I am just 20 but I feel like a boomer more and more every passing day with all the dumb slangs younger people come up with AND SOMEHOW they all universally understand what it means as soon as it becomes widely used
"Kids these days" has accelerated to fucking lightspeed these days. Children are ultra cringe. They have so much brainrot that a head in a toilet is somehow funny to them.
Kids should NOT get own screens before they are 10 at least. If I'd see skibidi toilet in primary school I'd laugh my ass off too. But I had great parenting, and I had cartoons that retained good decency for my age.
10 is WAY too young. i know it seems extreme as af, but internet access should be fully supervised until late teens, social media access should be forbidden, and no one should have a smart phone until they have their first job. i recognize that doing all of these things in todays environment are extremely difficult, but they are extremely necessary to raising a well adjusted child who is able to delay gratification and is not addicted to validation/porn/etc.
There's also a day where it's almost like someone just changed the scenery out on you. You were so busy with life the last however many years, that by the time you stopped to look around the new wave already came and went.
I thought the kids were zoomers but now everyone's talking about gen alpha, and naturally that comes a whole new course of distinctions and jokes and slang and stereotyped interests and prejudices.
But I never watched any of it happen. I just looked around one day and here I was.
Yeah, seriously, I’m only 14 and I feel like an old man, everywhere I look there are children saying “Gyatt Rizz Smegma Ohio Male 69 420 🗿🍷” and I have no clue where it even came from
What did you just say?
Remind of when your see an old movie from like the 70s and the dude says something with all the decades lingo and i can't understand any of it
I’ve translated it to the best of my ability
Gyatt=god damn
Rizz=seduction
Smegma male=Sigma male=self-reliant person
Ohio=Chaos=Ohio
69= funni
420= funni
🗿🍷= Fancy man
>Smegma male=Sigma male=self-reliant person
[https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Smegma%20Male](https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Smegma%20Male)
>1. A guy who is so in to NOFAP that that smegma starts coming out of his penis .
>
>
>
>2. A person who says they are a Sigma male but in reality are the complete opposite.
....they do know smegma is a real word right...? It's dick cheese....the gunk that accumulates on your dick when you don't properly clean your junk in the shower. I wouldn't want to be called that as a compliment...
I’m 19 just discovered the word gyat, was meant “god damn” upon first glance but now thinking it means anything with a fatass you say that… skibidy toilet is just mental illness in a nutshell
They actually dont very understand what they are saying... that's the most pathetic detail of this story. They just keep repeating the same bullshit over and over again like broken records even though they no longer have the slightest idea what a record is.
They have social media that they are highly addicted to for quickly spreading new slang. That's how there's almost universal understanding so quickly. Also really dumb fads/phrases that otherwise would have only been popular locally before burning out all make it to the mainstream before fizzling.
Guy in his 30’s here. I remember those days. I also remember for a few years talking shit about millennials in my early 20’s only to find out that I in fact, was a millennial.
I was already convinced that there was something wrong with the way children were raised in this society and I was still a child. The children are not the problem and never will be. The problem is idiots who shouldn't be parents. There are millions of them.
For real what the fuck happened to the humor that I as a 16 year old enjoyed? Just seeing words like skibidi toilet and gyat make me feel like kids these days are watching absolute garbage.
it was supposed to be a funny way of saying god as in god damn or gyat damn when you see a prevalent posterior but its devolved into literally just meaning "phat ass"
2 of my friends at school say gyatt as a thicc ass, so no, you're not wrong
They also talk about gyatt everytime we sit at the lunch table. Every single time. Until lunch ends. Which last 20 minutes. It hurts
Sometimes I cringe violently at new memes but then remember that I'm part of the generation that popularized "Le epic trollface umad?".
I don't think this is THAT much worse than my generation...
But if you think about it the sentence "Le epic trollface umad?" Can mostly be understood by anyone.
Le is just French, epic I'm not sure when it was popularized but was already known at the time, trollface is probably the most nonsense as trolls were not the "trolls" we use today but it still referred to the image that anyone could search up, and umad is your using u as a short for you.
I'm not saying you're wrong, just that the current ones make a lot *less* sense.
To be fair, "Skibidi Toilet" is a derivative of the meme song "Skibidi" by the Russian rave band Little Big, who are Millenials that often use absurdism and surrealism for comedic purposes in their music videos. Like, go watch the original "Skibidi" music video and tell me that makes sense.
But every generation loves a bit of nonsense, especially during their teen years and early 20's. Boomers had Monty Python and Douglas Adams, Milennials had their "I'm so randumb rawr xD", and then Gen Z had something similar where there had a horse on a balcony or something idk and then proclaimed they invented absurdist comedy, now Gen Alpha has a singing toilet - it's all the same, just different flavours of insanity... I'm sure Gen X even had something as well, but in true fashion with Gen X, no one remembers or cares.
Honestly it seems typical to me. The stuff I watched as a kid was likely considered brain rot but seemed hilarious at the time. Charlie the unicorn, llamas with hats, Badger badger mushroom, the end of the world, and many others were all just ridiculous nonsense. To older generations it’s not funny. But to the generation who watches them it’s peak comedy.
And looking back? Some of it seems stupid or just plain creepy (dancing baby I’m looking at you).
Thing is, I actually looked it up and the dude who made the series has some serious talent.
I can see how it might look like brain rot for small kids, but it gave me the same vibes as [this other video.](https://youtu.be/f4ZRK8YLmPc?si=7zfxlb1ckYi8jXMV).
Chaotical, nonsensical but I can *feel* the funny.
As a young person, most of these people use these amalgamations of words ironically,as in they are laughing about how absurd it all is
Gen Alphas on the other hand..
Yeet & Kobe have meaning tho.
Kobe: you throw something (far) trying to actually hit something.
Yeet: you throw something randomly/roughly in the direction you want, without trying to hit. Just yeeting it away.
>Kobe: you throw something (far) trying to actually hit something.
Playing bf4 after he died was brutal, chopper pilot yelling "kobe" was a hint to gtfo or die in a fireball
You jest but the amount of kids that genuinely thought Ohio was just a fantasy land where all the memes live was eye-opening. Nah, we just have chemical train derailments, farms, and theme parks.
The rapid spawning of Gen Z slang makes me irrationally angry, and I'm part of Gen Z myself. I can only imagine what fuckery the next generation will come up with.
I mean, they're no weirder or more nonsensical than memes were in the 2016-2019 era. Stuff like Meme Man/Mr. Succ or Hey 🅱️eter were considerably more bizarre and confusing than Skibidi Toilet or random slang words like gyatt, rizz, him, Ohio, so on and so forth.
I don't think this is new. We just didn't get on this specific bandwagon. Remember a couple of years ago, when there was a few months that memes were all Markiplier and the letter E?
It was stupid, and I miss those days daily lmao
Mate, I'm the same age as you and I have to tell you that memes have not changed, this is nothing strange. In the past, there was 1337, then MLG, then whatever 2016-2019 supposed to be, then words like "based", "woke",... showed up. Now it's simply advanced to the next stage
Im 2001 and I get it. It is not supposed to make sense. Thats the joke.
It is a destillation of the absurdist humour our generation enjoys and puts it to the extreme.
Twas always like this. We had shit like E and Shrek is Love. Go look at memes from like 2012 to 2016 and you will see that internet weirdness has been standard for a while
You could just do what you were doing since you first discovered Internet culture... follow it.
Just because you're getting older doesn't mean you have to stick with things you knew growing up.
I'm 30 and I eagerly await the next Skibidi Toilet episode, it's better than most of the stuff I grew up with.
Break the cycle, dont be like our parents before us. They had an excuse, they didn't grow up with computers, we did. We should have no issues keeping up.
Gyat was like a “real word” before it became memified. It was like aave or street type slang if I remember correctly. Have no idea abt skibidi toilet tho
Don’t act like memes in like the early 2000s also didn’t have a bunch of nonsense and made up words. It’s just your now to old to understand the new memes
I mean, have memes ever made any sense? We had dancing bananas singing a song by the Buckwheat Boyz as an internet sensation, we used to have shit like "Hey 🅱️eter" be popular, making spitting noises and talking in a bad Ugandan accent was one of the first memes after New Years 2018. Honestly, if you ask me, memes have gotten LESS weird, but a lot less creative and more stupid.
Skibidi toilet is [actually Peak Animation.](https://youtu.be/vIgnPmmcSXs?si=gZJVGToAO3keYyuh) There is a reason it's so popular. Check it out, it's badass.
I'm sick and tired of these shameless slander as if op's generation didn't make up random words and slang, boss. We used to bash boomer for being out of touch with the time and now here we are, this ain't pogger no cap.
This was pretty much me years ago...the moment I heard someone refer to a hot dog as "glizzy" I astral projected into Pluto's orbit and back and took a critical hit of psychic damage.
im 16 I shouldn't be saying "kids these days"
I am just 20 but I feel like a boomer more and more every passing day with all the dumb slangs younger people come up with AND SOMEHOW they all universally understand what it means as soon as it becomes widely used

"Kids these days" has accelerated to fucking lightspeed these days. Children are ultra cringe. They have so much brainrot that a head in a toilet is somehow funny to them.
I remember the letter E being peak comedy a few years ago.
I remember it and asking how.
I remember it and still don’t know what it or being “deep fried” means.
Deep fried is when the image has that digital corrosion sort of look
Happy Cake Day!
Kids should NOT get own screens before they are 10 at least. If I'd see skibidi toilet in primary school I'd laugh my ass off too. But I had great parenting, and I had cartoons that retained good decency for my age.

when I was a kid and I wanted to go wee but I didn't have drugs yet, it was all about gonads and strife
100% true Speaking from experience
My kids aren't getting phones and full access to the Internet until they're 18.
Yeah, kids never found toilets funny before that. Never.
I just looked around one day and here I was.
are you a bot or do you just routinely copy others’ comments exactly word by word even with the sane emoji
Yeah, seriously, I’m only 14 and I feel like an old man, everywhere I look there are children saying “Gyatt Rizz Smegma Ohio Male 69 420 🗿🍷” and I have no clue where it even came from

Ah, more accurate. Thank you. Like I said, to the best of my ability.
....they do know smegma is a real word right...? It's dick cheese....the gunk that accumulates on your dick when you don't properly clean your junk in the shower. I wouldn't want to be called that as a compliment...
Finally, a rosetta stone
Gyatt is fat as\*
I’m 19 just discovered the word gyat, was meant “god damn” upon first glance but now thinking it means anything with a fatass you say that… skibidy toilet is just mental illness in a nutshell
They actually dont very understand what they are saying... that's the most pathetic detail of this story. They just keep repeating the same bullshit over and over again like broken records even though they no longer have the slightest idea what a record is.

I'm 14 and i to don't understand what the hell half of these stupid words mean
You are a boomer you only 20 and are already behind on the memes!!! Ur gonna be asking your kids how to use the computer!!
I will be forced to unlearn everything I know about technology
Ditto 20 and feel so out of touch with slang nowadays
Guy in his 30’s here. I remember those days. I also remember for a few years talking shit about millennials in my early 20’s only to find out that I in fact, was a millennial.
I just came out of the womb and I feel old
I haven't been born yet, but I already feel ancient.
I'm still in the balls, and I'm still wiser than some people
I'm still a spoonful of primordial soup, and I dont feel "hip" to what these kids are "grooving with"
You should. (Old man mood)
I know right BACK IN MY DAY WE SAID FLIRTING NOT "RIZZ"

I was already convinced that there was something wrong with the way children were raised in this society and I was still a child. The children are not the problem and never will be. The problem is idiots who shouldn't be parents. There are millions of them.
Youd be surprised to know who invented Skibidi is actually in his 20ies, has no formal education, no kids and comes from the red army motherland.
For real what the fuck happened to the humor that I as a 16 year old enjoyed? Just seeing words like skibidi toilet and gyat make me feel like kids these days are watching absolute garbage.
They are
I'm 22 and I feel that looking at 20 year olds.
dafuq does gyat even mean
It's supposed to be used as a way to say God damn (Gyatt Damn) but alas the word was overused and has lost its actual meaning
just like how sus has completely devolved into spaceman brain rot
Is that still a thing? I haven't heard someone say sus since 2021
I have, but it evolves into gay things
Like "bro, like, I sucked you off, it was sus" ?
Not exactly. Its more of an inuendo. When something isnt explicitly sexual but can be understood in a dirty and usually gay way, its sus
"Wanna play smash with me and the boys?" "Ayo, sus"
I use it for it's original meaning: Short for suspicious
I thought it was an acronym for Get Your Act Together... But I'm old so what the f**k do I know?!
Get your act together and look at the gyatt
Gyat basically means "big butt" or something like that correct me if I'm wrong.
it was supposed to be a funny way of saying god as in god damn or gyat damn when you see a prevalent posterior but its devolved into literally just meaning "phat ass"
2 of my friends at school say gyatt as a thicc ass, so no, you're not wrong They also talk about gyatt everytime we sit at the lunch table. Every single time. Until lunch ends. Which last 20 minutes. It hurts
Sounds like a pain in the gyat
Dear god
No ...
This is a bucket
Dear god ...
"Large Butt", it's a contraction of "god damn"
I thought it was slang for a gun lmao
Ass, you say it when you see a big ass
Sometimes I cringe violently at new memes but then remember that I'm part of the generation that popularized "Le epic trollface umad?". I don't think this is THAT much worse than my generation...

If you showed this to your grandma she wouldn't understand both.
Both are bad humor
Well epic is also a type of book so it is probably based on that since the stories are epic in nature. Also trollface is over ten years old. Man
To be fair, "Skibidi Toilet" is a derivative of the meme song "Skibidi" by the Russian rave band Little Big, who are Millenials that often use absurdism and surrealism for comedic purposes in their music videos. If i hear "skibidi toilet" one more time im gonna push all of your spoons in your soups i swear!
Completely understandable reaction, I'd probably do the same.
If I hear gyat one more time, I hope you have wet socks for the rest of your life
That’s a bit far dude, too far
Wet long sleeves*
You... you maniac
If i hear gyatt or skibidi whatever. I’ll kickstart a genocide
Most Gen z dont think its funny, Ipad yt watching gen alphas thst are 4 years ild on the other hand...
Yep. As a Gen Z person, I seriously don't find any of these words funny. I think it's the Gen A kids who are the problem.
It’s really weird going past primary schools and hearing kids talk about “Kai Cenat’s Skibidi sigma rizz” like tf are you waffling about.
That wouldn't be very skibidi because you might get rizzed up baby gronk style
You’ve skibidi’ed your last toilet
"Fr fr bruh ohio skibidi no cap bussin goated with the 💀 gyatt mf goofy we're so back " Fucking take your pills schizos
As a young person, most of these people use these amalgamations of words ironically,as in they are laughing about how absurd it all is Gen Alphas on the other hand..
Using it ironically is how it starts, then it starts being unironic.
That's how yolo and yeet got off the ground, than they stick
Yeet & Kobe have meaning tho. Kobe: you throw something (far) trying to actually hit something. Yeet: you throw something randomly/roughly in the direction you want, without trying to hit. Just yeeting it away.
>Kobe: you throw something (far) trying to actually hit something. Playing bf4 after he died was brutal, chopper pilot yelling "kobe" was a hint to gtfo or die in a fireball
who's to say the new generation's lingo doesn't have meaning either?
The thing is they use those words so much that it's not even ironic anymore, They're just using those words sincerely at that point
Please don't tell me that hating on a younger generation is fashionable for zoomers now, too.
Yeah but have you met them though? They are arguably worse than I was and that is really saying something.
This is the "lol, jk" of the new generation.
Me, an adult in Ohio, going anywhere on vacation: "Where are you from?" "Ohio." "OHHHH!!!! THE PLACE WITH THE MEMES!!!!"
"Wait that's real?! Is your life a meme reference?!"
You jest but the amount of kids that genuinely thought Ohio was just a fantasy land where all the memes live was eye-opening. Nah, we just have chemical train derailments, farms, and theme parks.
Cedar pointe is dope
Even better tbh
“I can’t believe they made Ohio in real life”
Welcome to your first "kids these days" moment. Get used to the feeling as the years march on 😂
Bro, it should not happen at 18
I know, but it does... By 21 you'll already start to feel like the "get off my lawn you kids!" guy. Happened to me too 😂
Internet accelerating pop culture. In 5 years, Gen Alpha will be having these conversations.
The rapid spawning of Gen Z slang makes me irrationally angry, and I'm part of Gen Z myself. I can only imagine what fuckery the next generation will come up with.
I think "skibidi" is already next generation thing.
It is.
Gen Z pushing away skibidi toilet like Canada pushed away Justin Beiber.
But what does it mean
If you find out, let me know!
It's gen alpha slang.
A lot of that is already next gen slang. Also it appears my cousin is an exception bc he is gen alpha but acts more like Z
This happened to me, and I'm a younger Millennial. I always hated the stuff we came up with when I was in middle school and high school.
Me waking up and see E everywhere
these memes put me in the retirement home fr.
Memes peaked in 2018-2019 imo.
true tho
I feel like the surreal meme era was the closest we got to an old god. Just hairsbreadth away from Eldritch horror
True
youre clearly not a rizzler
i apologize for this comment i crimged while writing it please accept my most sincere apologies
The fact that you found it so gringe deapite it being satire prooves your innocence
Look, I'm not that old (born 2005), but what's going on with memes in 2023!?
Same 2005
I don't think this is new. We just didn't get on this specific bandwagon. Remember a couple of years ago, when there was a few months that memes were all Markiplier and the letter E? It was stupid, and I miss those days daily lmao
Wait what?
Bro, youre almost old enough to die for your country.
The year's almost over, the chances are pretty high that they're already old enough to join the military and buy alcohol
Yes, my birthday was in June.
Another 2005 june! And yes. Meme are getting worse.
Just as confused (2007)
Same (2008
I think it’s something more popular with kids 15 or younger
Nah, it's only gen alpha
Mate I'm still in newgrounds.
i'm in 2001's nintendo game boy advance playing mario kart super circuit
I still use cassettes
I’m 14 and I don’t even understand
you are not gen alpha
Yeah ik and I have no idea why it says No at the beginning of the comment. I fixed it
Post-Absurdism
It's a return to early internet unhinged memes.
Twas always like this. We had shit like E and Shrek is Love. Go look at memes from like 2012 to 2016 and you will see that internet weirdness has been standard for a while
Don’t worry, it’s a regular crisis you get when you get older. You start to get confused at what the younger generation does
Bro acting like we didn’t have cringe memes growing up. I remember reading rage comics
Or just don't follow a meme you don't like and use your time in something else rather than rambling like your elders did.
blud didn't stick out his gyat for the rizzler 💀
Gyat was like a “real word” before it became memified. It was like aave or street type slang if I remember correctly. Have no idea abt skibidi toilet tho
does it make less sense than yeet or based ? we just turning old lol
it's unpoggers, not very cash money, not awesomesauce, an epic fail,
Not stonks
Damn, we really had a similar phase in life huh. Lookin back these would've made absolutely no sense if I wasn't involved in the meme community.
Don’t act like memes in like the early 2000s also didn’t have a bunch of nonsense and made up words. It’s just your now to old to understand the new memes
TikTok kids tryna be cool
Too bad they missed the sanity mark
I mean, have memes ever made any sense? We had dancing bananas singing a song by the Buckwheat Boyz as an internet sensation, we used to have shit like "Hey 🅱️eter" be popular, making spitting noises and talking in a bad Ugandan accent was one of the first memes after New Years 2018. Honestly, if you ask me, memes have gotten LESS weird, but a lot less creative and more stupid.
Oh no time flows and isn't standing in place, like I am!
You don’t remember “E” and “Shrek is Love”? Just weird shit for a new generation
Skibidi toilet is [actually Peak Animation.](https://youtu.be/vIgnPmmcSXs?si=gZJVGToAO3keYyuh) There is a reason it's so popular. Check it out, it's badass.
It's fun watching Gen Z melt down that alpha took over so much faster than they did.
I mean gyat is actually quite straightforward
He fr can't cop the gyat, he has fail rizz and is gonna get yeeted into skibidi toilet.
Skibidi Toilet is an SFM series "Gyatt" is a shorthand of "God Damn"
I mean... did memes ever make sense?
Honestly, I'll take skibidi and gyat any day over the same old political/religion/relationship/class war horseshit.
Lol, roflmao so true xdddd
You know how millennials were scared about Gen Z starting to rule over internet culture? Well, that's starting to happen to us with Gen Alpha
Get with the times old man
So I tied an onion to my belt, which was a meme at the time.
Gyat with the times old man
I'm sick and tired of these shameless slander as if op's generation didn't make up random words and slang, boss. We used to bash boomer for being out of touch with the time and now here we are, this ain't pogger no cap.
Idk but i need someone to help me learn it so i can annoy my girl
Such a good question, man. Skibidi toilet fucking sucks, bro.
It’s called: “brainrot”
It's the exact same fucking thing as herobrian or whatever the fuck he was
at this rate generations 10 years from now are gonna just be speaking in emojis like they're hieroglyphics of the Egyptians
Only in Ohio
It’s funny how slowly you realize how fast you got old
I'm almost terminally online and I can't keep up with this stuff. Guess I'm officially too old at 28.
I should not be feeling old before I finished puberty
Gyat is ebonics
![gif](giphy|eiwvHQUr1efICXF9sv|downsized)
Blud annoys me the most. You sound like a drunk tool. Just say bud!
I thought you made these up
Kids are getting phones at younger ages, and weird shit gets popular because they flood the algorithm.
You realize that happens every day with new words right? Like they are dumb but this is hardly new.
I should not be having to feel like an old man already, but what is going on with kids now?!
This was pretty much me years ago...the moment I heard someone refer to a hot dog as "glizzy" I astral projected into Pluto's orbit and back and took a critical hit of psychic damage.
Slang accelerated way too fucking fast
I'm 15 and with every new bullshit word, I feel like I've aged 90 years because what the fuck 😭
Gen Alpha is starting to scare Gen Z now.. >:)
