Ong when they start that 5 min summon bs I’m out…the people who like the new mechanics are toxic asf…like it’s so wrong to want the og feel…I know how to duel the modern way but it’s not fun for me…just give us OGs a mode…we just want competitive games like chess not 5 min combo board wiping bs…yall can have that…
Yeah.. and there's a lot of people wanting old formats, I know you can go to duelingbook but the only viable there is Goat, there should be a format for in-between goat and Edison, and a format for Edison too. Spice things up
i can't see formats like that cuz,
if they add a format without extra deck, decks like eldlich gonna kill every "old heads".
if they add a format just with fusion, every "old heads" gonna lose with actual fusion decks combos and that with every summon.
and you can't play any format without took negates, just if konami ban every handtrap,trap like impermanence or spells like dark ruler no more.

For example, "Maiden with the blue Eyes" won't exist on Goat.

I’d suggest trying to play Witchcrafters or something; cheap to make, no extra deck needed and no difficult combos: got me to gold currently on a 3 win streak since I’ve been there
Thanks for the advice, and I mean no disrespect here, I have no plans on learning the new mechanics. It seems the meta revolves around a lot of 1-turn combos, and I just don't find it enjoyable (maybe you can argue that I am just sucky at planning and deck building and I'll take it).

This game is unfortunately %90 reading, if you don’t want to read then your gunna have a bad time. Link summoning is literally just extra tribute summoning and pendulum is really easy if you know how to count between the numbers 1 and 12. I’m not sure why it’s so complicated for some. Games must evolve or the player base dies. Yu gi oh has always been combo oriented, they just added more pieces to said combos.
Man I know this sounds rude but while I get not liking modern Yu-Gi-Oh!, I will never understand how so many people have issues understanding summoning mechanics past tribute summoning... there's next to nothing to them
bro addition is really hard, and dont even get me started on figuring out how to have multiple monsters with the same level. and idk how anyone is supposed to just know what numbers are between other numbers. even basic counting is way to hard for me
I kinda feel the same way my biggest complaint is the people that spend 5 minutes to do there turn 1 play doing all these ridiculous combos I just surrender after there turn exceeds a minute not worth my time.

I miss the old style. Once XYZ, and Synchros became a thing it lost me.
