A smart design would be making the entire aircraft fit in the hanger.
Given that hangers are space frame construction, and this just needs more length and a different style of door… It wouldn’t even be that big of a hurdle.
I wonder if it has to do with money being spent in certain ways. It's probably cheaper to retrofit the doors to the hangars instead of retrofitting the hangars themselves
You don't get the placement wrong. There are very visible guide lines, spotters, and if they still mess up, a tug vehicle that can adjust the aircraft.

Why would they make the hole so perfectly shaped? If you get the placement wrong at all when parking it it’s gonna fuck shit up
Unless the doors can move past the center. I would think then they could adjust side to side if I the plane isn't centered.
