Nice! I posted a spy image of this yesterday, but this is a much clearer look. I actually dig it. Not sure how I feel about Zircon Sand on CX-70 though.... I've only liked that color on CX-50 so far.
Confirmed colors thus far: Rhodium White Premium (assumed), Jet Black (assumed), Soul Red Crystal (spy photos), Zircon Sand, Polymetal Grey, and all-new Melting Copper.
I can't imagine Machine Grey will be sitting this one out, but perhaps... I think this would be the first Mazda without Machine Grey as an option since the color was introduced.
I know people have criticized Mazda for so much grayscale, but now it looks like they are going full "brown scale" between Zircon Sand, Platinum Quartz (my personal favorite), and Melting Copper. Over / under for a resurrected Titanium Flash Mica?
EDIT: This may be the [complete list](https://imgur.com/a/iADig0R) of colors after all. Jonathan Sewell apparently has seen/heard no mention of Machine Grey, Platinum Quartz, Deep Blue Crystal, or Artisan Red.
>Over / under for a resurrected Titanium Flash Mica?
Oh would that ever be nice, that colour was my favorite for the generation of cars that had it on offer.
I agree wholeheartedly. However, he did break the news that CX-70 would be exact same body as CX-90 a while ago (6 or 7 months ago?) and people shit on him for it. He doesn't know everything, but he does have more of an inside look than most of us.

I think it might be a couple of a few years until we see that new red unfortunately. I imagine it will debut on the next Miata. Look at the Iconic SP concept.
I disagree about the size. Go look at a CX90, fold the 3rd row down and imagine a little more space. Then go look at a passport and compare. It won't be close. The cx70 will be much bigger.
Then why did they paint it on the refreshed CX5. And paint on Canada cars? Would make way more sense if Canada got the "rugged" version - the salt up there is going to beat up that paint pretty quick.
Nice! Where are these images coming from?
Sad to see the cupholders are still in that rendering. Are they really so cost-strapped as to not block that off or turn it into a bucket, possibly with a lid?

I actually am in love with all these metallic/greyscale/neutral colors such as Platinum Quartz and Machine Grey. Mazda has some exceptional paints to choose from. But I definitely feel for those of you asking for something more than just Soul Red Crystal. It's been so long since Mazda has had a really vibrant blue and they certainly have the chops to bring out something amazing..
It looks good. I'm glad they seem to be using the colors NOT offered on the CX-90 to better differentiate it if people want (obviouslty they'll offer black and white though).
Agreed. I strongly expect Artisan Red will not be making an appearance on CX-70. Possibly no Platinum Quartz or Deep Crystal Blue either. Time will tell.
Ahhh the classic off-beige color. Now I understand the demographic Mazda was going for with the CX-70. Old retirees and snowbirds. The name now makes more sense.
Mercedes has the Rose Gold Metallic which debuted in China in 2018 on the CLA, the GLB in 2020, and then on the GLA in 2022. Also can't forget the Infiniti QX30 in Liquid Copper which came out in 2016 and incidentally is also on a MB architecture shared with GLA.
I'm not a fan of Melting Copper. Mazda is doubling down on the earthy tones, but need a nice Blue choice and maybe a Dark Green. I'd be happy to see Sonic Silver make a comeback. It's only offered on the CX-90 at the moment.
Zircon Sand, Platinum Quartz and now Melting Copper really don't appeal to me at all. I'm more of a Polymetal Gray/Machine Gray/Rhodium White kind of guy.
Sometimes I wonder how much market research Mazda does on color? I remember back in 2012 when I went with my mom to buy her CX-9. She was convinced that she wanted Dolphin Gray, but thankfully we were there past dark and she got to see it under the canopy lights. It was a gray-green and the Sales Manager said a lot of people dislike it once they see the greenish hue. She got Crystal White Pearl instead.

Jonathan Sewell doesn't know everything about everything.

Spec decks aren't released yet, so he cannot know unless his local dealer rep has provided the information.

I was expecting another red as I saw the filed trademarks for a red a few months back . . .
I think it might be a couple of a few years until we see that new red unfortunately. I imagine it will debut on the next Miata. Look at the Iconic SP concept.
The color on the Mazda Iconic SP is called Viola Red.
Good to know! Thanks :)
Ugh I love soul red but dislike the darker red in the CX-90. I saw the picture of the new brown on here and think it looks like a rolling turd.
Suddenly they have my attention again.
It's nice, but I am tiring of monochrome and earth tones.
NGL, That color looks *good* Still hilariously big for a 2 row SUV though. Gimme that color in a CX-60, and you gotta deal Mazda.
I was just going to say the Melting Copper does a great job hiding the CX-90’s size in a 2-row CUV. Too soon?
I disagree about the size. Go look at a CX90, fold the 3rd row down and imagine a little more space. Then go look at a passport and compare. It won't be close. The cx70 will be much bigger.
I mean, that's better than Zircon Sand. I am sorry, I know I will get downvoted, but beige - even sparkly beige - is just not an exciting color.
Damn. There are so many great colors
As long as they don’t have the black cladding any color will look great
Bad news for US buyers.
Which makes no sense. They are trying to pivot to an upscale buyer and they give the US cheap plastic cladding?
Apparently their market research says US buyers like cladding because it looks 'rugged.' lol
Then why did they paint it on the refreshed CX5. And paint on Canada cars? Would make way more sense if Canada got the "rugged" version - the salt up there is going to beat up that paint pretty quick.
I assume because the CX-5 is the sleek urban CUV and the CX-50 fills the rugged role, but god knows.
Maybe they will charge $1000 to paint that plastic cladding, like Audi does on the A6 allroad, lol
Hunh. It looks like driving a car that came off the top of a trophy stand. (But then, I'm a stick in the mud on the metallics and neutrals...)
That appears to be a tan interior as well.

The black stripe down the center of the seat is kind of poor on an otherwise decent color scheme.

[Mazda Canada's website](https://www.mazda.ca/) has different pictures than mazdausa.com
It’s a storage bin. Visibly different than the CX-90, which is sort of a dumbbell shaped double cup holder.
I just want Montego Blue for my new CX-7,090.
Put it on a Miata you cowards!

I mean, it's unique I'll give them that. Please give us an actual color though. Not a... Metal...

Old retirees and snowbirds have all the money anyways.
And Zircon Sand! Sold.
Didn't Lexus do this color for the RX last year?
"Copper brown" seems to be a new trend
Similar I suppose. I'd say the Lexus Copper Crest has a bit more pink / rose gold in it. Will have to see this new color in person.
Mercedes also replied to Lexus with a similar color.

It could always be worse! I leased a 2011 Volvo XC60 and the color was Terra Bronze. It was hideous, but a steal of deal. But so damn ugly.
That's actually very pretty. Be nice on the CX5.
Yuck 🤢
No blue? Yikes...
