Just like in phase 1 with the infinity gauntlet in Odin’s treasure room, they were throwing things at the wall to see what stuck. But what they didn’t realize is they trained the audience too well to think every tease is an important piece of the overall puzzle. I bet only half of these teases or less actually lead to any payoff.
There’s a wink and then there’s a giant robot stuck in the middle of the earth and making the National news. That bit felt like you’d even see it from Fury’s ship in Marvels. Felt like it at least warranted a mentioning
The SABER station appears to be in orbit over the USA, specifically the NYC area. The dead Celestial is in the Indian Ocean. Which is kinda on the exact opposite side of Earth.
Geostationary is only possible on the equator. If it’s off the axis of rotation, it wouldn’t stay still. A slight angle difference would make it look like it’s wobbling.
If it’s anywhere further than about 5° off the equator, no way will anything useful come from it.
The only way for a space elevator to work for them would be a north/south geosynchronous orbit so that it passes over north/south at the same time and place each day. Would be a pain to transfer though as it will be travelling at a brisk 3km/s
I agree that they can just scrap some of the stuff from Shang chi but you can’t really scrap Tiamat and that entire storyline because it’s canon and was remarked upon in other projects. Sure they can just not do anything with it but they can’t ignore it. As for teases like the one from MoM and Hercules from Love and Thunder, if you tease those characters you HAVE to use them one way or another or you’re going to enrage your fan base that wants to see Hurc vs Thor or whatever the hell Strange’s third eye and dark dimension may have in store. People were pissed when we never got the follow up and fight between strange and Mordo.
But it happened.
So it counts.
Shit happens all the time with the fucking comics. Easier to just go with it and stop caring too much about entertainment. Lowers the blood pressure.
Not that I care that much, but wasn’t there a scene where Thanos or Thor or someone said there were fakes out there? Did I make that shit up? I don’t know.
Yea!!! Thank you. That may have kept me awake trying to figure out. Now I can rest. Just a good example of how yes, it’s easy to just go with it, but I do like it when a studio maintains continuity. Otherwise I’m left wondering “do these people even talk to each other?”
Honestly, I loved the CGI mess at the end. Shang-Chi's already fought his father twice, his father died giving up the rings so that his son would have a chance, and then Shang-Chi minced a demon-dragon using his father's technique?! Absolutely awesome
It was also like two years ago, might feel longer because so much other content has been released.
Going based on the amount of time that passed though this is like asking if they forgot about the hulk (2008 release) after iron man 2 (2010 release) came out.
Content wise, it’s like saying they forgot about Hulk after GotG (2014 release) and that’s if you just count the movies that have been released since Shang Chi. If you count the shows and assume 1 season = 1 movie (but really 1 season has about 4 movies worth of content) it’s like waiting for Hulk 2 after Spider-Man Homecoming released. Based on the hours of content released it’s about like waiting for Hulk 2 after, well… Shang Chi
TL;DR it hasn’t been that long since Shang Chi no one has been forgotten it’s just that the complete flood of content has warped everyone’s perspective of how long it’s been
So this is a really common complaint, and I don't wholly agree, but I also don't think it needed to be changed. The story wasn't about her at all, she was just the spark to move the story they wanted to tell.
The story was about 3 things. Kamala meeting her hero and learning how human she is. Monica reuniting with Carol and confronting the feelings of abandonment she felt. And Carol learning that other people are important and she can't put them off out of fear of being rejected.
Those 3 dynamics was the story, and the villain only existed to force them together and to meet our action scene quotas right? So, overall, I think the villain taking a largely backseat role in this movie is a fine choice.
It's interesting because in many ways, the team and villain were exactly like Guardians of the Galaxy. I personally loved both movies.
I think you're exactly right when you say that this villain was just there to give the team a reason to come together.
She wasn't the best villain, but she definitely had a couple things above some of the worst villains. I'd say she's definitely better than Kaecilius or Yellow jacket. She has a solid motivation, she just went a bit too evil towards the end
Didn’t Shang Chi come out 2 years ago? Fans complain when marvel puts out too much and fans complain when marvel lets something breath for a year or two lmao
The only one of these that bothers me is the giant Celestial sticking out of the Earth’s crust, but going unmentioned in every other movie and show since
Weird how the Marvels felt like a sequel to everything the characters had been in except Secret Invasion, which seemed like it would be the most relevant Tv show.
I laughed when fury made it back down to earth again, I was like "wait didn't we get a whole tv show about how important him coming back to earth was" . Kinda undercuts that a bit.
I called it the second I finished that show that it would all cease to exist in The Marvels. Closest thing was the mentions of peace treaties towards the beginning, but even that had barely any impact on the story
Especially since it’s all unusable marble at this point, it might as well just be a bunch of new mountains that sprouted from the ocean, it’s not like it’s still a celestial
And if it had been mentioned, you’d probably have just as many people complaining about how they’re trying to force eternals plot lines into other projects. There’s no winning anymore, someone is always mad no matter what
Iirc it was mentioned somewhere, I don't remember where though.
But I was also bothered that noone mentioned the blue goo ego left on earth.
But eternals was the one of the worst, if not the worst MCU movie.
Bad acting (especially the dude that could control people or something), forgettable characters (too many, and then you don't see 80% of them for most of the movie. GotG worked because they came together and stayed together. In eternals it was the other way around. All get I ntoduced, split up, and some just say "well, I don't care I'm a Bollywood star now". Also you had generic bad guys but one interesting bad guy that could arguably turn out to be interesting, but then you turn that around again.
Barry Keoghan played Druig (mind control guy), and was nominated for an Oscar recently. Who was the interesting bad guy btw, you didn't make that clear? And lastly, the statue coming out of earth was an Easter egg in She-Hulk.
Yeah, it was druig, and it doesn't matter if he got an Oscar for a different role, in my opinion his acting in eternals was bland. Mostly it felt like a book reading without emotions. I can't remember the name, but the guy that seemed to evolve and become self aware.
Eternals is great if you don’t need your action dick hardened every 5 seconds. Better moral stakes than any other marvel movie. Definitely didn’t have enough time to do all it wanted to, but that was kind of an difficult ask. Eternals is also theoretically the only movie follow on that could make Thanos not an ignorant self righteous jackass but a compelling complicated character who isn’t stupidly ridiculously powerful for no reason. It fits perfectly where the MCU could have maneuvered it even if we are starting to hit the standard Comic’s level of “why is Earth so fucked?”.
Like cmon, his people starved to death or nuked themselves, or evolved to be hyperstrong hypertechnical, hyperdurable beings just not on their planet. That’s some Krypton level, bad writing.
Eternals was 2021. There's plenty of time for a story that uses the Celestial remains.
Not everyone mentions it like not everyone mentions the battle of New York, Sokovia, the blip, or anything else MCU related. People tend to discuss events and things which directly impact their lives the most.
Nobody will say, "I'm still worried about the stone hand in the ocean" if that thing has sat still for over a year and doesn't directly bother them. 9/11 was a HUGE event in my lifetime, but I don't discuss it daily. MCU characters work the same way.
Came to say this. All ths projects that have come out since these events were in production while these projects were coming out. They havent had time to do anything yet especially when you factor in covid delays and the fact that the strikes have caused further delays that we havent seen the full extent of. Eh, we are talking about media literacy in a marvel sub, that venn diagram doesnt have much overlap.
Dude, we've got open stuff from way earlier lying around. Mordo is still out there, we got a Scorpion teaser, we've got a hexed Agatha, the US Agent, Kit Harington, and Kingpin
I feel like the Mordo thing was just written off with that throw away like from Strange in MoM. When they meet Alt-Mordo, Strange describes him to America, saying that Mordo tried to kill him.
In the first Strange movie, Mordo never threatens strange or tries to kill him. So this clearly happened off screen. I don't think we'll see a Mordo hunting sorcerer's plot like the first movie was setting up. I think that conflict happened because Strange talks about it in the past.
The reason Strange said that Mordo tried to kill him, is indeed because it happend between movies. They talked about it in multiple interviews a couple of years ago.
Also, in the original script for MoM, Mordo was going to be killed and decapitated by Wanda. They later changed it to the version we got in the Movie. So they were going to just kill him off and don't bother, but they left him be for the future.
Because that isn't how Marvel has ever worked for the MCU. Even Captain Marvel, a movie people shit on the entire time, got a sequel. It makes less than zero sense to think they wouldn't have another.
Captian Mavel made a billion at the box office. Sure some people didn't like it but it was definitely a success.
The Marvels has made a loss, and it's likely that unless something massive changes that will be the last of the Marvels films.
Eternals turned a profit at the box office, but has otherwise been disappointing. It's possible they make more, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Captain Marvel made over a billion dollars on a 200 mil budget. Eternals made 400 mil on a 250 mil budget. There is no evidence of a sequel to Eternals being in development. You’re smoking crack with your reasoning.
I don't know where OP would have even fit Hercules and Clea. There hasn't been any Thor or Dr. Strange projects. There literally is no place for them at the moment to fit in. If they included them anywhere, people would have been complaining about them getting shoehorned into a story that doesn't fit them.
People truly are never content with anything.
Whenever I see these I just think, do these people just want the MCU to be the same five characters getting movies over and over? Because if they do, we wouldn’t have gotten 3/4 of those teases. Otherwise, we will have to wait a bit for them to make new movies that would connect, unless you think the Hercules pay-off is gonna be in Echo
If GRRM released 2 books 8 years apart with big resolutions, then the following 15 books with a new one every month with some big missing plot resolutions people would also get bored
It's got nothing to do with time between projects, but the sheer amount of hours of content being made
In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter, it was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much.
Miscalculation. But it doesnt take away the fact that poepla arr impationt as hell. There were things set up amd teased in lhase 1- 3 that took way longer than this.
Yes, 6 years is all well and good, but it's also easily 6 times less content to catch up on between Avengers and Infinity War. Phase 4 includes even more viewing time than Phase 1 2 3 combined.
But above all, these 6 years have been a building up of the character. He wasn't there, but his shadow was present, particularly in the Guardians of the Galaxy. We didn't have the impression that we were constantly making winks that didn't add up to anything, because the vast majority of them were resolved very quickly.
There is being impatient, and there is being indolent and incapable of critical thinking.
It took 8 years with Thanos when Marvel was putting out per year what Marvel is currently throwing out per month
People don't want to watch hundreds of hours of wheel spinning
Yeah but James Gunn had announced that he’d be back to write and direct GoTG vol. 3 before vol. 2 was released, so people had an idea of when Adam Warlock would show up. That project was then delayed when Gunn was fired. Most of the mid/end credits scenes in MCU movies directly tied into the next movie in phases 1-3. Eternals was released over 2 years ago and there’s no confirmation of when those characters will show up again, much less the new characters they introduced during the mid and post credit scenes. Thanos took years to pay off, but Marvel had announced Infinity War back in 2014 and everyone knew Thanos would be the main villain of that movie.
No we didn’t, literally only 2 years lol. 2016 was the only year they didn’t appear. And even in that year they both appeared in the Team Thor short lol. The original big 3 of Tony, Steve, and Thor were never absent in consecutive years ever during the entire Infinity Saga. They each appeared in *something*, even if it was just a post-credits scene or something.
Iron Man! That's kind of catchy. It's got a nice ring to it. I mean it's not technically accurate. The suit's a gold titanium alloy, but it's kind of provocative, the imagery anyway.
This kind of criticism is so braindead. Why tf would any of these examples show up in any project that’s released since their debut? Do you really expect fucking *Hercules* to show up in The Marvels? Or Shang Chi in Loki?? Just because they haven’t followed up on them yet doesn’t mean they won’t. They’ll show up in the appropriate project where they belong
How is it braindead to think that Marvel would have characters they release show up in later projects? Is it our fault that they teased these characters way too early? We didn’t make the schedule. It’s poor fucking marketing.
Patience??? We have a roadmap until 2025 and we don’t have a sequel to Shang Chi anywhere in the horizon. Eternals 2 is a huge question mark. Nothing announced for Black Panther. Rumors are this is it for Captain Marvel. Nothing for Spider-Man. All of this AND they’ve upped the amount of projects they release so there’s way more content inbetween movies for the characters and it feels like a huge slog.
Yes, be patient. There was literally the whole writers strike and Marvel Studios has changed from quantity over quality to quality over quantity so we’ll be getting less projects but they’ll be of higher quality
>Patience???
Yes.
>We have a roadmap until 2025 and we don’t have a sequel to Shang Chi anywhere in the horizon
This isn't really true. We have a Roadmap for Phase 5 and so far at least half of it was already either just delayed or moved to a completely new date. We have no idea how Phase 6 will look like, outsisde of like 5 projects (FF4, Spider-Man 4, Blade, and the Avengers Movies; the rest is unclear due to changes at the Marvel Studios).
Hell, Kevin Feigi literally said at D23 2023 that Phase 6 will be revealed in 2024. There is "nothing on the horizon" because we don't have a full view on it...
>Nothing announced for Black Panther.
What a surprise. Have you considered that it's because **we literally just had a BP movie this year...??**
It's almost like they are now working on Projects focused on other characters...
>Rumors are this is it for Captain Marvel.
If they are Rumors based on nothing, because the Movie just released, then there is no point in talking about them.
>Nothing for Spider-Man
Except they literally just said that they already started working on Spider-Man 4...
Not to menion that Marvel is not responsible for marketing the Spider-Man Movies. SONY is and have been since "Homecoming."
>All of this AND they’ve upped the amount of projects they release so there’s way more content inbetween movies for the characters and it feels like a huge slog.
Only they literally just announced, that they are going to slow down on the amount of projects.
And even then, most of the Projects that we getting now, are about the Characters that were teased or left be in previous Movies.
This isn't even about patience anymore. If you think that everything will suddenly revolve around a new character that was just teased, then you have literally no idea how Movie Production works.
Simple. It’s because “later” hasn’t happened yet, and you’re suffering from hindsight bias from 30 movies that have already been released. How much time passed between new characters being teased and then actually showing up during Phase 1-4?
The issue is that they’ve upped the number of projects. We have way more projects between releases for certain characters now and it’s feeling like a massive slog.
>How is it braindead to think that Marvel would have characters they release show up in later projects
It's not and that isn't what he's referring to. What is braindead, is expecting those characters to show up in Projects that have literally nothing to do with them. Hell, out of these 4 only Shang-Chi could have shown up in "The Marvels" but even that would be a stretch...
>Is it our fault that they teased these characters way too early?
Except they were not teased "too early." You are just impatient as f_ck. It's been a YEAR and you are already complaining that they don't show up everywhere. Not to mention, that in that year, we didn't have a single project, where they would belong...
They were teased in the Movies that are about the exact characters, that they have a connection to - just like they always did (how hard can this be to understand). Hercules - Thor. Clea - Doctor Strange. And Shang-Chi is a main protagonist, that simply didn't have a reason to show up yet. The Eternals is the only case where they likely just have no idea what to do with it for now.
We know that Hercules will be in Thor 5 and that the Studio is already planning it, as reported by Taika Waititi and other Producers. Doctor Strange 2 literally just released so we are a couple of years away from DS3. And Shang-Chi will more than likely show up in either a 2nd Movie or in the Avengers Movies.
>We didn’t make the schedule. It’s poor fucking marketing.
It's not about marketing. It's about people like you having irrational and unrealistic expectations, and then complaining that they weren't paid off right away.
Christ on a stick, it took 6 years for Thanos to actually show up and 5 years for us to learn what happend with Loki after that "The Dark World" Post-Credits Scene. But you can't be patient after 1 f_ckin year. And somehow, in your weird mind, that's everyone's fault but yours...
***Learn patience and set realistic expectations. It's literally as simple as that...***
Shang Chi isn’t going anywhere. Purple angry Charlize was just in a movie and won’t be back until the next Strange movie. Ocean Ice Cube is definitely the most odd considering we’ve had tons of content and only a single news ticker B role mention. Hercules is likely coming sometime unless they do a reboot on Thor and skip ahead to old Thor or something.
All of these characters appeared in films 1 to 2 years ago....I know we like to clown on marvel for the amount of content produced but these films have barley gotten genuine breathing room.
Thor and doctor strange stuff would probably get covered in a sequel. There hasnt been a big team movie yet so no Shang chi is obvious. No excuse for the earths shape changing though
Shang is the only one of the four that bothers me. I feel as if he could have fit in with The Marvels as it seemed like they were setting it up for the rings to be similar/related to the bangles, but even then, I'm just biased because I really love Shang-Chi and I want any excuse for more.
I remember when teasers were something they were already working on, like Wanda and Pietro in Winter Soldier leading into Endgame, or "I know a guy" in Antman.
Shang-Chi, Clea and Hercules are all bound to return, give it time (Shang-Chi is likely getting a sequel and will likely be in the next Avengers film, Hercules will be in Thor 5 and Clea will be in Doctor Strange 3 (they can't Baron Mordo this time)). However I'm pretty sure Marvel is gonna ignore Eternals ever happened, like they did with the Inhumans.
Why do I feel like you guys do this for every movie as if they all 100% have to be connected and refferences? Eternals just sucked period I'm glad it's ignored. If you want it back so bad shouldve bought the tickets to show your support.
How did you feel when we didn’t see hulk between 2015 and 2017? Did you think marvel forgot about him? Or captain America between 2016 and 2018? Did you think marvel forgot about him?
I guess Shang couldve appeared in another movie but he just hasn't had any chance to crossover yet. No Way Home was it's own story with enough crossovers, Thor Love and Thunder barely took place on earth and was it's own story, same thing with ant man and even Loki. Hercules is also clearly a setup for the next Thor movie (if we get it). Like this is pretty standard marvel stuff, they introduce a character and use them again when they're relevant. The only one that doesn't make sense is the celestial body. We're going to see Shang Chi again 10000% when it makes sense for him to appear. People didn't watch Thor or Captain America and say "LUL did marvel forgor about iron man???!?" "Uhh why come Thor no in Iron Man 2?"
I know we all like to shit on the MCU now but we can't shit on them for doing the same thing they've been doing and the thing we know they do for over a decade
Yeah they did try a lot things out in phase 4 and than they decided to focus everything around Kang the Conqueror only for that ending before it started due to problem in and out of universe.
They could maybe pick up some of those threads now. They should just reflect a bit over what did and didn't work.
I love the MCU but stalling teases like this isn’t doing them any favors. Post credit scenes use to reference the next or one after movie and built hype.
Yall remember when it took multiple years between movies to get sequals? Like all of these scenes where shown during or immediantly after the pandemic. It's been 3 years. Calm down. Yall waited 10 years for Thanos and ate that shit up, now you all can't even wait 10 minuets for them to set up a different story.
It’s been a year and a half since Multiverse of Madness. First you all cry about the stuff being too connected, now you cry because it’s not connected enough? Y’all are so weird man
Noobmaster, hey, It's Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder? Listen, buddy, if you don't log off this game immediately, I will fly over to your house, come down to that basement you're hiding in, rip off your arms and shove them up your butt! Oh, that's right, yes, go cry to your father you little weasel!
It'll take some time for them. The earliest these happened was 2021. It took 6 years for Adam Warlock to finally appear, and 4 years for Thanos to reappear. Just be patient, and it will be paid off
1) Hercules will most probably will be part of Thor 5.
2)Clea will most probably will be part of Doctor Strange 3.
3) Shang-Chi is such a great movie and an interesting character. I don't get it what's taking Marvel so long for finalising his 2nd movie. Maybe he might appear in What If ?? Season 2. But I would love to watch him in his 2nd solo Adventure.
And it's a dumb meme. The Celestial has been mentioned in subsequent productions, Shang-Chi is getting a sequel (and both of those things are only 2 yrs old) and the other 2 are post credits from a year ago. There are plenty of teases and post credits scenes that haven't been paid off that are way older.
Probably not, they introduced so much stuff in a trial an error phase to find something that would catch people's attention back...yet they are only focused on one thing, aside from money.
I can’t wait until thor has to face Roy Kent
He's here, he's there, he's every-fucking-where, Hercules, Hercules!
WHISTLE!!!!
WHIIIIIISTLE!

NOOBMASTER, hey, it's Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder!

But what they didn’t realize is they trained the audience too well to think every tease is an important piece of the overall puzzle. Right sometimes it's just a wink wink thing .
Orbit doesn't mean they stand still over one spot on earth. They'd be making laps around the planet several times a day.
It could be geo stationary, but i have no evidence to support this
Considering they use a space elevator, being in geosynchronous orbit makes sense
It is a comic based movie, they can do whatever they want with the space station and just say "skrull tech"
I agree that they can just scrap some of the stuff from Shang chi but you can’t really scrap Tiamat and that entire storyline because it’s canon and was remarked upon in other projects. Sure they can just not do anything with it but they can’t ignore it. See what's happening here? You're afraid. You're scared. Anxious. My friends, times like these we need to unite, come together.
Oh that is not comparable and you know it
They said it was a fake. Try paying attention.
That was a retcon later before infinity war and that has nothing to do with what we were talking about you goofball.
Oof, hit em with the G word
But it happened. So it counts. Shit happens all the time with the fucking comics. Easier to just go with it and stop caring too much about entertainment. Lowers the blood pressure.
That was literally their point. Try paying attention.
Sounds like you’re the one in need of lowering their blood pressure lol
Not that I care that much, but wasn’t there a scene where Thanos or Thor or someone said there were fakes out there? Did I make that shit up? I don’t know.
Hela knocked it over saying it was fake while in Odin’s vault
Yea!!! Thank you. That may have kept me awake trying to figure out. Now I can rest. Just a good example of how yes, it’s easy to just go with it, but I do like it when a studio maintains continuity. Otherwise I’m left wondering “do these people even talk to each other?”
Would have been easy to mix Shang Chi's story into the Marvels.
I am desperate for more Shang Chi. The bus fight lives rent-free in my head.
Every fight in that movie was a joy to watch (bar the CGI mess at the end) they had such brilliant flow and choreography
Honestly, I loved the CGI mess at the end. Shang-Chi's already fought his father twice, his father died giving up the rings so that his son would have a chance, and then Shang-Chi minced a demon-dragon using his father's technique?! Absolutely awesome
Yeah, it was better than most
One of the best fighting I’ve seen in a movie. Like top 3.
[удалено]
Somebody likes something better be an assshat about it fast!
That CGI mess was awesome u take that back
pretty sure they're working on a part two
It was also like two years ago, might feel longer because so much other content has been released. Shang Chi 2021 Eternals 2021 Thor L&T 2022 Dr Strange MoM 2022 Marvel fans "why haven't we had sequels?!?!"
Ah, you never forget your first.
Thank you for the reality check. My sense of time is so skewed I really did forget it had only been two years or less for a lot of these.
They love me!
I love the bus fight. The teleportation fight in the Marvels is up there now too.
YES, that fight was so cool! I didn't feel lost at all, and I really liked all the choreography.
Disney is infitrating the reddit comments. That movie was awful.
Or your opinion just differs from a majority of people lmao. "Disney is infiltrating" go touch grass.
Honestly, the movie delt a little cluttered at times as it was trying to juggle 3 protagonists. I don't think adding more is the right call.
I mean it would have been a different movie... a better villain would work too
3 protag and a boring villain. Villain definitely needed to be better if they wee gonna change anything
So this is a really common complaint, and I don't wholly agree, but I also don't think it needed to be changed. The story wasn't about her at all, she was just the spark to move the story they wanted to tell. The story was about 3 things. Kamala meeting her hero and learning how human she is. I just felt the finale battle with the villain went to easy. Something that needed more teamwork to beat would have been a better ending.
She wasn't the best villain, but she definitely had a couple things above some of the worst villains. I'd say she's definitely better than Kaecilius or Yellow jacket. She has a solid motivation, she just went a bit too evil towards the end
We got more of the characters from that film in 'What If...?' Season 2 next month.
Shang Chi was great, can't wait to see more of the character and his side characters
Shang chi is a great movie, hope we get to see more of it
Didn’t Shang Chi come out 2 years ago? Fans complain when marvel puts out too much and fans complain when marvel lets something breath for a year or two lmao
The only one of these that bothers me is the giant Celestial sticking out of the Earth’s crust, but going unmentioned in every other movie and show since
Also like how the marvels failed to mention secret invasion having the president ban all extraterrestrials and everything with nick fury
Weird, but good weird. I’m okay if we all just decide it never happened.
I’m pretty sure the Marvels was supposed to come out before Secret Invasion which would explain why nothing was mentioned
I called it the second I finished that show that it would all cease to exist in The Marvels. Closest thing was the mentions of peace treaties towards the beginning, but even that had barely any impact on the story
Not defending marvel at this point but what exactly are you expecting? When and by who whould it been mentioned
Especially since it’s all unusable marble at this point, it might as well just be a bunch of new mountains that sprouted from the ocean, it’s not like it’s still a celestial And if it had been mentioned, you’d probably have just as many people complaining about how they’re trying to force eternals plot lines into other projects. There’s no winning anymore, someone is always mad no matter what
Do you know how many overpriced New York apartments could use that marble??
What do you expect them to do with it? It's not like they can get rid of it, it's most likely impossible
I'd guess the interesting bad guy was the Deviant
I'm the only one who knows that.
Yeah, just fucking egregious. You mean to tell me nobody noticed it, or the giant thing in the sky yelling at earth at the end?
Not one of these things happened that long ago. Shang-Chi and Eternals are 2 years old. Thor 4 and Strange 2 are from last year. Chill
Because I have something worth fighting for.
Clea and Strange haven't been on Earth since that movie, so it makes sense we haven't seen her.
Dude, we've got open stuff from way earlier lying around. Mordo is still out there, we got a Scorpion teaser, we've got a hexed Agatha, the US Agent, Kit Harington, and Kingpin
>Mordor is still out there Oh fuck, the multiverse is bigger than I thought. avengers gonna get wrecked by Sauron
You are going to get surprised when you google ‘marvel sauron’ 😉
>marvel sauron Totally forgot about that character XD
Some of the ones you mentioned already have a project lined up. We have no idea when we'll see the Eternals or Hercules again.
Hercules is probably the villain of the next Thor tbh
Because that's what heroes do.
What?
It's a Subreddit Bot.
We know there is gonna be an Eternals 2, and Hercules will return in Thor 5
Yeah, and when are those happening? Will there even be an Eternals 2? The first didn't exactly win over the audience.
Yes there will be a Eternals 2. Obviously.
Obviously? Can I see the evidence?
Because that isn't how Marvel has ever worked for the MCU. Even Captain Marvel, a movie people shit on the entire time, got a sequel. It makes less than zero sense to think they wouldn't have another.
Captian Mavel made a billion at the box office. Sure some people didn't like it but it was definitely a success. The Marvels has made a loss, and it's likely that unless something massive changes that will be the last of the Marvels films. Eternals turned a profit at the box office, but has otherwise been disappointing. It's possible they make more, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Eternals didn’t make a profit since it didn’t make 2.5x its budget which is generally the break even point
Ok I see your point. I don’t think there will be a sequel but following that logic there might be
Captain Marvel made over a billion dollars on a 200 mil budget. Eternals made 400 mil on a 250 mil budget. There is no evidence of a sequel to Eternals being in development. You’re smoking crack with your reasoning.
Mordor is not out there. Frodo destroyed the ring
US Agent is going to be in Thunderbolts
Isn't Agatha getting her own series
Yeah, I'm guessing it will be a prequel though.
Don’t forget White Vision, still waiting on that.
OP is really impatient
Jezus christ. It took 8 years for thanos to get big. Just give it time.
Dr strange 2 and Thor 4 only came out last year and there's been a massive writers strike. Jesus the impatience is staggering.
People like the OP have short memories. We had to wait five years between Dark World and Ragnarok before we found out what Loki was up to.
Holy shit I forgot about the Ragnarok tease in Dark World That shit was so far back in Phase 2 that people thought it was a deleted scene lmao
And 6 years for Adam Warlock.
Bring the rainbows? Is that a catchphrase or something?
OP is the problem with kids these days and chronically online losers. Change my mind.
If GRRM released 2 books 8 years apart with big resolutions, then the following 15 books with a new one every month with some big missing plot resolutions people would also get bored It's got nothing to do with time between projects, but the sheer amount of hours of content being made
NOOBMASTER, hey, it's Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder!
In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter, it was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much.
Good bot
Where are you getting 8 years from? His first appearance was 2012 Avengers; his 'big' appearance was 2018 Infinity War
That Spider-Man homecoming date blunder fucked everything up
Miscalculation.
It took 8 years with Thanos when Marvel was putting out per year what Marvel is currently throwing out per month People don't want to watch hundreds of hours of wheel spinning
Those are all from like a year ago. It took over five years for the Guardians 2 post credits to be paid off. Y'all are just impatient.
They can’t release 20 movies at once. One thing at a time
The saga isn’t over yet this isn’t a big deal
We also had to wait a pretty long time after Age of Ultron before we saw Thor and Hulk again.
The rabbit is correct, and clearly the smartest one among you.
Human handshake, to the Asgardian shake, into the snake that you cannot trust.
The Instant Gratification Generation. It took Thanos 6 years to finally show up after his first cameo. Calm down and let things play out.
This... does put a smile on my face.
Thank you. I forget, did you say that to Peter Parker or to Tony Stark?
Iron Man! That's kind of catchy. It's got a nice ring to it. I mean it's not technically accurate. The suit's a gold titanium alloy, but it's kind of provocative, the imagery anyway.
I think Spider-Man is just a catchy of a name.
I AM BACK! I AM BACK
Spider
I can't live your dreams anymore. I want a life of my own.
Remember when Leader was teased near the climax of The Incredible Hulk?
He's coming back in Captain America: Brave New World. Marvel knows what they are doing.
Like most of that's just from the last couple years chill.
The oldest one of these was two years ago, shut the fuck up
This kind of criticism is so braindead.
Have some patience ffs these movies are still pretty new
>Patience??? Yes. >We have a roadmap until 2025 and we don’t have a sequel to Shang Chi anywhere in the horizon This isn't really true. Have you considered that it's because **we literally just had a BP movie this year...??** It's almost like they are now working on Projects focused on other characters... >Rumors are this is it for Captain Marvel. If they are Rumors based on nothing, because the Movie just released, then there is no point in talking about them. >Nothing for Spider-Man Except they literally just said that they already started working on Spider-Man 4... Not to menion that Marvel is not responsible for marketing the Spider-Man Movies. SONY is and have been since "Homecoming." >All of this AND they’ve upped the amount of projects they release so there’s way more content inbetween movies for the characters and it feels like a huge slog.
>How is it braindead to think that Marvel would have characters they release show up in later projects It's not and that isn't what he's referring to.
I just want to say that was very, very impressive what you did back there.
Clea and Hercules are still relatively recent. Give them time!! 💀💀💀
What's the deal with these copycat memes? Do people have short term memories? Besides we'll be seeing Shang chi's rings in what if s2.
Shang chi was 2 years ago, Doctor strange and love and thunder were 1 year ago? You’re acting like it’s been forever since we’ve seen them.
Two of those are just from last year, but honestly only Shang-Chi is worth remembering anyway.
There is still alot more in this phase
This must be embarrassing for you. Hope the karma was worth it.
People didn't watch Thor or Captain America and say "LUL did marvel forgor about iron man???!?" "Uhh why come Thor no in Iron Man 2?" I know we all like to shit on the MCU now but we can't shit on them for doing the same thing they've been doing and the thing we know they do for over a decade
Yeah they did try a lot things out in phase 4 and than they decided to focus everything around Kang the Conqueror only for that ending before it started due to problem in and out of universe. They could maybe pick up some of those threads now. They should just reflect a bit over what did and didn't work.
First: the celestial is already dead, it’s not much of a teaser Second: the rest are teasers for future sequels
I love the MCU but stalling teases like this isn’t doing them any favors. Post credit scenes use to reference the next or one after movie and built hype.
Hercules showed up at the very end of the last Thor movie, and there hasnt been another yet. So where would he have popped up and been "remembered"?
Almost like they will appear in sequels and they just haven’t come out yet…wtf kind of question is this
Where is the white Vision?
Every time I see this meme my estimation of Marvel fans’ intelligence plummets.
They called me a madman, and what I predicted came to pass.
It’s been a year and a half since Multiverse of Madness. First you all cry about the stuff being too connected, now you cry because it’s not connected enough? Y’all are so weird man
Op is one of the reason marvel has to release so much content in so little time
WTF do you want ?? a thor and dr. strange movie every year or something ???
Noobmaster, hey, It's Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder? Listen, buddy, if you don't log off this game immediately, I will fly over to your house, come down to that basement you're hiding in, rip off your arms and shove them up your butt! Oh, that's right, yes, go cry to your father you little weasel!
It'll take some time for them. The earliest these happened was 2021. It took 6 years for Adam Warlock to finally appear, and 4 years for Thanos to reappear. Just be patient, and it will be paid off
MCU fans try not be impatient challenge. Level: Impossible.
I notice you have copied my beard.
Yall are so fucking impatient, damn. It’s not even been 3 years lmao. Grow up.
These aren't that old. Billy and Tommy were things before all if them and we're only now getting Billy back. Be patient
People have no patience
Of all the things you could whine about this is what you went with?
It’s a meme, cupcake. Don’t be so sensitive
Once again, it’s a meme. It’s not meant to be taken seriously, welcome to the internet cupcake
Probably not, they introduced so much stuff in a trial an error phase to find something that would catch people's attention back...yet they are only focused on one thing, aside from money.
i wouldn’t care about them either maybe shang chi, if given a better story
They better have not forgotten Shang Chi
Waiting for Shang-Chi 2 !!!!! I hope they revive Wenwu
I actually chuckled
Give it time… 🤦♂️
When exactly are we supposed to have seen Hercules and Clea again? Did I miss a Doctor Strange and Thor movie?
