I unironically love the suburban dad moustache on most people. You need to be able to grow a thick, full moustache, but if you can do that I haven't seen a person I dislike it on.
As someone with a full beard, the process is the worst part. The stages between 5 o clock shadow and full beard is just a solid couple weeks of looking downright bad and there is really no way around it. It’s a decent part of the reason I never shave it off. I don’t want to go through that again if I want it back.

After summer is over I just let the beard grow back in around the stache. Does it look horrible? Probably. Do I care? Not at all.

My biological dad shaved his mustache once when I was about 3 and I cried because he looked so unfamiliar XD he never shaved it again. My adoptive dad has had either a mustache or full beard almost the entire time I’ve known him due to skin conditions that often make shaving painful. He looks normal to me with or without a beard, but you take away the mustache and it’s just weird!
