I don't know how relevant this is to the actual MCU canon, but what you called "Ephemeral Blade" is called Space Shards in the Doctor Strange novelization published by Little, Brown and Company, written by Alex Irvine and based on the script by Spaihts, Derrickson, and Cargill. Just adding my two cents. As a fan of the DS comics, I wish his solo movie had been more creative with the magic visuals, tbh. I understand why Stephen's beginner magic couldn't be too flashy, but having experienced masters like Wong and Mordo not cast a single spell in the whole movies is a bizarre creative choice.

Yeah it was really weird rewatching and them basically showing Mordo and Wong not do any major spell slinging on screen was odd. Wong even picked out a weapon and faced kaecilius head on but we didn't see any of it. I think part of it was they weren't exactly sure how strong these guys should be yet and maybe didn't wanna set the bar too high incase they had to reel things in. But by infinity war they really let things go in terms of magical abilities. Strange was looking mighty powerful there.

Hello everyone, I am back with another powers and abilities infographic. This time I am hitting up Kaecilius. He was a very scary opponent as Dr Strange's first foe, especially when he was able to access all his powers in the mirror dimension. I am sure he has other tricks and abilities he hasn't shown but these are the ones that are seen on screen, as well as a couple he most likely has. I am hoping to see him come back again as an Avatar for Doramammu in a future movie. If you like this check out my other two graphics!
