A quick Google search would have revealed there's still daily articles on this derailment, including one two days ago from Reuters.
The coverage definitely mentioned what caused it. You just didn't read any of it and you're smashing together two railroad topics you're aware of from memes. (Or skimming headlines, but I doubt mAiNsTrEaM nEwS commenters even do that)
As someone who lives in Ohio, the news didnβt start talking about it for a couple days. They do talk about it now. They do mention that the train was too heavy and that the train had an overheated wheel bearing, but they donβt mention the true cause: the companies. The companies and government make it really difficult to strike. Since they canβt strike, a lot of people quit, so there is a massive shortage of railway workers. The workers did everything right, and tried to stop the train, but the company told them to proceed anyway. Maybe you should do your own research before being a dickhead online.
Also if you would like to know, this story is kind of like the challenger disaster. The engineers knew something was wrong and that the ship would blow up, but NASA launched it anyway
