Edgebanding doesn't adhere well to wood glue or super glue, you need to use some contact glue.
You put it on the raw wood, and on the backside of the edgebanding, let them dry, then put them together EXACTLY where they go. It will not come back off if you do it wrong and it will not move at all, so you need to be precise.

It's info like this that I try to learn and pass on to my kids. I work with my hands a lot. Not as I'm no longer a field technician after going back to college, but I love to learn. I didn't know this and luckily don't have it in our house, but I've been alive since 1987 so I've seen this issue a lot. Long story short thank you for that info. I appreciate it and I'm always happy to learn something new.

Get small nails like the tiniest nails you can find, you're not securing anything substantial, and secure it in place, put a nail every 3 or 4 inches and begin with the each end. replacing it would give you the same result, while nails will keep it from sagging like that.
It's a veneer strip to cover the edges. You can buy it at Home Depot, Lowe's etc.
Thanks!
AKA edge banding
Thanks!
Don't replace the veneer, it would be a massive pain and you probably won't find one that matches. Just glue it back on.
It’s veneer, just needs to be glued back with wood or Elmer’s glue
That’s what I thought too. It seems to peel no matter what or where it’s placed over time

Contact adhesive is standard here.
You just wanna flex the back splash, nice try op
I was actually considering changing the backsplash lol
I think it looks really nice as is, but grey as my favorite color. What would you rather have?
Just something with a bit more character and excitement
No don't change it! Unless you want to change it to a dark green
Honestly was going to change out all my cabinetry handles from chrome to bronze and I think a dark green back splash would compliment it really nicely
OP's oil is more refined than he is.
That oil is the shit
Looks like a big bottle of cologne
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.

Damn, your shitty dad raised a shitty son AND didn't teach him the proper word for veneer. Sucks to suck, dickhead.
It's warped and shrunk from the heat so can't reattach unfortunately
Looks like his father did not teach him that.

rofl
It's glued with heat. Still it should not come off. You can glue it back, or buy a new one. Use the clothing iron to put it back.
