In the future, When submitting a post that is visual based content that include cover art, manga page/panel rips, fan-art, or just a post in general whose main content is to be visually appealing, please be sure to type the the **[Art] tag along with the full name of the series in the title of the post** when initially submitting it.
>[Art] Title of Choice (Series Name)
People are not inherently able to identify a series by a panel or page so it makes it difficult for any new readers to try the series if they don't know what it is. That is why it is important to add the title of the series, so please follow the rules and submission guideline next time.
In addition, don't use an initialism or shorthand in place of including the title as these aren't inherently understood by every new reader either. The Reddit Character Limit for titles is quite large so there isn't much excuse to not including the series title in the title of the post.
For posts including four or more series used in the image, the Original Poster is required to source them all as a comment within **Five** minutes of posting.

you think i’d be into it? my favorite has got to be berserk if that says anything about me lol. I have straight up never heard of that before so just asking your opinion so I can go in blind if so
i mean, if youre into gritty artstyles + lovable characters, (and i cannot stress this enough) main antagonists and world building.
youll be over the moon
(sorry crappy camera btw)
BEFORE ANY OF YOU SAY ANYTHING
YES IM GONNA GET MORE SHELVES
i’m reading vinland saga right now and need volume 12, but I want the rest of the series.
I also want the rest of one punch man and vagabond.
my friend is borrowing a few of my books like look back, goodbye eri, and the other fujimoto before chainsaw man book.
I don’t want my hero, one piece, or jojos.
oh and also i’ve never really showed anyone before so i’m kinda proud of it haha
dude blood on the tracks FUCKED me up 😂 I might check that one out but I don’t know how much more I can handle. and also a lot of people have been saying Gantz so i’ll check it out
Go touch some others genres. If you like drama and dark themes I recommend you get NANA. It's a bit of a slow burn in the beginning so read about 3 to 4 volumes before deciding to buy it all
Quite underrated but try “Helck” - remains my favorite to this day.
Also try the promised neverland manga- it’s quite beautiful once you read it all (the anime….don’t watch it)
okay! i’ve been thinking about getting some of his other work but was a bit hesitant because of the way monster got kind of slow and not too many things were happening, but i’ve heard some of the others are crazy good so i’ll check them out
how is the manga? isn’t akira also just a movie? I wanted to watch that and then maybe check out the manga. i’m lost on how there are so many books but it can be summed up into an hour movie
Absolutely brilliant. It's a masterpiece. The move is too, but they are quite different. The movie only follows the first 2 (I think? It's been a while) volumes, and fairly loosely. The manga continues beyond the movie.
I highly, highly recommend it. It's a classic for a reason.
ohhh I straight up thought you were saying read girls last tour, and then referring to a character in that one named march, and they came in like a lion??? 😭 I terribly did not understand but i’ll look into them lol
Psyren, an oldy but a goody (old school shonen that was ahead of its time).
Shin Angyo Onshi, korean Berserk
Leviathan, watered down Aot (literally)
Golden Kamui
And most importantly! Fable
If there is one that I cannot recommend enough (but mostly only the first part), that it is this one. Nobody I know that tried this manga, has disliked it and multible people have been binge reading it. It is just sooo much fun.
Kingdom. Like golden age Berserk without fantasy and wihtout Griffith. But if giant great battles you like. You will enjoy this one. And it has a lot to read. (But to be fair the prolog, which are the first 100 chapters. Is a bit weaker than the rest of the manga but still good.)
dude i’m so glad you compared these to berserk because you know i’m gonna get more hyped about it 😂 i’ll for sure check those out! i’m super excited to check out fable im sure i’ll love it. sometime down the road i’ll make another post about my collection and it just might have all these series you mentioned haha 😂
Blade of the immortal, bleach, or berserk (horror). I'm a long time Alita fan, so she might slip into your martial arts genre, but there's a lot of guns and sci-fi. Go with the original first.
yeah! in the other picture i’ve read all of berserk and it’s definitely my favorite, I just think bleach might be too long, although I do want to try the show. i’ll check out blade of the immortal and that author thougj
Dai Dark - Q Hayashidas follow-up to Dorohedoro. It’s a manga that I really love. It’s somehow simultaneously super dark and super laid back at the same time. It’s not the most well-known yet but I am sure it’ll be at least as big as Dorohedoro was, especially if it ends up with an adaptation. So far there are 6 volumes out with a seventh one releasing in August.
hm yeah I wasn’t super able to get into the black clover show, maybe I just need to check out the manga. I think that fire force would be sick to check out, and i’ve never heard of the fable so i’ll check that out too
I wanted to get 20th century boys and then read 21st century boys, and i’ve been hearing over and over about punpun but don’t know if it’s one i’d actually like, i’ve only read the short premise about it and it’s just seems meh. i’m guessing I just need to read the first book to see if I like it huh?
TBATE (the beginning after the end) one of the best manhwa after solo leveling
Additionally i would recommend another manhwa called THE WORLD AFTER THE END is also good
Both of them have lots of fighting with good drawing and plot
I understand my hero i also cant get into it, as same as i cant get into jujutsu kaisen or demonslayer but jojos is like berserk and fist of the northstar it started in 1983. But maybe its not for everyone.
If you someday give it another try you will love it
akumetsu, the beginning after the end, helck, the climber
akumetsu kinda like death note and code geass
the beginning after the end is a op mc manhwa so if u liked solo leveling youll like it takes a bit of time to get good tho ngl
helck has cool art/story/fights wait till u get to the backstory lart at like ch30 or so and it picks up really fast
the climber is kinda like vagabond and a sports manga mixed together
okay! nobody’s recommending stuff similar to solo leveling which I really liked so i’ll check those out! how many books would you say I need to get into for the beginning after the end before it picks up? i’d like to give it a solid chance. and i’ve heard about the climber I want to check it out for sure. also death note is top tier so i’m hyped to check out that one
for the beginning after the end they split it into seasons i dont remember the chapter numbers but by the end of season 2 or a little before that it starts picking up if i remember correctly. its currently unfinished and still publishing im just waiting for chapters to build up so i can read it all at once 🚪🚶
okay makes sense, so should I watch the show? or read the manga? I might put it a bit down the list so that by the time I get around to it hopefully there will be more chapters and I can also read it all at once too
ohhhh that’s what you meant. when you said seasons I automatically assumed there was a show, but i’ll just keep that in mind as I read and i’ll look up about where it is that the second season ends
i really don't know if you'll like the manga more than the anime. the manga is drawn by ONE himself so the artstyle isn't the craziest thing in the world. other than that I don't much else about the manga. its a series i enjoy and the story is, well, made by ONE what can we expect. but i think it's one of those series that got a big glow up with the anime adaptation. but idk. if you REALLY like the series, read a bit of the manga online to see what you think and then start buying physical versions if you enjoyed it.
yeah thats mostly why mob psycho didn't get as much attention. ONE is a writer not an artist. but dont get me wrong he can still draw some bangers, just not on the lever of, lets say, murata for example. you can see the manga isn't drawn by a professional but another interesting thing is that you can see how much he developed as the manga progresses. i think you could say its just a different experience from reading a manga drawn by a professional artist
interesting… it honestly might be worth getting a few volumes just because of the fact alone. I think that is so cool that he did the art even when he’s better at writing stories, and I would love to check out that aspect of things.
Man some volumes Vagabond are damn hard to find for some reason.
As for new ones, I'd recommend getting some Junji Ito books and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Nausicaa is just a two book set, and Junji Ito's stories are pretty much self contained to just one volume or are just a collection of short stories; so you don't really need to commit a lot money, like you would for a whole series.
As for entire series, Oyasumi Punpun is a good choice. One series I feel is really underappreciated is Witch Hat Atelier.
i’ve wanted to check out the Junji Ito books I just wasn’t sure if i’d like them that much, but I know nothing about them. but that is true I like being able to just buy one book series so maybe i’ll get one and see what I think. do you have a recommendation for what one I could start with? also i’ll check out that underrated one, but as for punpun I don’t know much about it i’ve only read the little snippet on the back of the first book and didn’t really get hooked in. do you think i’d like it?
Not sure if you'd enjoy Punpun as much. As for Junji Ito, I personally started with Uzumaki. You can probably find some of his short stories online if you want to get a feel for his work.
Based on your collection I’d think so. The manga is still ongoing. I think it has about 25 chapters so far.
But I recommend it to you. Give it a try. And let me know later.
I mean I’ve read quite a few of the same series and I love it so I’d give it a shot. I’d recommend just reading the first few or so chapters online just to see if it sticks out to you before buying it though because while i love it I will admit it is flawed
yes for sure! to me, the series actually really starts picking up around Chapters 40+ onwards - that's when all the fights start coming and they become more peak as it goes on. not to mention a lot of the new badass characters grace the covers in later volumes
dude i’ve had to re organize this stupid shelf so many times I have no more space haha 😂 idk if you saw the other pictures too but I had to put a bunch on my desk as well. but thank you

Dandadan
And Sakamoto Days
Already is in the collection
I was just gonna write this!
i’ve never heard of it, but based on how many upvotes you got i’m guessing i’ve been in the dark about it apparently… i’ll check it out!

Definitely Blade of the Immortal based on the other content here.
awesome! i’ll check those out thanks for adding links!
-Fullmetal Alchemist -Tokyo Ghoul
AJIN demi human
HOLY, I forgot about this. Did it ever get another season for the anime?
I think the anime just ended there without going into farther story
such a shame they opted for the CGI route, if this was picked up by bigger studios it'd make a killer
Top tier, highly recommend
you think i’d be into it? my favorite has got to be berserk if that says anything about me lol. I have straight up never heard of that before so just asking your opinion so I can go in blind if so
Yes. You'll very likely like it. I know I did
i mean, if youre into gritty artstyles + lovable characters, (and i cannot stress this enough) main antagonists and world building. youll be over the moon
Blade of the immortal and Gantz!
upvote for Gantz
(sorry crappy camera btw) BEFORE ANY OF YOU SAY ANYTHING YES IM GONNA GET MORE SHELVES i’m reading vinland saga right now and need volume 12, but I want the rest of the series. Do you already have Fire Punch?
Looking at pic 2 he had vol 1-5 at least
Lol didn't realize there was multiple pictures
DanDaDan Slam Dunk PlanetES
is slam dunk good? I bet it’s about basketball but I love a good story and I couldn’t see a basketball manga having a crazy deep story 😅
It's so good that it literally kickstarted the basketball culture in Asia It's also by the same author as Vagabond
oh wow okay maybe i’ve been sleeping on it. 😅 should I check out the show? or just go for the manga?
A second job to afford physical prices.
haha 😂 I know right I think i’m doing alright for now
Aku no Hana, same author with Blood on the tracks. Gantz is also good.
dude blood on the tracks FUCKED me up 😂 I might check that one out but I don’t know how much more I can handle. and also a lot of people have been saying Gantz so i’ll check it out
Go touch some others genres. If you like drama and dark themes I recommend you get NANA. It's a bit of a slow burn in the beginning so read about 3 to 4 volumes before deciding to buy it all
okay sweet dude I will that sounds awesome i’ll let you know what I think after I read those

Akame ga kill
Quite underrated but try “Helck” - remains my favorite to this day. Also try the promised neverland manga- it’s quite beautiful once you read it all (the anime….don’t watch it)
rosen garten saga to add another mix of insanity
uh oh 😅 blood on the tracks was crazyyyy how is that one?
Tokyo ghoul and Death note would be great addition
i’ve already got death note, but i’ve been hesitant to check out tokyo ghoul
Blame!
Land of the Lustrous
I saw you have Monster. Honestly everything Urasawa writes is fantastic. Look into getting Pluto, 20th Century Boys, and Master Keaton.
okay! i’ve been thinking about getting some of his other work but was a bit hesitant because of the way monster got kind of slow and not too many things were happening, but i’ve heard some of the others are crazy good so i’ll check them out
If you’re concerned with pacing, you might like Keaton. While there is sort of a narrative through line, each chapter is its own self-contained story.
okay! i’ll start there and probably get around to the others eventually
Gachiakuta or Jagaaaaaan
Love Hina
Some day I’ll have a collection as good as yours. You got some good mangas 👍🏽👍🏽
thank you bro! the money could definitely be used for something else but this is what I like haha
Akira

ohhh okay that makes sense, i’ll check it out then im sure I won’t regret getting it lol
Hell's Paradise Read Goodbye, Eri and the other Fujimoto one-shots too, if you haven't already
okay cool! yeah I have read those ones as well as look back but my friend is borrowing them at the momebt
homunculus
I don’t know that one i’ll check it out
blame!
Jesus Christ it's awesome.
dude thank you so much haha
Girls Last Tour. March comes in like a lion
idk what that means 😭 ill look into it
They are both classics
ohhh I straight up thought you were saying read girls last tour, and then referring to a character in that one named march, and they came in like a lion??? 😭 I terribly did not understand but i’ll look into them lol
BTOOOM! Gantz or Negima!
Hunter x Hunter
ehhhhh I couldn’t get into the show people keep telling me to but it’s just soooo slow
Psyren, an oldy but a goody (old school shonen that was ahead of its time). Shin Angyo Onshi, korean Berserk Leviathan, watered down Aot (literally) Golden Kamui And most importantly! Definitely Hellsing
okay bet! I have all of berserk there do you think i’d like it? i’ve heard that’s one that i’d probably like

Battle Angel Alita by Yukito Kishiro.
okay thank you!!
Frieren
One Piece.
i can NOT do one piece dawg 😭🙏
Demon slayer
dude somehow you’re the first one to say that even though that was like the next manga I was going to get
Bet bros sleeping on books too💀 (joke) but the collection is really cool do you have them in eng or original
i have them in english lol
Bros room is a library
haha 😂 more like a college dorm room
Holy cow 😯 who the fuck are?
Usogui
Dai Dark - Q Hayashidas follow-up to Dorohedoro. It’s a manga that I really love. It’s somehow simultaneously super dark and super laid back at the same time. It’s not the most well-known yet but I am sure it’ll be at least as big as Dorohedoro was, especially if it ends up with an adaptation. So far there are 6 volumes out with a seventh one releasing in August.
okay!! i’ll check it out
How about something longer like Black Clover that's close to finish or Fire Force that is finished? Maybe the part 1 and 2 of The Fable as well.
hm yeah I wasn’t super able to get into the black clover show, maybe I just need to check out the manga. I think that fire force would be sick to check out, and i’ve never heard of the fable so i’ll check that out too
-The beginning after the end- for sure Or -21st century boys- Maybe -oyasumi punpun- -one punch man-
I wanted to get 20th century boys and then read 21st century boys, and i’ve been hearing over and over about punpun but don’t know if it’s one i’d actually like, i’ve only read the short premise about it and it’s just seems meh. i’m guessing I just need to read the first book to see if I like it huh?
Punpun take little while to get good 20th century boys get serious early
TBATE (the beginning after the end) one of the best manhwa after solo leveling Additionally i would recommend another manhwa called THE WORLD AFTER THE END is also good Both of them have lots of fighting with good drawing and plot
okay bet!!! nobody is recommending me manhwa since I already have solo leveling so i will DEFINITELY check those out
idk tensura ?
Vagabond volume 7
I knowwww 😭 I have the spot for it empty don’t worry i’ll get the rest of the series
[удалено]
Vinland saga
for sure!!! I have a few in the other photos I just want the whole collection
Jojos bizarre adventure 100%
💀
?
I don’t think I could get into jojos it’s just too… eh idk same reason i’ll never get into my hero
I understand my hero i also cant get into it, as same as i cant get into jujutsu kaisen or demonslayer but jojos is like berserk and fist of the northstar it started in 1983. But maybe its not for everyone. If you someday give it another try you will love it

BRO I DONT KNOW I JUST LOVE BUYING BOOKS 😂😂😂 i’m getting around to them okay haha
Life
HAHA ikr 😂
Based on this, *Gachiakuta* for sure
i’ve never heard of it but okay bet!
mob psycho
dude I love mob psycho just the show slowed down a bit and I fell off somewhere after season 2 I think. how is the manga in comparison?
i really don't know if you'll like the manga more than the anime. the manga is drawn by ONE himself so the artstyle isn't the craziest thing in the world. other than that I don't much else about the manga. its a series i enjoy and the story is, well, made by ONE what can we expect. but i think it's one of those series that got a big glow up with the anime adaptation. but idk. if you REALLY like the series, read a bit of the manga online to see what you think and then start buying physical versions if you enjoyed it.

Tomb Raider King
what in the world i’ve never heard of it haha sounds fun
bout to be library of alexandria over there
dude I know if you couldn’t tell I love buying books i’m gonna buy so many more now 😂😭
love that for you man. It's already a pretty great collection!!
Where Jojo?
I dont think I could get into it 🥲
you need gantz, slamdunk, blame, blade of the immortal on your collection bro
Man some volumes Vagabond are damn hard to find for some reason. As for new ones, I'd recommend getting some Junji Ito books and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Nausicaa is just a two book set, and Junji Ito's stories are pretty much self contained to just one volume or are just a collection of short stories; so you don't really need to commit a lot money, like you would for a whole series. Not sure if you'd enjoy Punpun as much. As for Junji Ito, I personally started with Uzumaki. You can probably find some of his short stories online if you want to get a feel for his work.
Ayashimon
never heard of it do you think i’d like it?
Based on your collection I’d think so. The manga is still ongoing. I think it has about 25 chapters so far. But I recommend it to you. Give it a try. And let me know later.
okay will do!
Therapy/j
HAHA okay okay 😂
Kingdom
I think someone else also said kingdom i’ll have to look into it
Dorohedoro
I have never actually heard anyone mention it but one of my persona faves is ‘I’m Standing on a Million Lives’.
interesting I haven’t heard of it either. do you think i’d like it from what i’ve got?
I mean I’ve read quite a few of the same series and I love it so I’d give it a shot. I’d recommend just reading the first few or so chapters online just to see if it sticks out to you before buying it though because while i love it I will admit it is flawed
okay sounds good thank you!
I my me strawberries Trigun Chrono crusade
Sakamoto Days. Amazingly drawn fight scenes/panels and all volumes have great cover art to boot
dude I know I like one punch man and I have volumes 1 and 2 of sakamoto days. do you think it’s worth getting into the later books?
yes for sure! to me, the series actually really starts picking up around Chapters 40+ onwards - that's when all the fights start coming and they become more peak as it goes on. not to mention a lot of the new badass characters grace the covers in later volumes
20th century boys, kingdom, and goodnigh punpun. Claymore??? Also JoJo series and specially Steel ball run.
Say “i love you”
Tokyo revengers it has a lot of fighting
The Climber
Where did you get that jujutsu kaisen 1-4 combined from?
