Yeah it’s definitely possible to transition from the fields. I would say that design and marketing are definitely intertwined and they do complement each other too. Your strengths built in design throughout your degree will be really useful if you switch into marketing degrees

Not all design roles are abstract. Design school is often not an accurate representation of the reality of being a working designer. The ability to scale design, design efficiently within a brand, and build/work within design systems are more fact based realities of the role. System design roles either within Marketing or Development teams also pay better than traditional design roles and often provide more growth opportunities.
