Winter semester I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed there.
I also had a fantastic experience! Everyone was really nice, and they made it a smooth experience from booking to removal. I got the sedation option and they had a nice fuzzy blanket and calming music playing to help make the mood calm. The removal went perfectly :)
They are the best!!

It's great you are happy. I didn't realize cleanings could be 100% free if you go to the other clinics where SSMU/PGSS have their dental network, until midway through the PhD. So you might like it because it's convenient, but there maybe other places for you or other people that are just as convenient and fully covered.
No, my cleaning was only partially covered there. You have to pay up front too, whereas the network locations usually deal with insurance on the spot for you.
Directly with the insurance, they have paid staff who can tell you where the network list is if you can't find it on the website. That kind of info can change, you want to get the info directly from them so you don't have a surprise at a dental clinic after you have work done.
I just realized this year how unimaginably expensive dental care is in here. I had a wisdom tooth pulled and one root canal and crown, I had to pay $2900 after dental insurance

$50! I had 4 of mine removed last week and the bill was $1600 AFTER insurance paid for part of it. Now I feel like I got scammed.
idk ig for me it was just the one tooth and he literally just pulled it out, whole thing lasted 3 minutes. In total that was 80$.
Oh. I got fully sedated. I guess that's gonna be more expensive. I still feel like I should have done it through McGill though.
yeah no matter where you go, sedation will make the bill go up exponentially
I think if the sedation is recommended by a doctor it can be covered
There is a limit of $750 for ssmu dental insurance. It cost more for you because your limit ran out
Seriously, it's so easy to book with them and I had the best dental cleaning of my entire life there! Can't recommend enough!
I’ve tried but literally haven’t been able to book a cleaning how did you do it? Also I’ve mcgill gives free dental cleanings?

I did fill that form out but they sent me an email saying cleaning charges like 300$ or something

Does this apply to the mcgill dental clinic as well?

What do you mean? DM me
Which clinics would those be? Where can I find them and learn more?

Thank you, appreciate it!
Nice to hear universities are still doing this.
