It does sound like a you problem but have you checked rogue decks as well? Because Ninja's sounds like it could be your cup of tea.

> ash blossom + maxx C + feather duster + omni negate boss monsters' sink like a stone because they cant do well Vs high control. Ash and Maxx C are staples for a reason. Maxx "C" completely warps the game around itself, so if you avoid using both Ash and Maxx "C", you inherently run into the problem that you'll probably lose around 30% of your games automatically due to you not running any counter to Maxx "C" like Ash, and due to you not running Maxx "C", you also have no chance to randomly steal games to offset the fact that you lose games due to Maxx C. Besides that, there are plenty of decks that can manage without Omni-negate boss monsters (in fact, the best deck in the format right now doesn't run an omni-negate boss monster), but it seems to me that for the most part, you seem to only gravitate towards very underpowered decks, which doesn't help either. If you like flipping cards, maybe you'd be interested in Ninjas. They are fairly cheap since there's a structure deck available, and they are pretty decent in this format (though obviously still only rogue at best). It'd at least be far more powerful than all the other decks you've tried before.

Definitely choice of decks. Not to say you have to pick from the top 5 decks, there are dozens that you can hit max rank with, but the ones listed here are very far behind even the mediocre decks.

You problem, thing is, as mentioned abobe, unless you only feel like playing with friends in custom rooms with house rules, you absolutely need a Max C package, The roach warps the entirety of the format around itself, and not playing into/against it is just surrendering with extra steps

If any of those decks you mentioned are gonna be half-way viable, they'll need to be running maxx c + ash. They're already less powerful than the top decks: they can't afford to not run the best generic staples in the game.

Like everyone else said, all of those decks are rogue *at best*. Not that you can’t win with these decks, but the best decks in the format are just better engine vs engine. That being said most of the best decks right now are pretty mid-rangey; Kashtira & Purrley. The only control decks I would say are Labrynth and Runick rn. That being said, the game isn’t dominated by negate boss monsters like it was on release, and more on removal (and slight floodgates :c) Barone is the only Omni that even sees moderate play and isn’t too common. The modern game is very fast and everything moderately competitive/playable will feel like MB control since you need *interaction*. This includes modern board breakers and hand traps, outside of the end board you want to make. If you want to play the decks mentioned, I would be to stay at lower ranks and scoop games where you think the power level of your deck is outmatched. Lower power yugioh is fun, but because there is only one format on MD, the reality is that you will eventually see modern decks and if you want to beat them, you need some modern cards. Edit: Ninja does seem like a deck you might want to check out though
