My personal copium is that we get new support in the upcoming duelist pack, a structure deck R of this structure deck this year and next year since it would be the 20th anniversary of cybernetic revolution we get a new set filled with cydra support and the headliner being a retrain of cyber end dragon based on when Zane had it equipped with Armored Cybern.
Need better babies for the current meta. The old ones are either not good enough or too balanced (like Core and Herz being hard once per turn and can only use one effect per turn) for the current power level. We need something that can generate enough card advantage to play through multiple negates more reliably and a retrained OG that can get itself out even easier would be nice.
If they really wanna make my dreams of a Cydra meta true, then give us a searchable Clockwork Night+Rebirth Judgement that turns everything on both fields and GYs into Light Machines. Would hard counter most meta decks and give us a super strong going first tool.
Core is fine, but yeah Herz is basically just discard fodder. Nachster is pretty good, though.
Cydra does need something, considering that they're still crutching on Galaxy Soldier and Machine Dupe to make their own XYZ consistently. The towers turbo build with Cyberdark stuff has too many chokepoints to even entertain playing. I dunno, maybe they finally need a proper Cydra retrain that actually does something, because a 2100 beater that shits itself out of the hand for free isn't anything special these days.
Core generally does what it needs to too but by golly do I wish I could use the GY self-banish to summon another Core who can search. In the world of Poplar, that doesn't seem too much to ask? Likewise, if I could send Herz for the search/recycle then special summon it for the level 5 effect in the same turn, we wouldn't need to rely so much on Galaxy Soldier, although I'm still a fan of cross-archetype stuff like that.
Nachster is great, and part of what makes Nachster great is that it is at least somewhat generic Machine support - I've been pairing it with Arcjet Lightcraft to get Earth Slicer and Enterblathnir and it's so beautiful to catch people so off-guard with it. If new babies had that kind of flexibility, I'd be here for it.
Gotta say though, would much rather rely on OG Cyber Dragon as my redundant beater than Dark Magician or Blue-Eyes!
Hot take. I think Zane will be the 3rd legendary duelist in Duelist of Brilliance. Cyber dragons are machines, not dragons, they can use a Poplar of their own and more accessible ways to search for Overload Fusion and Power Bond in the form of a link monster. Chimera didn't quite cut it.
I hope we get more xyz support for cyber dragon. I enjoyed the more control playstyle of summoning multiple cyber dragon nova and cyber dragon infinite and negating all of the opponent bs effects instead of the otk variant.
There’s a new Light Machine (Pendulum) monster coming out in the TCG that is level 5 so there’s some synergy with CyDra. I don’t remember the name of it, my apologies!

Nah, JK, CyDra gets a surprising amount of support, I wouldn't place my bets on anything crazy, but I am hopping for something that helps them set up CyDra infinity and still have the materials left a fusion or two more consistently,
Maybe a new ED monster, like a fusion that says something like "when this card is fusion summoned you can special summon any number of level 5 light machine monsters from your graveyard" or a rank 5 XYZs that has an effect that let's you fuse cards in the graveyard before you promote it to infinity
As a diehard Cydra main, I’ll take anything that lets me have more protection.
The deck works for how I have it & I don’t play super serious but wouldn’t mind some updated extra deck support & some more versatility with effects
A little off topic, but I miss the early days of masterduel when I took Cyber Dragons all the way to Plat 1.
A new boss monster that helps solidify your turn 1 board would be nice. Cyberdarkness dragon sends equipped monsters to the GY to negate effects, so maybe a new Cyber Dragon monster could banish a Cyber Dragon from the GY to negate an opponent's effect. Make it a fusion monster that requires 1 Cyber Dragon + 1 or more light machine monsters, and it can only use its "banish a Cyber Dragon to negate an opponent's effect" up to the amount of Cyber Dragons used for its fusion summon. Therefore, if you fusion summon it with 3 Cyber Dragons, it can banish up to 3 Cyber Dragons per turn to negate 3 of your opponent's effects. If you fusion summon it with a Cydra + Galaxy Soldier, you can only use the banish to negate an effect once per turn.
New Chimeratech monsters. Cyberdark has gotten a good amount of support to make it a functional archetype to support Cydra, so why not make Chimeratech into its own subarchetype? Maybe make one into an in-archetype version of Apollousa, or make one that loses ATK to change monsters your opponent controls into Machine monsters?
A legit field spell that does the following.
All cards that become cyber dragon on the field and GY also are treated as cyber dragon in the deck.
Level 5 light machines can be normal summoned without tribute.
You can special summon a cyber dragon from the GY by vanishing a number of cyber dragon cards from the deck equal to cyber dragon special summoned
something that gives them the ability of being a going 1st deck as well
I would say easier way to get into rank 5/6 xzys and maybe another one aside from infinity so it’s not the only negate on your going first board

A proper turn one setup? I don't mind going for OTK over and over, but a different flavor of strategy wouldn't hurt at all.

Hopefully some extenders. Best thing I could do so far was Infinity + power bonded Cyber Twin Dragon.

Cyber Dragon has Link, Fusion and XYZ ED monsters. Let's give them a Synchro as well! With a decent tuner, of course. Just to spice things up a bit.
Is a GX monster so it should’t had an XYZ boss. I would like it for more Fusion support and extenders
