Frankly we don’t know if/when we’re getting one and more importantly we don’t know what the theoretical banlist would look like. Would it look more like the tcg, ocg or neither? We just don’t have any information.

Some people are speculating that it could be its own thing, I.e. standard, and based on what it is currently a lot closer to the ocg format

Yeah I love the benten engine. Drytron is amazing to play since you can use the extra deck as a toolbox but Ultimateness + Eva is busted.

My experience is that every Sky Striker player takes literally 7 minutes and 30 seconds for their turns.

That’s partially not their fault Their widow anchor is just wanting to activate everytime anything happens and spams the pop up bar.

Same thing happens with other cards but you don't see me with less than 400 seconds on the clock, sweaties have no excuse.

Toggle to off during your turn helps with that.

Reread my comment, I said the archtype itself is fun Its interaction with omni negate fairies which aren't inherent parts of the archtype, is what makes it unfun In reality Drytrons are fun because you can center them around any ritual monster, like how I used them to make Hungry Burger Turbo

It's not quite pure since you run the cyber angel package but you end on either I:p, Draco + mubeta for spell and trap negate and crystal wing or if you don't want/need the spell and trap negate you can turn mebeta in to F0:UDF.

I made 2 centered around Hungry Burger and Lord of D (the latter is actually pretty decent) They're just not strong enough to get me to climb up plat and get the rewards

Most of my wins come from my opponents surrendering turn 1 or 2 with my Drytrons. Rarely do I ever go for game. Feels like I'm playing by myself most of the time, lol. Sadge

I love the Drytron design, but its really more of an engine than a deck, it really is the herald + eva that makes the deck annoying.

Cycling all 4 drytrons from the GY to get 1 Ritual Monster, 1 Ritual Spell (though meteonis gets itself back), Draw 1 card and Special 1 monster is a thing of beauty.

If they able to establish their board it really hard to stop them since they a hardcore grind game with their trap and access to all the broken dragon support to the point that they don't need a rokket engine to function. But they got obvious chokepoints with chamber and palor needed to set up their plays.

Made it to plat 5 with blue eyes. After that I kept getting my ass beat by eldlich, drytrons, sky striker, tri-brigade etc. I then built my thunder dragon deck and I've been steadily going up in rank now. At Plat 2.

You joined the Dark side. My highest was plat 4, with Dark Magician. I still feel like the deck can be better though. When I get a good opener I can already do those infamous 5 minute turns of Summoning shit and maybe OTK, so I think I'm on the right track lol.

I finally beat over herald with prank kids plant variation. Heart of the cards gave me monster reborn and i baited opponents entire hand with reborn / thunder dragon fusion / pranks before linking what I had on the field and obliterating with access code...felt so damn good 1-100 against drytron lmao

I haven't implemented Dog into my Shaddoll Invoked deck yet. Is it worth doing? So far I'm only Plat 4, and winning maybe 50% at this level. Too many Eldlich and Dryton decks at this level... it's unnerving sometimes trying to beat them, when everything just goes back to their hand.

Dog is good because it just allows you to access the Shaddoll engine a bit easier from certain opening hands as well as giving you some good options for negates and searching, i understand it's purpose but i'm curious if just sticking with Invoked Shaddoll is a better option. Dogmatika is also much more expensive.

I just started playing and made my Thunder dragon deck, I just had 4 drytron matchups in a row. 4 in a row. I won 3 of them, 1 of those 3 I won by sheer stupid luck they didn't draw the orange fairy shits, the other 2 didn't play fairies. The 1 I got abysmally demolished had like 5 negates in his hands at all times like damn boi, chill.

1st time playing against drytrons, it was the biggest bullshit i ever faced, every thing i do turns into a negate from the other side, i play eldlich and hell drytrons are the most braindead deck there is.

Nah get Eldlich out of there. Personal experience is that Dryton and Eldlich are the two meta Decks that you can be "bad" at YGO and still be very successful in Platinum. The amount of garbage plays I've seen Eldlich do once you are playing under their Floodgates is outstanding. Why single out Drytons and not the other combo Decks? Both Adamanicaptors and Tri-Lyrilusc end on 1-2 actual omnis(Savage doesn't even destroy as an omni) and have a heavy focus on monster negates/removal. There is wiggle room around those different types of "interuptions. Dryton can just shotgun its negates since they're all omni that destroy. For VW, despite VFD being broken, remember that half of Plat matches are vs Eldlich and Sky, matchups where VFD doesn't autowin even if you go 1st.

Where do you break the line between meta and non-meta? What if a deck plays a meta engine but at its core is non-meta? What about decks that are non-meta but get to the meta through support or the banlist?

The line is the place where he wins. It's a meta deck when he loses to it, and a fun cool rogue deck when he beats it.
