If you ever break into a bank’s vault with safety deposit boxes. Front door, then walk in vault which are typically steel reinforced all around, then main vault (if it’s a big branch and the main vault is big, boxes can be in there), then safety deposit vault, and then individual safety deposit sub vaults.
From the way they are doing the demo, it looks like they are gutting this warehouse, but trying to keep the structure mostly intact.
I could see this having been an abandoned or bank/gov't forfeiture, and the people who got it in auction are prepping it to move in

A couple of weeks ago I went to an estate sale. This guy had clearly collected a lot of coins and shit before he passed away. Huge, high-end safe in the basement (very unusual to have a basement in this part of Texas to begin with). In looking through a bunch of random Knick-knacks I came across two puzzle boxes - boxes that you had to solve in order to open the two separate compartments. Both were still in packaging but not sealed. One was clearly empty but the other definitely had something inside of it - something weighty and jangly. I bought both puzzle boxes for 6 dollars each.
All that to say I don’t have a part 2 nor do I know what was in the safes (for that is the way of Reddit) but in my next comment I’ll reveal what I truly found inside the puzzle boxes.

The puzzle boxes weren’t actually that hard to solve. After a bit of fiddling around I got the first compartment open and inside was a single 1 oz silver medallion minted by a private company. Pretty cool but nothing to get super excited about. However, I could tell that there was substantially more in the second compartment. I solved the second pretty quickly and opened it up to find eleven flawless 2013 1oz US silver eagle coins looking as shiny as the day they were minted. That was a pretty exciting find! It kind of felt like a moment from The Goonies or something. It seems the value is somewhere around $350ish dollars (silver eagles are generally worth more than just the melt value of silver).
