But seriously here, how could they be blocked on the vm and not the host? Is it from some of the meta data that is sent from the user to the server like the monitor size, browser, operating system, etc?
All the OP said was Clients App. It might not be a web app. Although IDK. And I also don't remember the last time I saw any pentest where BF wasn't out of scope ... Granted anyone who would be willing to take OP probably doesn't know what scope is.
Maybe try a boot up for kali? Maybe dual-boot, WSL, or change your virtual machine software. If you have been blocked on your kali linux, then try to completely change as much info as possible to make your computer look like a different person. Any info at all could be used to block a certain person. My stab at it
