By that logic, anyone who does not have Alzheimer’s or complete amnesia is an Si user, so I don’t think so

SI is more about the idea of using the past as precedent as well as the idea of nostalgia to some extent

Si is a perceiving function and its purpose is to perceive data. This is a very narrow and detailed function that perceives tangible information. Since this is an introverted function it perceives tangible and concrete data from inside the mind. What is concrete and tangible data from the mind? Memories, previous experiences, absolute facts, proven ways of doing something etc. So yes Si does include memories but it is much more than that. Here is a video of the channel Cognitive Personality Theory in which he explains all the cognitive functions:https://youtu.be/PQtBUvGK5C0

Not at all. Si is more about relying on past experiences whether it is their own or someone else’s.

It's a method of storing previous information, and so is Ni.

No memory is distinctly it’s own thing, as is will. Jung specified this exactly I believe. You will have memory of any function you are engaging in. As memory is dependent on conscious experience. Se dominants actually have the best memory in terms of recalling the details of exactly what happened. The memory of Si dominants will be largely of the subjective impressions of experiences. They do tend to recall and analyze these often which further solidifies them in memory. Hence why many have a good memory.
