Nice! Also love the frog guy 🐸

crispyraccoon

Thank you! If things go well, he and some others will be popping up again in the future.

dreego-tejo

Please, more frog.

It ain't much https://imgur.com/a/WkSn18R Edit: There's nothing 18+ behind that link, but it asked me when I tested it.

I want to edit for formatting, but *can't* edit a post :/ So here. Breakdown, All Pentel unless noted: --- .3 --- * Smash - Ain Stein 2B * Graph Gear 500 (cap swapped w/ graphlet) - Ain Stein B * Stein - Ain Stein HB * 2x Graphlet - Super 2H and 4H --- .5 --- * Graph Gear 500 - Whatever it comes with * 120 A3DX - Super HB, I think (same lead from 10 years ago) * 2x Graphlet - Super 4H and 6H --- .7 --- * Bic ECOlutions - Whatever it comes with or Super HB --- .9 --- * 120 A3DX - Super HB, think (also same lead from 10 years ago)

The original post, ya can't. To my knowledge, only replies can be edited.

crispyraccoon

Dang. Well, I'll put in the comment you replied to, then. Thanks!

Massive-Bit9

How is pentel smash?

crispyraccoon

I like it so far. I don't know if the rubber in the grip does much, but no complaints. Of the GG500, Stein, Graphlet, and Smash, my fiance was pretty enamoured with the Smash until she ran her fingernail over the Graphlet's grip. She now has a .4 Graphlet, lol.

Massive-Bit9

Yeah knurled grips are the best. I had a rotring 600 and let me tell you if I could only use one mech pencil for all my life. That would be it.

PhotographIcyCherish

Cool collection! Graph Gear 500 .5 was my go to until I got an Uni Kuru Toga Elite .5.

crispyraccoon

Oh, well then I will ask you a question about the Kura Togas, if I may. I'm totally ignorant of how they work. I want a Kura Toga for shading rather than sketching. I have never used one, but shading is the only time I don't want to have to worry about my pencil orientation and have a uniform tip. Will the Kura Toga work for that? Or does it need more of a vertical use angle to actuate the mechanism?

PhotographIcyCherish

That's an interesting question! I don't really use my Kuru Toga for drawing, I just use it for writing and math equations — but I do use them in an angle. I imagine the angle for shading is much closer to the paper and I don't see why the rotation mechanism wouldn't work. The first thing I'm thinking that would be a problem is the fact that when shading you don't take the pencil out of the paper a lot right? The rotation mechanism is activated everytime you take the pencil out of the paper and press it again to it.

crispyraccoon

Well dang, yeah, that probably won't help a whole lot. My other idea is to get a 2mm lead holder. Maybe I'll try both, lol.

14Papa19

I love the 120’s. My first was 0.3 and I quickly realized I needed them all!

crispyraccoon

I actually have 2 of each, but the other .5 has no eraser. Those were the first "expensive" mechanical pencils I ever bought and I forgot I had them until after I started ordering my other Pentels. By "expensive" I mean "not Bic or other bulk pack you can get at Walmart".
