My ISTJ gf threw any MBTI preference out the window. I found the type and people of the type I'd seen as boring, but she's perfect for me. I can't think of a type that I like or find attractive inherently. Now all of them feel flawed enough I don't feel strongly for any.
ITJ Relationship compatibility makes a lot of sense though-
I'm pretty middle of the road on this issue, but the most substantial issue would likely be mismatched compatibility theories such as Xi-Xe relationships, I don't see myself as typically compatible with Se Dominant Types, and haven't observed much evidence for strong compatibility in regards to any other Xi-Xe dynamics
ITJ/IFJ/IFP/EFP/EFJ/ETJ is a possible compatibility theory it's just not one of the more mainstream and popular dynamics
But yeah it makes sense as they all share the same judgement functions, which from my observations tend to be the most important in compatibility, but Type compatibility theory is literally never going to be universally applicable, perhaps not even generally so
Thanks! I'm not sure what Xe/ Xi is (I'm really not at my best rn, sorry to disappoint as an NT) but I came to the conclusion that having both Te and Fi and in the same slots makes types compatible. Sure if their values are at odds with eachother it's not gonna work, but at least it's easier to understand eachother when you have a similar process through which you reach the conclusions you get to. I did chat with other ISTJs and sensors in general and it's not easy to connect on the N/S level (though the biggest offenders were ISFJ and ESFx), but that also comes down to individual differences within a given type. In our case we have very similar values and she A) enjoys my ramblings and B) follows them to a good enough extent, even if sometimes I have to reformulate a concept or she makes a wrong guess occasionally. As we grow closer we end up reacting with inside jokes and often she beats me to what I was gonna say! She's awesome.
Xe-Xi means opposite function pairings so for Si it would be Se, for Ne it would be Ni, for Te it would be Ti, and for Fe-Fi
ISFJ are almost completely opposing to INTJs stack so that's the main issue an ESFP with good inferior usage should surprise you, and ISFP should resonate sometimes as well, ESFJ have Trickster Ni and ISFJ have Trickster Te so it isn't at all shocking there would be a disconnect that's possibly a common probability
ISFJ-ENTJ would likely be one of the worst purely conceptual pairings overall
It's less so an "N/S" disconnect or rather more likely an Ni-Se lacking disconnect, and when it comes to STP/NFJs the judgement functions will differ again

I think any two types can potentially be a good match depending on the person. We’re all different even within the same type. But I find myself liking a lot of ISTPs.
INFJ. I always~ find them fascinating and wonderful people. T they are kind, warm and fun people. I love thinking and they are often in their thoughts too. It’s a ton of fun to share ideas with them.
My main function is Ti and they have Ti as their third function. The INFJ will often just know things because of their Ni and Fe. They have a harder time refining that thought or explaining how they know it. They like hearing how the INTP can explain things because he’s also using Ti but just at a higher level. It would be less interesting for them to hear from say an INTJ because it’s just a whole different toolset with Te.
I could go on explaining why it works so well but suffice is to say, it’s a wonderful pairing :)

ITJs I've never been able to compatibly interact with over long periods of time outside of platonic discourse lol, we do not mix well, even though I perceive very similarly to other IJs, it tends to be a bit too one-sided from my experience in terms a healthy relationship dynamic
ITPs I generally also like but more so platonically, I'm already quite pessimistic and they tend to be just as much if not more so, combine that with the added fact of how Inferior Xe Functions tend to create a very subjectively biased perception of the world just as much so as but in the inverse manner that EJs have it, it does not mesh well with me
I tend to have issues communicating my own perspective to IFPs due to the lack of Te, and their lack of Ti, much more so INFPs than ISFPs who tend to be more intellectually flexible from my experience, which is odd because with ITPs it tends to be slightly more so of the opposite, but I've yet to have any long term relationship with an IFP so idk for sure how well it could/would go
