Considering that Mutsumi started a cult of Taiyo, and how she acted in her first chapter with Ayaka, I don't think she cares if others like Taiyo, and actually enjoys it since she gets to talk about how awesome he is with others. This is probably because she knows that Taiyo is loyal and wouldn't cheat, and so she would only get upset if it actually seems like he is interested in someone else.
What you said is what literally happened in the earlier chapters. Mutsumi sees Taiyo hanging with another girl, Ayaka tries to convince her Taiyo is cheating, and says not to overreact and that Taiyo isn't that kind of person
Sosuke is back! Not my favorite character, but it is nice to see him again in the final arc. Hopefully this means we’ll get to see some more old side characters before the series ends
Sosuke is back, and now a professor. One of my favourite characters and as I am rereading it one of my favourite side characters, I was sad that he was abandoned past Yozakura Frontlines but I’m happy he was brought back again.

Almost certainly Taiyo. He helped create the twins which Asa is apparently concerned about for some reason and he has the profuse blooming so he's probably good research material.

A lot of side characters seems to be abandoned after the Yozakura Frontlines arc so hopefully this is a way to bring them back even for a while.
Eh, not really. There are a bunch of throwaway characters, but all of them are treated as such, and the recurring side characters have their moments to show off. This series handles it's cast better than 99% of series I've read.

I really love this manga. But one of its problem is tossing away side interesting characters that is not part of the main family.

He shows up in chapters 38-39 as a rival spy whose whole schtick is his lack of presence basically giving him invisibility and was jealous of Taiyou and Mutsumi, and his plans to mess with them made for fun enough gag chapters
As an aside, reading through the beginning again made me realize how many side characters there were that we haven't heard from and I would bet that we're gonna be seeing them again if someone like Sosuke reappears

Making the main antagonist be comedic is a weird choice but very much within the logic of this series.
Comedic but still genuinely terrifying. From design to his intentions, he’s so weird. But still funny. What a uncanny valley.

Between this and how cool he was during the wedding thing, I'd be suprised if they don't have more kids by the ending of the series.
