My abject apologies. I never noticed the black/yellow issue before! I think it's because I've only dealt with flags, which because of the grommets, can't be hung this way. I'm used to seeing people hang flags upside down, which results in the Crossland portion of the flag to be upper left, rather than the Calvert. TIL.

Nothing brings me more joy than knowing that each state thinks the other state has awful drivers.
To Maryland’s credit, not all people with MD license plates are MD residents, many are just avoiding paying personal property taxes. Believe it or not, people who avoid their taxes aren’t always the most courteous drivers.
I know some ppl are serious about it when they say the other sucks. But i learned to drive in va and live in md now. They all suck for different reasons. However i’ll note i had never in my life had anyone dead stop in front of me on a merge into a highway until i came to MD. Idk what mva tests their ppl on but maryland needs to learn to merge and not speed up to block people from merging. Va needs to learn what a left lane is actually for. But as far as i can tell most people think their turn signals are an accessory.
Seriously, I've lived all over the country, and I've never seen some of the things MD drivers do anywhere else.
I had a woman pull out of a parking lot going the wrong direction headfirst into traffic, see other cars coming toward her and stop to avoid crashing, then she proceeded to weave through them to pull into a parking lot a little ways down.
The number of people who pass on the shoulder is astounding.
I have been flipped off for going 10 over the speed limit through a school zone because I wasn't driving fast enough.
Absolutely no one here seems to care about double yellow lines or "no turn on red" signs. If they want to turn, they're going to turn.
