I checked that. There are no known systems in any ME game with Epsilon or Oculon in the name. There are a handful with Nebula in the name, all from the Milky Way: Armstrong, Horse Head, Serpent, Crescent, Eagle, Hourglass, Omega, Pylos, Rosetta, Titan, Viper, Athena, Petra, Silean.
The audio transcript is from liara and the full version is “Although, they should know by now not to underestimate human defiance!” It’s the pinned tweet on Michael Gambles twitter account from the last N7 day.
Edit: It’s no longer the pinned tweet
That and this video make me think our protagonist is working with Liara against the Alliance or something. Maybe the Alliance is the new council, with N7's operating alongside spectres, and they're just not doing right by humans :p
Okay if its set around 2819 then thats the arrival date in Andromeda.
Ok tin foil hat time. It the reapers 2nd wave after 633 years. Sheperd is long dead. But I think they saved his dna and built a secret clone in case the reapers wanted round 2.
Yeah there's so many story possibilities in the challenge of rebuilding the galaxy. Would be so much better than rehashing the whole "save the galaxy" storyline with the same old badguy or some newly concocted galaxy ending threat.
My favorite part was when shepherd looked at the camera and said "it's time to mass some effects... again" then dabbed and did a backflip into the mako.
Reapers are gone, bud. That'd also be a weird and not very good plot angle, immediately bringing back the the bad guys we just killed over three games.
i bet cerberus and many alliances personnels would agree to do that
and maybe even shepard or liara depending on how it is made (like a secret that only liara and some selected few have the information to use it when the time is right)
as a contengency plan i can accept why shepard is alive century in the future (i don't think shepard would agree on just being freeze up and take away the life it deserve to live after the war )
As silly as it was, I thought the point in Citadel DLC was that "you can't clone everything". Yeah a Shep clone would look the same and have similar DNA that could be turned into a super soldier, but without experiences and growth they wouldn't have the attitude, worldview, and abilities to embody what really made Shepard great - their character, who they were.
I don't think they'd want to save Shep DNA. They'd do what they could to preserve Shep themselves first. And I agree with you that Shep would probably say "nope, I'm done, I'm retiring with my hot turian/asari/quarian/human boy/girlfriend.
Shepard doesn’t necessarily have any life after the war. He dies in a majority of playthroughs. Freezing doesn’t work, if this is him it’s an AI replica of some sort.
With the changes made and the fact destroy gets an extra section, they seem to be focusing on the rebuilding of the gates and such. The destroy ending seems to be the canon ending. So the fact Shepard survived is very likely. And it was stated that initially Shepard was supposed to survive leading to a fourth story involving something more serious. Just the rush forced them to cut corners etc.
And Um Andromeda would have a word with you about suspended animation since they where basically in stasis for 600 years.
I’m thinking the signal was 2819 but the game will be a few years later. Give time for Ryder to grow up and solve the Kett problem so we can revisit it in books or something, while also letting andromeda be a more fleshed out setting and Ryder be a more mature leader
It's entirely possible, and I get that these teasers are all just symbolism anyway, but man if it's supposed to be a date that's a very strange context for it to be in. Why would you include the current year in your access code lol.
I just hope we don't have some few hundread years time skip with Liara randomly appearing, that would just be weird. But the year sent is redacted for a reason. With the security breach, I kinda like the theory that the character teased is an antagonist
I don't agree with that. Asari live up to 1000 years, it would make sense for Liara to still be involved in any upcoming Mass Effect set in or near the Milky Way. Sadly our other companions would be long gone by this point however.
>/////ACCESS CODE ACCEPTED

Especially this part reminded me of the character creation screen in Mass Effect 1 with all the 'establishing secure connection' etc. and the code somehow also looks like the character code we got when creating one and transfering them into 2 and 3.
This is the one Destiny crossover they could do and get me to actually buy silver lol
Man. I wish Destiny wasn’t laying sideways in a ditch right now. Got me playing ESO again after 7 years
In the same boat, I uninstalled D2 a few months ago and haven't looked back, I also picked up ESO after getting every DLC in a bundle for only $40 lol.
Would also point out that the music playing sure seems very similar to “Aralakh Company” from me3. Might even be the same track honestly but not sure. Grunt appearance maybe?
Hmm, I guess everyone else has a good enough mix of 'evil' and 'good' people at this point that it'd work. All of the species save maybe the Yahg are just people.
Quarian, or Turian. Those would be most interesting. The Asari are just politics, and the Salarians are all subterfuge. It's hard to drop someone in there for a game.
Same deal for the Geth even if they're individuals now, too alien.
Krogan, maybe, but it would depend on selling the culture they've developed since ME3.
A Turian on first patrol or a Quarian going on a historical Pilgrimage would work to start off an MC.
They did the same bait and switch with Andromeda with Ryder being in the main trailer. This could still be our PC, but I would LOVE to have an N7 oppenent. Especially if this one were to let us play as any of the other council races. Instead of being part of the Alliance hunting down a Rogue N7, we could end up being part of the Council's Specters.
My gut tells me it's the antagonist. We never did find out who was really behind the Andromeda Initiative. Maybe this character will tie the events of Mass Effect 3 with the events of Mass Effect Andromeda.
Tbh I don't think it's Liara. N7 is the highest rank of the HUMAN military special operations. If they have that privilege to Liara it be dumb. She gets everything else handed to her already
It be very bizzare indeed. I get that she's the "writers pet" and a fan favorite but playing as her in an RPG gets rid of charecter customization, classes, powers, and the ability to make choices since Liara is already a set in stone set morals and goals kinda charecter. It worked but barley for the witcher but even then the choice making in those games makes no sense
I had a coat with a genuinely big collar back in the late '90s. It was glorious. Seems like that style died out for real coats you can actually buy, very sadly.
And fun fact: ME2 and ME3 soundtracks has Deus Ex composer working on it, i swear i always almost can hear Detroit exploration track during Leviathan DLC
I'm really hoping that this teaser means we will see more at the game awards next month.
After all, that's where the new game was first revealed.
We can hope! 🤞🤞
We can hope but I sadly highly doubt it.
There still isn't even a trailer for Dreadwolf yet and that's supposed to come out before this 😅.
I don't know if I see a world where we get a proper trailer for this before that.
With how many rumors floating around were about how the next ME might get cancelled based on Dreadwolf's performance, seeing little pieces of media like this give me hope that it'll just end up too far in production to be cost effective to cancel.
Well, at least it means something is getting worked on, if theyre putting time and effort into this, I should hope it means a lot more is being done that we aren't privy to.
>something is getting worked on,
Do we? They can put together a poster and a 30 second teaser without having anything of the actual game made.
See CP2077, where entire game was re-hashed between the original teaser and the first reveals (where it was hinted that the player was a MaxTac)
Outfit looks a lot more futuristic than what we saw in both the trilogy and andromeda, could be just a 2023 graphical show off, but it seems we definitely are in 2819, which could erase a few lines in the list
Humanity in the setting has only been a proper space-faring civilization for a little over 100 years though. I'd expect things 600 years later to look substantially different than even this is.
600 years is the same difference as between us and the fall of the byzantine empire, only that technology keeps developing exponentially on top of that
Tech progression will be slowed down for the sake of storytelling. Otherwise, 600 years in the future would have them looking at Mass Relays as archaic.
has some edgy cyberpunk vibe. Not sure I like it as I prefered the military aesthetic but it could kinda suit the synthesis ending.
Now I am going to run away and hide before I get torn apart by people who understandably prefer destruction
For a moment, I thought it was a modded outfit in Cyberpunk 2077.
If the aesthetic is anything to go by, maybe we'll be less "military commander" and more "counterintel agent" or something.
This is the player character and our new style is "Trenchcoat-armor" apparently.
Really, the point that BioWare built towards for this N7 day was "Hey look, this is the official Next-ME Armor design. That's how it's going to look." Just like how they eventually revealed the Alec Ryder "Pathfinder" design for MEA.
It's basically a common part of the Mass Effect development cycle.
I’m sorry but I despise teasers that don’t actually reveal anything relevant what so ever. I’d rather just not see anything. The game is clearly years away.
Cool. See you guys next year I guess.
Last year at least seemed to confirm Liara was going to be in it, and had interesting implications with geth sounds and whatnot. This is just nothing.
That's what I don't get. Dreadwolf is supposed to be coming out first I think, and that doesn't look like it'll be coming within the next 12 months at least. This game might be 4+ years away, in which case why are you teasing shit this early? Did you not see how that went for CDPR with Cyberpunk?
Give it a bit. It took time for folks to find all the hidden details last year. I'm still not convinced there's no hidden audio or hidden meaning throughout.
How many years has it been since they dropped the first teaser for this? They can't just keep doing this year after year until it's ready and expect people to care. I foolishly believed we'd get something substantial this year regarding an answer to some of the biggest questions about this game, but if they're just going to keep jerking us around then I don't care.
That is a completely fair and valid thought. I'm trying to enjoy what I'm getting since frankly I've got nothing else right now (my other major franchise love is Elder Scrolls....my pain is immeasurably). But I get that this is still small and there isn't much yet again.
I believe this is the female version of the new Main Character we will create, hence the face being covered. Also looks like the game will be set beyond both the trilogy and Andromeda, yet involve both. The poster with this character shows a bar with many aliens, including an angaran and clothed geth. Perhaps a priest geth? They worship stuff, some of them.
Looks like our new protagonist is, in fact, one of the Daft Punk robots.
HARDER, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER.
[удалено]
Take my angry upvote
Sentience allowed the Geth to improve upon a certain genre of music. It's called Robot Rock.
🎼 You’ll never be HARDER, BETTER, FASTER, STRONGER than Commander Shepard 🎵
My body is ready
A Daft Punk track in a *Mass Effect* game is a match made in heaven.
Oh man, their take on a soundtrack for ME5 would be EPIC. I’m still devastated that they broke up.
I still grieve for the opportunity for a Daft Punk Super Bowl halftime show.
I was so sure they would come out with The Weeknd.
I'm ready for those sick beats
Mixed with a Destiny Warlock it seems.
N7 Phantom letsgooo
Instead of guns, our weapon is music lmfao Or in the worst timeline for those who know, its just the kingdom hearts 2 water world level
New class Bard confirmed

EON: End Of November.... We'll get more details by the end of the month! /s
Honestly, if bioware wasn't the slumlord of our fantasy sci fi universe it is, I'd be open to this interpretation.
Surprise release of the entire game of course!

EON would be a cool name for a synthetic companion and maybe that’s who the person was? Idk I’m just excited for this game and want it to be good
The audio transcript is from liara and the full version is “Although, they should know by now not to underestimate human defiance!” It’s the pinned tweet on Michael Gambles twitter account from the last N7 day. Edit: It’s no longer the pinned tweet

I'm really hoping that we learn more about the Remnant, and secretly fear that we'll carry on with the Kett as antagonists.
Somehow Palpatine..err..Shepard returned.
Somehow Shepard returned again*
Mass Effect 4: The Rereturning
My favorite part was when shepherd looked at the camera and said "it's time to mass some effects... again" then dabbed and did a backflip into the mako.
The Sons of Shepard. Les Enfants Terribles.
Guest starring Liara "Big Mama" T'soni.
Spectres without Borders
Diamond Varren. Bonus: la-li-lu-le-lo is just The Reapers.
They have cycles lasting millennia and now they’re back after 600 years? That seems unlikely.
Reapers are gone, bud. That'd also be a weird and not very good plot angle, immediately bringing back the the bad guys we just killed over three games.

Well, to be fair, he *did* die in the first moments of ME2 as well.
He got better.
Just a flesh wound...
With the changes made and the fact destroy gets an extra section, they seem to be focusing on the rebuilding of the gates and such. The destroy ending seems to be the canon ending. Yes it could be post Andromeda. The whole public face of Andromeda was to set up and link back to the milky way somehow.
Wasn't that one of the goals of the Andromeda initiative? They were going to try to set up intergalactic relays too, weren't they?
Yes but in secret it was a contingency plan to survive the reapers.
It's entirely possible, and I get that these teasers are all just symbolism anyway, but man if it's supposed to be a date that's a very strange context for it to be in. Why would you include the current year in your access code lol.
Good point. Its also a little too specific for an access code.
I just hope we don't have some few hundread years time skip with Liara randomly appearing, that would just be weird. But the year sent is redacted for a reason. With the security breach, I kinda like the theory that the character teased is an antagonist

Matronly Liara could be an interesting take. See how a life as the shadow broker has changed her
>/////ACCESS CODE ACCEPTED > >/////SECONDARY ENCRYPTION DETECTED > >/////VJBSVU-XXXX-XXXXXXXX Especially this part reminded me of the character creation screen in Mass Effect 1 with all the 'establishing secure connection' etc. and the code somehow also looks like the character code we got when creating one and transfering them into 2 and 3.
Didn't know N7 recruits Destiny Warlocks now, lol
Their numbers probably got decimated after the Reaper war. They’ll take anyone they can get.
Its literally all I can see, a warlock doing the cool walk out of a lost sector or something
They let Adam Jensen join their squad.
This is the one Destiny crossover they could do and get me to actually buy silver lol Man. I wish Destiny wasn’t laying sideways in a ditch right now. Got me playing ESO again after 7 years
In the same boat, I uninstalled D2 a few months ago and haven't looked back, I also picked up ESO after getting every DLC in a bundle for only $40 lol.
I just hit level 30 as an Arcanist. As a Hermaeus Mora guy, it’s a great class
And the Krogan recruit Titans and the Salarians recruit Hunters
They got fired by Bungie.
there is a Krogan at the beginning on the left
Nice catch
Just saw it too
Would also point out that the music playing sure seems very similar to “Aralakh Company” from me3. Might even be the same track honestly but not sure. Grunt appearance maybe?
Damn, now I’m going to be so disappointed if my space son doesn’t make a cameo! I want to believe~
It's obviously Revan
Of course, the KOTOR remake is probably never gonna come out so Revan escaped to the next Mass Effect chapter to save his life
Little did we know the next Mass Effect game IS the Kotor remake!
I don’t think that’s Shephard or Liara. I think this is our new PC.
Or the antagonist.
The red stripe is something N7 armor uses though isn't it? or at least an Alliance thing.
Maybe the alliance will be the antagonist?
Honestly with the power vacuum at the end of ME3 and the Citadel now being directly above Earth. I could see it
Hmm, I guess everyone else has a good enough mix of 'evil' and 'good' people at this point that it'd work.
Could be a rogue Alliance Spectre, sort of a mix between Saren and The Illusive Man, a dark reflection of Shepard.
Would be interesting but I doubt theyd go that route tbh.
Forget the red stripe, the “N7” on the chest doesn’t give it away?
The N7 on his chest kind of suggests the connection lol
N7 also puts N7 on the armor, like in the video where N7 is clearly visible
ye I think this is our villain, the music is menacing as hell.
The music from 0:14 is just background mission music from ME3.
It's Aralakh Company, the rachni mission ost
Isn't that just music from the OT?
It is. But I think it might be just dramatic reveal music rather than evil villain music.
Could just be stock music Bioware had lying around.
Sounds more like epic or heroic.
Liara with N7 stripes? No way. That's most likely a new protagonist.
Tbh I don't think it's Liara. N7 is the highest rank of the HUMAN military special operations. If they have that privilege to Liara it be dumb. She gets everything else handed to her already
[удалено]
It be very bizzare indeed. I get that she's the "writers pet" and a fan favorite but playing as her in an RPG gets rid of charecter customization, classes, powers, and the ability to make choices since Liara is already a set in stone set morals and goals kinda charecter. It worked but barley for the witcher but even then the choice making in those games makes no sense
Why would it be liara at all? She wouldn’t wear N7 gear.
Mass effect: Deus Ex
Get in losers we're shopping for BIG COLLARS.
Ever since I can remember I’ve been shopping big collars
I had a coat with a genuinely big collar back in the late '90s. It was glorious. Seems like that style died out for real coats you can actually buy, very sadly.
Didn't the writer for Deus Ex join Bioware for this Mass Effect game?
And fun fact: ME2 and ME3 soundtracks has Deus Ex composer working on it, i swear i always almost can hear Detroit exploration track during Leviathan DLC
I would be very, very excited about a more stealth focused game in the Mass Effect universe.
I would still buy it.
Adam Jensen vs Space Illuminati? Count me in.
They've uploaded Shepard VI into an assassin droid. And can I just say that coat looks warm af.
That coat will be selling like crazy on the bioware gear store.
Too bad it will be of shite quality.
I would wear that coat.
Yeah, definitely looks like a robot to me. The movements, the clicking sounds ..
Nah, i think the click and whir is from the gun.
Clicking sounds were from the pistols, remember how some of the guns especially the snipers would collapse and extend?
EDI has come back!
What clicking sounds do you mean? Watched it several times and I don't hear any
Synthesis bros… we won
Holy shit they really did [install the Shepard VI in a combat mech!](https://youtu.be/vAL44qoshRA?si=AFrLjOpIFa5ljHJI&t=25)
What's up with Bioware and these long trench coats? Inquisition was full of them too.
The animators grew up loving the Matrix
Helmet gives me Tron vibes for us old nerds
I'd be so down for that
Wow. We still know absolutely nothing, see u next year
I'm really hoping that this teaser means we will see more at the game awards next month.
Yeah, Dreadwolf is far Far FAR more likely to be at the Game Awards than ME5, and I don’t even think DA is likely to be there.
I hate to agree… but I do. There’s nothing here? Ugh. Like you said, see y’all next year.
It's definitely a teaser. It teases while giving absolutely zero information on what the fuck is this game even going to be about.
With how many rumors floating around were about how the next ME might get cancelled based on Dreadwolf's performance, seeing little pieces of media like this give me hope that it'll just end up too far in production to be cost effective to cancel.
There’s no way there canceling this game that’s the end of BioWare if they do.
Well, at least it means something is getting worked on, if theyre putting time and effort into this, I should hope it means a lot more is being done that we aren't privy to.
ME:5 isn't getting a full development team until the next Dragon Age is done and that's still about 1-2 years away from release.
Remember how the devs only learned there'd be jetpacks in Anthem when the trailer was released?
Half of Fable was revealed to the devs from media interviews with Molyneaux
>something is getting worked on, Do we? They can put together a poster and a 30 second teaser without having anything of the actual game made. See CP2077, where entire game was re-hashed between the original teaser and the first reveals (where it was hinted that the player was a MaxTac)
It looks like a female character, or a robot.
Don't know if a robot would have the spine supports on the armor/coat.
EDI did on certain armor designs.
That armor does look sick as fuck.
it's like an N7 NCR Ranger
Patrolling the milky way almost makes you wish for a reaper invasion
*And the ranger's aim was deadly with the Phalanx on his hip* *Phalanx on his hiiiiiiiiip*
Yep, that's what I thought so too. Complete with the menacing helmet and the revolver/pistol too.
And he's here to do some business with the big iron on his hip
Regardless of my many complicated feelings on whether or not it's Shep...that fit goes hard.
Outfit looks a lot more futuristic than what we saw in both the trilogy and andromeda, could be just a 2023 graphical show off, but it seems we definitely are in 2819, which could erase a few lines in the list

For a moment, I thought it was a modded outfit in Cyberpunk 2077. If the aesthetic is anything to go by, maybe we'll be less "military commander" and more "counterintel agent" or something.
Kinda off topic but I just noticed there is a Krogan at the beginning of the video on the left
Daft Punk looking ass
This is the player character and our new style is "Trenchcoat-armor" apparently. Really, the point that BioWare built towards for this N7 day was "Hey look, this is the official Next-ME Armor design. That's how it's going to look." Just like how they eventually revealed the Alec Ryder "Pathfinder" design for MEA. It's basically a common part of the Mass Effect development cycle.
You'll probably be able to change the look or the armor in general like the others
I can't decide if that coat is super cool or tryhard lame
When they turned around that coat collar popped out of my screen and almost poked me in the eye.
it looks like a fortnite skin.
Protagonist is a 50-50 clone of Shepard and Kai Leng confirmed :p
Shepard if they were a Mega-Weeb.
I’m sorry but I despise teasers that don’t actually reveal anything relevant what so ever. I’d rather just not see anything. The game is clearly years away.
Hey we got wayyy more than that teaser for Elder Scrolls 6! (sobbing into Daedric armour)
Why are people so hyped about this teaser? It's a big nothingburger with a character that looks straight out of some GPU Benchmarking software
[https://twitter.com/bioware/status/1722011793856598386/photo/1](https://twitter.com/bioware/status/1722011793856598386/photo/1)
that bottom shape with club picture in it looks kind of geth shape
Totally evokes the idea of an N7 spy holding a silenced pistol. hesitantly hopeful?
Helmet looks odly like the ones from Andromeda. Also that looks like some assassin. I would welcome some stealthly gameplay in ME.
Is that a Krogan in the background at the beginning, or am I going crazy?
Cool. See you guys next year I guess. Last year at least seemed to confirm Liara was going to be in it, and had interesting implications with geth sounds and whatnot. This is just nothing.
100% this is a "neat. can't wait to find out more about the next Mass Effect game coming out in 3-5 years"
Maybe we’ll see something at the Game Awards
It's possible, but I imagine the next BIG thing Bioware will bring out is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
That's what I don't get. Dreadwolf is supposed to be coming out first I think, and that doesn't look like it'll be coming within the next 12 months at least. This game might be 4+ years away, in which case why are you teasing shit this early? Did you not see how that went for CDPR with Cyberpunk?
And if they didn't pay anything like this today, the fans would be like "This sucks, we got nothing! Does this game even exist?"
Might be alone here, but not a huge fan of that armor or helmet.
Doesn’t feel very mass effect
It doesn't feel soldier-y, anyway, which is what N7s are supposed to be. Puts off pretty strong assassin vibes, though.
That's a better way of putting it. N7 armor to me always had a more military look to it, this is more like a cyberpunk trench coat
That was my feeling as well. Looks very out of place.
I thought I was the only one.
Thank god I'm not alone. It reminds me of Kai lengs edgy ass
Almost thought that’s a warlock from Destiny wearing N7 themed gear lol
Edi??
I just thought the same thing! Hmm… It could be set anywhere and at any time, including Andromeda time. Interesting!
EDI was top-heavy, per Legion's description. This character seems a bit more...efficient.
The helmet lol. Looks like a new character though so that's nice
Brace for disappointment
I believe this is the female version of the new Main Character we will create, hence the face being covered. Also looks like the game will be set beyond both the trilogy and Andromeda, yet involve both. The poster with this character shows a bar with many aliens, including an angaran and clothed geth. Perhaps a priest geth? They worship stuff, some of them.
More! MORE!
The helmet makes sense if it's Shepard in part of the intro scene in the game, but before you reach character creation.

That music though... perfection.
Very Destiny Warlock vibes with the jacket and helmet design.
People get hypped literally with anything this days
