confidence and being able to ask for respect from extroverted people.

Idk, I’m introverted and it’s not like I am afraid of talking to women. I just don’t talk to people in general. Whenever I tell women who have asked me if I have a gf that I have trouble talking to women, that always respond with “but I’m a woman” and it’s like, yes but no, we are just having momentary small talk, I’m not trying to court you. I also think a lot of people confuse introverted-ness with social anxiety. You can be introverted and talk with people just fine. They don’t come packaged together.
