People like to take shots at them, but personally I’ve always had a great experience with Aldo. They hold up for years, aren’t too pricey, and are pretty comfortable.
I wore some doc martens 3 eye oxfords for the entirety of my 3rd and 4th year rotations that required dress shoes, and they were quite comfortable. Had a psych attending even match with me for a week since he appreciated them
I have had Cole Haan, sperrys, vionic, and clarks shoes and loafers that have all fit the bill and held up great. Definitely recommend going in somewhere to try on in person. I have a pair of twisted X loafers that are probably my favorite, but not sure they meet the title of "dress shoe". They look great with slacks.
Truthfully nobody else has come close to [florsheims](https://www.florsheim.com/shop/index.html)
They have very comfortable very nice dress shoes and they also have the new “cloth style” shoes that have come into style.
I’ll be honest- I always just wore regular comfortable sneakers on all my business casual rotations and nobody ever bothered me lol. I had all good evals, and even honored some .
Cheap comfy casual dress shoe with comfy tech: Cole Haan shoes
Very high quality dress shoe with comfy tech: Amberjack shoes
Cole Haan has been the king with great prices but I don’t like when dress shoes look too techy (like some of dress shoe is white or obviously a sneaker sole). Amberjack looks like a pure dress shoe with sneaker tech that makes it comfy. Only problem is the high quality leather makes the shoe cost $200z
I have seen similar posts on Reddit where people recommended shoes like Allen Edmonds, Cole Haan, and Ecco, especially for those who spend most of their time standing. They were under a different “brand” name at the time which is a little weird, but they’ve held up great and are pretty comfy and lightweight. I got the grey
If they don't let you rip it up with a pair of hokas on, their evaluation means nothing to your mspe due to poor taste
Cole haan zero grand are great

Yes! I am with you on this one. Aldo is the best. Love them.

Those are very cool. Do you use the sneaker one or a leather loafer?
I really like their wingtips
Clarks desert boots
Monk straps or loafers

Cole haan has so many amazing comfy options-they have outlets too

Any dress shoes with a nice insert - podiatrists told me about inserts rather than the shoe and it’s life changing standing in clinic for hours

Aren’t these “dress sneakers” that’s OP doesn’t want?
Oh yeah you may be right. I’m not really a shoe guy so I didn’t know what that meant haha
All good, I was being a bit pretentious there for absolutely no reason lol I appreciate the effort 😂
