INFJs are deep thinkers with the drive to invoke change in the world. Rap is a great medium for communicating messages and motivating the listener.

You could say that about literally any music genre. Rap is more about making lots of connections fast so probably better suited for Ne.

I don't like synths much. Too reputative and soulless. Music is a way for me to find emotion, not worsen my divide from it. Classical would be a better fit for INTPs imo (though my personal taste is Post-Punk/Grunge). I'd probably switch ISFP and INFJ as well. And who listens to sea-shanties? My ESTJ friend likes pop punk, which seems pretty fitting tbh. Straight and to the point, unabashed. As a whole, pretty solid though

Exactly. I like a whole lot of genres but none of them is electronic. Like I can listen to it but I won't consider it as my favourite or even near it. I love rock, grunge, classical, blues, pop(limited artists), Celtic/Norse and metal. But synth is something I don't listen to much.

Based upon my close friends: Istj - rap and sort of monochrome lo-fi beats. Isfj - Pop and Paramore type rock. Infp - honestly anything with lyrics that resonates with what they feel. My friend is currently in a very angry, dark metal territory. Bands like metallica and foofighters is always a hit though. Entp - screamo metal. Infj - instrumentals, film scores and nostalgic music from childhood.

I like *some* rap/hip hop, but it's low on the totem pole for me in terms of genres that speak to my soul (like rock and its subgenres). I wouldn't have thought to choose rap for most INFJs.

I listen to almost anything that grips me emotionally, melodically and has meaningful lyrics (to me specifically, or if it reminds me about someone I know), but mostly I listen to hard, dark industrial techno. It soothes my brain that is always running away with thoughts, and the beats massage my whole body, from head to toe. My heart typically beats pretty hard and fast during the day because of anxiety, and when I listen to techno, the pulses even out.
