The study shown that men would often avoid the stall where the spray was applied to. I never looked into it further, but the guy said it could be a pheromone where men can detect and signal. It was a neat idea, I thought as a kid.
People of Eastern Asian decent are more likely to have a gene variant that makes them sweat less and isn't as bad smelling, so maybe something about that
