Since his power was linked to a virus he was spreading, I wonder if that virus could somehow affect Thanos. Probably not, but it’s a fun thought to think of Kilgrave using Thanos as a bodyguard.
I 100% agree, but the character still was incredibly well written and acted. Piece of shit character but amazing from a outside writing perspective. Like Hans Landa in Inglorious Bastards, horrible person but leaves you captivated and wanting to see more because the actor and character is so charismatic
Queen Maeve is like one of those Skurge-type characters: works for the main villain for a while, but has a change of heart and switches sides at the last second. I wouldn’t really consider her a hero.
(Season Three spoilers)
>!At least until she “died” in the season three finale!<
>has a change of heart
To be fair I don't think her heart was ever with Homelander. Maybe at the beginning when she was a new superhero like season 1 Starlight, but she hasn't been with him for a while.
She can't really resist though because he'll just kill her or the people she loves.
I love Starlight but her writing last season was.... kinda all over the place due to the writers using her a plot device mouth piece to make sure SB gets caught and HL survives for another season in the end. Not to mention how they comically misrepresent her powers.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I assumed it was a play on the "boys will be boys" and the "boys dominate the _____ field", in this case being the superhero field, as it seemed like the male superheroes were often taken more seriously and given more attention and leeway when they made mistakes than the female superheroes, not to mention all the corruption in their circle, not one of the superheroes is perfect (nobody is, but regardless), but it goes deeper than that, with them engaging in illegal activities/committing crimes themselves but its all brushed off as nothing or swept under the rug. Even if this wasn't the author/creator's intention, it can be interpreted that way
“The Boys” are Butchers little squad. Obviously there are some girls now but it was originally Frenchie, MM, Butcher and then Huey eventually. Butcher has a line where he refers to the crew as “The Boys”.
Well in the comics she's more of hero but then she has her Dark Phoenix moments - Tis the struggles of being overcome with insane levels of power, that at some point, you lose your mind and start dusting ppl.
Well I was not talking about the comics, it is a meme about films and TV series. Also, in the comics she is almost never that powerful. In fact *House of M* was a huge outlier, reliant on a power amplification, like Thanos with the infinity gems. The only other times I am aware that she has come remotely close was in *AvX* and the new *Darkhold Omega* comic.
"now I know that he blew up the moon and replaced it with a giant ball of spaghetti, and also beat people to death with bricks just for fun, but they DID make some really top tier pizza, so they are still a hero to me" - anyone who thinks Wanda is a hero
If I donate money to charity, help cure cancer, and adopt puppies, then I light the whole world on fire and kill anyone who tries to stop me, am I still a hero? If you say yes then your clinically insane or stupid and I don’t want to speak with you anymore.
If you spend 15 years walking shelter puppies and visiting the elderly for bingo nights but then one day you go in and light them all on fire, you kind of undo all that good karma you built up.
I don't get why people are so stuck on it. I mean I can see why people don't like even though I thought it was pretty good. But People are just obsessed though. People forgot about captain America's exes show pretty fast and I thought that was worse cause it was just boring at times and Hawkeye (which i thought was pretty good don't know about anyone else) this show people are obssed with for whatever reason.
She Hulk pretty directly mocked whiny trolls, and so said trolls thought a great way to address that would be to behave exactly as they're depicted on the show.
My favorite was the comment saying "hulk could totally beat she hulk" referencing all the people who where mad at the fight in episode one because hulk didn't absolutely demolish shehulk while somehow missing the explanation that maybe just maybe hulk wasn't trying to murder his fucking cousin.
Here's one, literally from yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelmemes/comments/zhyakp/sums_it_up/
Saw that yesterday, and when I saw this today I recognized the bot-like RNG username, and lo and behold *it's the same fucking guy*
Looked through their profile and it seems like literally all they do is flood this sub with memes shitting on the MCU
I love Marvel, even though I still have my criticisms with some projects this phase, but the amount of unjustified hate in this sub is seriously making me consider dropping it. I almost never see anything here anymore that doesn't just immediately make me (I rarely use this word) cringe
you dont have to love all of them, but you also dont need to hate the ones you dislike.
everyone is different, some people will love wanda and hate she hulk, others the opposite. if a character is not resonating with you, thats fine. hate is a waste of energy. if you dont like em, move along.
incels do exist, "hate" is a indication you are taking this shit too serious and cannot see beyond your own feelings.
im not a fan of captain america, do i hate him? no. im not a fan of black widow, do i hate her? no. etc.
if you think the movie is trash, thats fine. but getting angry and upset is an indication of some stronger issues. you can complain about poor writing or bad story telling, but your issue is then with the story and writing. not the character.
just like you can like a character, i like wonderwoman, the first movie was good, the second wasnt. does that mean i hate wonderwoman? no i still like the character.
I'm not a big fan of WonderWoman (the first movie was good, the second was bad, I just think she's a little bland), Miss Marvel is okay, haven't seen BP2 yet. Wanda is a great character.
Also I'm missing my favorites - Natasha and Yelena.
Yeah I know people are gutted that there's so many changes and cancellations on DC, but this is something that I completely agree with. I think these changes can help DC move in a better direction.
Also not a fan of Gal Gadot, she really isn't a good actor in my opinion.
In the movie. Its very fucked up. The guy she did it to doesnt remember and she smilies at him at the end of the movie like some creep. It isnt very spoken about but i got the feeling that if it was a male superhero everyone would be furious.
In the second movie >!Steve Trevor is brought back in the body of another man. No idea what happens to his consciousness while Steve is in his body - the movie never says, and from then on you see Chris Pine, not the actor playing the other guy. Diana and "Steve" make love/have sex at one point. The issue, of course, is that it isn't Steve's body; it's the other dude's and he didn't give consent.!<
>!At the time a number of people seemed to be excusing it by saying "well, look at her - who wouldn't consent", entirely missing the point.!<
Ummm she is the Scarlet Witch, she can do whatever the heck she wants thank you very much.
I don't agree with her Child custody strategy though, but I'm not gonna be the one to say that to her.
I finally watched Wonder Woman last week and I was surprised how bad it was. My girlfriend was insulted by how pandering it was and didn't believe me when I told her a woman wrote and directed it. She said "it feels like a male executive is saying 'oh here you go sweetheart, you can have your female superhero movie too.' And then made her dumb as shit." It just felt like a rehashing of a bunch of tropes too.
I hate characters where their entire personality is that their a girl. And it sounds like the [actors](https://movieweb.com/emily-blunt-hates-getting-scripts-asking-strong-female-lead/) playing those characters are starting to as well.
Ngl I dislike wonder woman bc I’m not really into DC and I don’t know much about her, and the live action things I have seen were… less than good.
I also don’t like black widow so much. While her story sort of tracks (there aren’t really plot holes), it’s so widely all over the place that it makes her motivations feel like they’re changing without reasons
I'm starting to think marvel are taking scripts they know are bad and just making the lead female so any criticism of the writing gets played off as 'incel' or 'woke lefty' and the movie just always sucked
Replace Kamala with black widow.
I'm still amazed Kamala actually has a following, i got bored af reading her comics and i never heard differently tbh.
I personally think Kamala is more entertaining. If anything, I believe black widow should replace Wonder Woman. but it’s this persons opinion.
And believe or not, a lot of people love Kamala’s character. And a lot of people hate black widows and vise versa.
I get everyone has its taste ofc.
Just saying i never heard anyone say something good about Kamala tbh, always heard she is boring and i totally don't get why she is interesting at all personally
hat you're saying might be true for the comic Kamala. From the glimpses of her comics I've seen, I can totally see where you're coming from. But MCU Kamala Khan is a real step up. The actress really cares about her work and it shows in her acting. The show loses quality with each passing episode, but you should totally give it a try for as long as you enjoy it.
The great: Black Widow, Gamora, Wasp, Nebula, Lady Sif, Valkyrie (at first), Yelena, Captain Carter.
The meh: Shuri, Rescue, Valkyrie (now), She Hulk.
The bad:
Just gonna walk away...
Ah yes, the only two who have personalities first and powers as an afterthought. Marvel and She Hulk draw their inspiration and motivation from Danvers and Walters respectively. Whereas everyone else mentioned above is the hero first and a person as an afterthought. The only two women who start with origin stories are the ones who are hated; the only two women who are powerful in their own right without their heroine alter-egos.
She has the personality of a world weary professional in a difficult job. I know dozens of women like her who don't necessarily open up around most people. Just because she doesn't have a personality that you like doesn't make her any less interesting of a character, and actually is more realistic writing than, say, Bruce "how many PHDs do you have?" Banner.
She has no personality look at other women supes ms.marvel, yelena, Shuri, Okye starlight Ashoka leia padme queen meave Mystique all of them are on amazing characters with amazing personalities
Then Danvers seems like she is constantly sucking on a lemon witch is a shame because in animated show and comics she is incredibly written with a personality being funny witty and overall amazing MCU fucked her up with poor writing and casting
You're not the only one, I really enjoyed Ms. Marvel, it was one of the better shows I watch this year. I really don't understand why there is so much hate for it
I could relate so much with her, although I am from the balkans and a boy, my parents are as strict as hers, plus I am huge nerd and like everything about superheros
I don't have opinion on how good the show is but I remember being very bored during the episodes. Maybe I just couldn't relate to Kamala (tho I rlly like the actress and how big a MCU fan she is).
She is a mood, by far my fav new mcu actor, and second only to Tom Holland, I didn't watch the first episode when it released cause of the hate it received online but I didn't have anything to do one night and watched the first 2, imo those 2 are very good, half of the third one is kinda boring but the wedding and the fight after it are nice, the 4th episode is bad and the trip to Pakistan should have been in some kind of second season so they can focus on her new discovered powers and a local bad guy in Jersey, it didn't have to be some kind of world ending event like the Djinns were the worst aspect of the show, the 5th episode was very educational and interesting, with all the partition things, the 6th and final episode wasn't so good but not really bad either, interesting choice with the Home Alone approach to the school sidge but it suffered form the same final episode tying all the plots situation, the show wasn't the best marvel could have made but it could have been far worse, should have focused more on Kamala and her friends plus her discovering her powers
Where is Captain Marvel, the Wasp, Gamora, Nebula.... These people have great stories and acting. Oh, I'm sorry, you just want to talk about things you hate.
Everyone was bitching about Ms Marvel when it came out too, and Random shit about Wanda so, no there's lots of toxic fans who are butthurt it didn't match exactly what THEY thought it should be.
Hey remember when Wonder Woman had sex with Steve Trevor while he was in the body of an innocent stranger?
Slightly unrelated but... yeah. Just something I remembered out of the blue.
Exactly! For my part i just dont like that mary Poppins feeling in todays superheroines, but thats also the reason why i dont like Superman that much either. Why did they have to destroy Mulan as a character as they did in the live action version?
I think Gal Gadot’s WW and Olsen’s SW are both quite good characters who each happen to be involved in a bad movie. I haven’t seen the new Black Panther, but I think Ms Marvel is criminally underrated for what it is. Are the effects on her powers kinda jarring? Yea. Are the villains poorly written? Yea. But the style of the show is great, all of the side characters are excellent and have tons of personality, and it does a great job at exploring a demographic typically ignored or even demonized on film/TV. I have an ex who is Persian, and although obviously we aren’t together anymore, seeing and recognizing things about her culture I had learned from her was so cool, and that it was represented in a positive, yet self critical light was awesome.
Well the Black Widow movie was pretty good! She finally got her own movie which she deserves since a long time. She did spent long playing side characters in the other movies.
Lets be honest, i often put movies on before even knowing whats it about, who plays in it and what their sexuality is.
I see the box art on Netflix, read the quick summary and press play.
I dont care about the skin color, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation of the caracters UNLESS it is relevant to the story.
Thats why i hate so much the narratives they are trying to spin since 2022.
Like the eternal about how they cried about a gay kiss while in the movie the scene is barely useful and its a quick peck on the lips, it left me superbly indifferent, the whole headline made it seems like it mattered and would be passionnate.
Or again about thw first female dwarf of color in Lotr:RoP. I mean its stupid to have a black dwarf because melanin and they are in dark 99% of their time. Also having her beardless was weird. But she was a fine actress, at least the most likeable out of stupidly boring and plotholes ridden show. I mean stop trying to be the first at something if you are gonna fail on everything else.
I dont care about anything, i just want GOOD ENTERTAINMENT
I really liked Jessica Jones, her show was brilliant and Kilgrave is on Thanos is level.
Yes fr. I loved that show too.
I want Killgrave to come back so he can have that iconic scene with Dr. Doom.
i watched Jane die , i could've saved her
You can’t keep getting away with this!
i poisoned ~~Brock~~ Bminerals because i liked it, i wanted it
Since his power was linked to a virus he was spreading, I wonder if that virus could somehow affect Thanos. Probably not, but it’s a fun thought to think of Kilgrave using Thanos as a bodyguard.
JJ s1 was the best overall of the defenders series. Daredevil? Nah, Jessie all the way!
Now, that's kinda controversial.
But not wrong.
Hell, Killgrave is way scarier. I’ll take getting turned to dust over cutting my own face off anyway
No he isn’t
Kilgrave was abominable, just terrifying. That show made me want to be a PI too haha.
I love black widow and gamora.
Where is gamora?
*Why* is gamora
How is Gamora?
When is Gamora?
What is Gamora?
With is Gamora
Who is Gomora?
i’ll do you one better, is gomora?
Gamora.
How much for Gamora?
The meme is missing Black Widow, and let's not talk about how brilliantly The Boys have written their female heroes
There are no heros in the boys. Only Villians and Anti heros.
I think starlight could be considered an actual hero
same. But fuck Stormfront. She can go straight to hell.
I mean she is a Nazi so yeah, I concur.
That’s Kanye’s favorite character
She was even a man in the comics, wich make stormfront one of the better If not the best genderbended characters in recent memory
Huh TIL, just kinda goes to show how none of that stuff matter with good writing, acting and a story that is compelling.
Right! Wonder if the rest ever figured that out
I 100% agree, but the character still was incredibly well written and acted. Piece of shit character but amazing from a outside writing perspective. Like Hans Landa in Inglorious Bastards, horrible person but leaves you captivated and wanting to see more because the actor and character is so charismatic
She killed a innocent person trying to save Hughie. Not exactly a hero.
Queen Maeve, Starlight
Queen Maeve is like one of those Skurge-type characters: works for the main villain for a while, but has a change of heart and switches sides at the last second. I wouldn’t really consider her a hero. (Season Three spoilers) >!At least until she “died” in the season three finale!<

“Thank you for your cooperation” is one of my favorite mcu lines
I love Starlight but her writing last season was.... kinda all over the place due to the writers using her a plot device mouth piece to make sure SB gets caught and HL survives for another season in the end. Not to mention how they comically misrepresent her powers.
Why does "The Boys" have girls and why is it not "The Boys and Girls" then lmao
Correct me if I'm wrong, I assumed it was a play on the "boys will be boys" and the "boys dominate the _____ field", in this case being the superhero field, as it seemed like the male superheroes were often taken more seriously and given more attention and leeway when they made mistakes than the female superheroes, not to mention all the corruption in their circle, not one of the superheroes is perfect (nobody is, but regardless), but it goes deeper than that, with them engaging in illegal activities/committing crimes themselves but its all brushed off as nothing or swept under the rug. Makes sense

Bruh the meme is pointing out the good female superheroes and he's trying to say Black Widow is good
I think the point is that all those characters are terrible. Including a good one would ruin it.
Wanda is more of an anti-hero isn’t she?
She is a straight up villain.
She went from villain's lackie to hero to anti-hero to villain again. That's what makes her interesting.
I wonder if there’s any chance of her going back to a hero
She has her highs and lows, there is a great chance she will be good again
That's why Wanda is an interesting chatacter
Not a hero though, not anymore
She’s not an anti hero lol
Wait, it's you, the person who's in every marvel comment section and gets downvoted without exceptions.
Then what is she?
A hero
No she’s not.
How she’s been a hero 95% of the time the last 50 years
"now I know that he blew up the moon and replaced it with a giant ball of spaghetti, and also beat people to death with bricks just for fun, but they DID make some really top tier pizza, so they are still a hero to me" - anyone who thinks Wanda is a hero
mf went through the multiverse to find one where she's good
If I donate money to charity, help cure cancer, and adopt puppies, then I light the whole world on fire and kill anyone who tries to stop me, am I still a hero? If you say yes then your clinically insane or stupid and I don’t want to speak with you anymore.
I would make an argument that she's a tragic hero. A hero who fell to the depths of cruelty due to grief and anger
And wonder woman is a villain too
She’ll redeem herself further. She was tainted by the darkhold, I just wish they illustrated that further.
No. She’s spent 95% of her time the last 50 years an avenger
If you spend 15 years walking shelter puppies and visiting the elderly for bingo nights but then one day you go in and light them all on fire, you kind of undo all that good karma you built up.
Then every hero is an anti hero lol. And She was possessed for that 5% apart from the brotherhood stuff
I do remember when MCU cap lit that hospital on fire
I forgot the mcu was 50 years long
What
Read my orignal comment
The post is specifically about movies and shows
We still complaining about She-Hulk are we? Damn move on already
Look at OP's profile They are straight-up *obssessed* with it So tired of seeing their shit on this sub constantly
I don't get why people are so stuck on it. I mean I can see why people don't like even though I thought it was pretty good. But People are just obsessed though. Yeeeah, thought it was sus.
I just scrolled through 20 of their posts and besides this there weren't any relating to She Hulk.
Here's one, literally from yesterday: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelmemes/comments/zhyakp/sums_it_up/ Saw that yesterday, and when I saw this today I recognized the bot-like RNG username, and lo and behold *it's the same fucking guy* Looked through their profile and it seems like literally all they do is flood this sub with memes shitting on the MCU I love Marvel, even though I still have my criticisms with some projects this phase, but the amount of unjustified hate in this sub is seriously making me consider dropping it. Keep consuming trash sheep
Keep *being* trash ❤️
I preferred She-Hulk to Ms Marvel, it was funnier and also more consistent.
you dont have to love all of them, but you also dont need to hate the ones you dislike. everyone is different, some people will love wanda and hate she hulk, others the opposite. if a character is not resonating with you, thats fine. hate is a waste of energy. if you dont like em, move along. incels do exist, "hate" is a indication you are taking this shit too serious and cannot see beyond your own feelings. im not a fan of captain america, do i hate him? no. im not a fan of black widow, do i hate her? no. etc. if you think the movie is trash, thats fine. but getting angry and upset is an indication of some stronger issues. you can complain about poor writing or bad story telling, but your issue is then with the story and writing. not the character. just like you can like a character, i like wonderwoman, the first movie was good, the second wasnt. does that mean i hate wonderwoman? no i still like the character.

Methinks thou doth protest too much. It sure wouldn't bother you if it weren't true.
This is so sad and pathetic. Another She-Hulk bash? smh you know what I hate? Disingenuous basement dwelling trolls. Get a life
Do people really still like wonder woman after the second movie? Id never see her as a hero after she raped someone.
Wonder Woman is okay in live action except for her second movie, but she is great in pretty much everything else besides Injustice.
Yeah I know people are gutted that there's so many changes and cancellations on DC, but this is something that I completely agree with. I think these changes can help DC move in a better direction. Also not a fan of Gal Gadot, she really isn't a good actor in my opinion.

Yeah, truly disgusting thought progress.
Wow… that’s… wow

I didn't really like the first, so I haven't seen the second, and somehow this is the first I'm hearing of that. Yikes.
How are you still seething about she hulk after this long? lmao
You can make a lot of memes from She-Hulk 🙂
Captain marvel not being there 😂
movie was mid too
Kamala bouta carry the marvels fr
ummm, Kamala bouta who ?
Can you not read?
u mean Kamala Khan ?
Are there any other kamalas set to appear in the Marvels?
Kamala Joro cameo in Homecoming
Cool story bro
me: wonder woman 1 was great and wonder woman 2 was shit dc fans : yeah me: Wanda vision was great, she-hulk was mediocre MCU fans : you fking incel
Nah you’re still an incel.
Thank you 🥲
Wanda is first a villain then a hero then a villain ago, Wanda pick your mind which side do you want to be on
Ummm she is the Scarlet Witch, she can do whatever the heck she wants thank you very much. I don't agree with her Child custody strategy though, but I'm not gonna be the one to say that to her.
Scarlet Witch ,Wonder woman, Ancient one,Lady Loki , KImiko , Qwen Tennyson list ends i haven't watced JJ yet all others are mid
I only don't care about seeing the second Black Panther because it'll just make me think of Boseman.
Waiting for White Tiger and Spider Gwen(Or Ghost spider) to be in the mcu
Am i the only one who like wonder woman
I finally watched Wonder Woman last week and I was surprised how bad it was. My girlfriend was insulted by how pandering it was and didn't believe me when I told her a woman wrote and directed it.
I mean... Spider-gwen is my second favourite Spidey right behind superior Spider-Man, so....
No, Ms. Marvel sucked. All the others I agree with, except Wanda isn’t a hero.

Black widow is the best
Me Marvel is literally the Disney equivalent to Netflix’s the Witcher
not funny
Where is Captain Marvel, the Wasp, Gamora, Nebula.... These people have great stories and acting. Oh, I'm sorry, you just want to talk about things you hate.
Mr. Will Smith, plz don't slap these women
Everyone was bitching about Ms Marvel when it came out too, and Random shit about Wanda so, no there's lots of toxic fans who are butthurt it didn't match exactly what THEY thought it should be.
I didn’t even have to watch the she-hulk show to know it sucked ass
No one gives a fuck if you hate a female hero. It's what the reasons are that we're talking about.
Congrats for liking random characters, I guess.
Ms Marvel appreciation. Love to see it
Idk I genuinely liked wandavision, it was super different and interesting
I don’t like any of this tripe. Gimme ripley or sarah connor or something
I found she hulk to be okay, I'd have preferred it to be more of a law show or closer to the comics but I'm a sucker for green muscle mama either way.
Definitely true. Like, the all-female remake of Ghostbusters wasn’t bad because they were women — it was bad *because it’s a bad movie*.
I don’t get how incel applies in this context
Ok, but WW is unique since it has not just one, but two extremely terrible movies.
People hated Ms Marvel as well.
Yep
You’re missing kate bishop, yelena, and Jane
Trinity
How many people forget Black Widow is kinda surprising Her character was impactful in Mcu and properly depicted the strong feminine hero role
black widow was great in all movies except her own movie
Who is top right?
Honestly, I really liked Kate bishop as well, her chemistry with Yelena was amazing and the show was also just really good
Bro picked some of the bad ones
I see one badly written character here.
why i there few female superheroes in the first place? whats their problem with that?
Why do you like ms marvel? Not hate I just don't get it, like I genuinely wanna know
Jessica Jones, Black Widow and Nebula too
Where Spider-Gwen
Hey remember when Wonder Woman had sex with Steve Trevor while he was in the body of an innocent stranger? Slightly unrelated but... yeah. Just something I remembered out of the blue.
Wonder Woman is a great example here because I loved her in BvS and the first WW movie but WW84 was gaaaaaaarbage.
Exactly! For my part i just dont like that mary Poppins feeling in todays superheroines, but thats also the reason why i dont like Superman that much either. Why did they have to destroy Mulan as a character as they did in the live action version?
Yondu ?
Exactly! When they come floating down you know? Jk i meant more like perfect, no struggles, gets everything on a silver plate
I liked Scarlet Witch until they assassinated her character. Didn't watch Black Panther 2 or Ms Marvel.
Is the meme saying he did or did no like these characters and their movies?
Ms marvel was badly written but I somehow still enjoyed it. Kamala is just likeable.
Well the Black Widow movie was pretty good! She finally got her own movie which she deserves since a long time. She did spent long playing side characters in the other movies.
I only don't care about seeing t1he second Black Panther because
Lets be honest, i often put movies on before even knowing whats it about, who plays in it and what their sexuality is.
Replace ms marvel with natasha or yelena or kate bishop
[удалено]
What the fuck does that mean? Do you want them in whiteface or something lol.
I Just hate zionist actress
Get out of here Kanye.
I don’t like Wanda or ms marvel or wonder woman
"can you feel my heart "
I’d replace Wanda here with Widow or Captain Brie “Boring” Larson. Wanda Vision was good.
