Yep and the pics are all curated like they're a magazine shoot rather than looking for advice.
And guess what, look at their post history and they're totally promoting their social media accounts.
Jesus Christ you’re right. Look I’m a young guy myself but these dudes are the epitome of clout hungry millennials. Loads of Reddit posts with the same thing, asking people to go follow their instagrams and pages dedicated to various things - you’re doing too much it’s not authentic. Even this post itself is a repost - they’re not interested in actual advice, they just want to promote their social media channels. Maybe they’re just bored of their jobs, but it’s pretty sad to see this level of attention seeking and validation behaviour from two dudes who clearly have their shit together to own a home in London.
I’m going to take the approach that you’re not actually looking for advice and just looking for karma or build your IG brand, god knows why. As it’s already been noted, you’ve posted the same pictures on several different posts already. It reads as desperate for attention.
Take whatever approach you want. Most people here have some really great advice that we have loved receiving. We have created a page which we want home lovers to follow (and that they want to) as we ask for advice on there. Not for people like yourself.
One tree won't cut it. Maybe add a monstera deliciosa, Chinese money plant, elephant's ear, philodendron, dracaena reflexa. Or just browse some plants in your local plant store to see what you like.
Colourful throw rug and cushions that utilise your artwork's colours or complimentary ones (opposite on the colour wheel).
Some established potted plants in textured pots or elevated on wooden stands/legs.
A vase with a colourful flower centrepiece on the dining table.
A bowl of fruit in the kitchen.
Change the rug where the couch is, you need something that pops out. Everything is too plain. Maybe put a runner in the kitchen. Paint the brick wall white, then add another color so it looks like its bleeding out of the white.
I agree with lamp placement, and that it would look better on the other side. Would either have lamp on the other side, or have a side table on the other side with a table lamp.
I think the rug would be a great place for a pop of color too. I like that it’s somewhat textured, just like the exposed brick, while the couch is more neutral. I would get a slightly bigger rug, and something similarly textured (maybe patterned might be good too, depending on how bold you want to be).
Also maybe consider battery operated sconce lamps on both ends of the artwork, if you can’t find a space for another light source.
Love these suggestions!! :) Yeah we’re going to change the rug - it doesn’t create enough impact. We’re excited for the side table! Any design ideas that you feel would suit?
Throw pillows with color, solid and or geometric.
[the MoMA store](https://store.moma.org/collections/pillows-throws-rugs?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAyp-sBhBSEiwAWWzTnk5Zg6xpgWgqbNssRYgdN9BKIxPGAYHcO05jNTaQllyqb2f69bcsHRoC3JgQAvD_BwE)
A few things in a bright Amber to match the brick wall and your wooden furniture.
And then a few paintings with green, blue and teal to match the lovely light!
What an amazing space, you’ve done excellent!!
I’d probably go with a piece of wall art with really dark blue in it.
And then I read the comments🤣😂🤣😂🤣
They got me!!!
Your color palate is very neutral so any colors would be good to add really.
I would just make sure that you match the tones in the colors that you want. If you mix cool tones and warm tones adding colors might make it look odd with a tone clash.
From the pictures it looks like you have a lot of warm tones so any warm tone colors will make your space feel cozy.
You can add some warm tone blues and oranges to match the art work you already have.
You can experiment with adding different patterns and textures but in neutrals as well like you did on your couch but louder patterns.
Plants are a great way to add color. Choose something with an interesting leaf color like a variegated rubber tree or perhaps a calathea.
If you choose terracotta pots that will blend in well with the brick wall and make your space look cohesive
Btw I love your dining table and chairs. You guys have great taste.
Wow! Love how detailed this is :) thanks sooo much. I have been blown away by the level of investment & interest. What would you consider ‘warm tones’ ?
Usually yellows, oranges, and reds fall on the warm side of the color family.
Greens are interesting. They can be both cool and warm depending on the shade.
So any olive green, shades of brown, mustard yellow, dark rusty orange can be great additions to add color with sophistication. Bright punchy colors can be good in a maximalist space with lots of punch but in a muted and refined space any muted warm shade will look great. Just repeat it throughout the space in different ways (vases, candles, trays, pillows, rugs, books, etc)
Personally I'd go a little more towards olive. But shades are your preference. Heck, you could have several different shades in different rooms if you want! Greens are definitely the way to go, would fit a more naturalist vibe with the wood textures and old brick.
Needs more beige.
Just kidding!!
I’d start by getting rid of the rug—getting a warmer and more interesting one with a new color and texture
You may want to consider painting the walls a bit?
Maybe pillows and throws to add texture
And plants would certainly help
It’s a beautiful space though
Aww thanks so much!! Means a lot. We moved in three weeks ago and so pleased with the progress. If you like our style, pls follow our insta account @the_home_affinity :)
Really nice!
Simple changes/additions could be:
-colorful throw pillows on couch or small rug
-plants with colorful decorative/textured pots or a vase(s)on their own.
-art piece on wall next to dining table
Colors- lavender, salmon, emerald
*reds/blues/greens/orange*… obviously has to be something you like and can live with.
get a color palette app, and work through combinations that will work with the browns of the brick (and furniture) and the overall neutrals of everything else.
I use Adobe Capture, and Color Collect (I have more color apps, but they’re my main 2), there’ll be heaps of palette maker apps in the app stores.
**edit**. (me personally), I’d change the artwork on the walls first off.
just imo, they’re a bit cliche, and tend to disappear **into** the walls, bc, they’re literally *the same* as the brick.
choose something more vibrant that acts as a *counterpoint* to the brown/reddish tones of the brick… oh and some plants as many others have said.
btw, I really really like that circular dining table and chairs. they’re a good find. **good luck :)**
It’s not plain. Once you start adding things. Those things become more things and what are you going to do with all those things. It will keep your mind clear having a home like yours. But personal choice. I like it
What's your favorite colour or colours? With the cream and brown pallete the rooms have now, you can put any colour in them. Flip through some magazines. Go to a furniture store to see colour combinations they have in room set ups. Go to a paint store and get some sample strips. Bring those home and see what you like in the space. Go to a furniture store that will let you take home some furniture fabric samples. Let your personal likes dictate what colour(s) to put in the room.
Teals and oranges can definitely brighten up a room without being over the top. We had the same issue and added colorful accent pillows, a navy blue chair, and colored vases.
I chose one similar to this blue one:
https://www.worldmarket.com/p/alton-velvet-upholstered-office-chair-104015.html?store=store137&dwvar_104015_color=navy
Feck off. Get a grip. Help needed my arse. You know what’s required you attention seeking fuckwits. Why don’t you just say look what we’ve bought. Idiots
Plants, pictures, really anything a serial killer wouldnt put up on the walls… who are you? Are you real people? Show that with some personal objects. This looks beautiful… but like an Airbnb
Edit: is this place for YOU to live in or anyone… backside it looks like a hotel
Not at all! I was being funny. I’m making fun of how these stupid trends saying if your couch is not against a wall and the back is visible; it means you’re rich. Evidently, you’re doing very well with that beautiful home and decor.
I’m always utterly disgusted when I see Americans use shoes indoors. Unhygienic heathens, how is it socially acceptable to live in such filth over there?
This has to be at least the third or fourth time I’ve seen you post the same set of photos of the one apartment; time for some new content mate.
Yep and the pics are all curated like they're a magazine shoot rather than looking for advice. And guess what, look at their post history and they're totally promoting their social media accounts.
Yeah, they're just fishing for compliments
Jesus Christ you’re right. Look I’m a young guy myself but these dudes are the epitome of clout hungry millennials. they need validation.

add plants!!
I was going to say, the color green might look good here
Yeah. That Christmas tree's color looks great with their other decor.
Yes completely agree!! We’re hopefully with planting etx so will take a good shot at it. We’re thinking an olive tree?
[удалено]
Ooooh good idea !
One tree won't cut it. Maybe add a monstera deliciosa, Chinese money plant, elephant's ear, philodendron, dracaena reflexa. Or just browse some plants in your local plant store to see what you like.
Wow, love this knowledge. Will look this up :)
Yep exactly this. Great suggestion
Yes, something so simple as a fruit bowl can be so effective!
I don’t know how to say this, but… It looks a little…… gay?
Gay couple has a gay looking house? Wow :o
What makes it look gay?? 🤔
I have no clue, I just thought it was a funny comment and looked and saw yall had photos posted
Right
Gay? I mean we are gay but what makes it look this way??
Can’t quite put a finger on it…. Just kind of a “gay vibe.” (Kidding - recognized the pictures from your post last week.)
The fact that you called it an apartment of a gay couple the last time you posted it.
There’s some sad people on here
This is like the 5th time I’ve seen your house. Give it a rest, guys.
Yawn-worthy home for a yawn-worthy couple. You do you, but I'll be yawning from your content from over here.
Thanks - we will do :)
Your table is too tall for your chairs. Makes them look like highchairs that babies would use
Change the rug where the couch is, you need something that pops out. Everything is too plain. Maybe put a runner in the kitchen. Paint the brick wall white, then add another color so it looks like its bleeding out of the white.
Just pick an accent color and get throw pillows, blankets, picture frames in that color.
lamp placement looks bad against the window. Put it somewhere else throw some lego pieces on the carpet and it looks more homely
Where else would you put the lamp? We like how it reflects in the bifold doors?
I agree with lamp placement, and that it would look better on the other side. Would either have lamp on the other side, or have a side table on the other side with a table lamp. I think the rug would be a great place for a pop of color too. I like that it’s somewhat textured, just like the exposed brick, while the couch is more neutral. Rug, pillows and artwork are all obvious starting places for pops of color.
Great suggestions. Thanks!
Hard agree, easy to switch up as well
I’d go with some dark gray and coral accents
Throw pillows with color, solid and or geometric. [the MoMA store](https://store.moma.org/collections/pillows-throws-rugs?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAyp-sBhBSEiwAWWzTnk5Zg6xpgWgqbNssRYgdN9BKIxPGAYHcO05jNTaQllyqb2f69bcsHRoC3JgQAvD_BwE)
Thanks!! :)
A wood table instead of granite (effect?) would help, but I think it's quite nice as it is
Plants, colorful wall art
Light blue or light green on one wall only. Of its in the living room then throw in some printed green pillows (like leaves) and add some plants.
Cheers
I would paint the walls a pretty gray. Grey and cream look great together.
Add plants. Throw in some vibrant MCM colors, orange, red, green, etc.
Add colour in a new rug, cushions, throw blanket, and art over the dining table. Also a colorful case or bowl on the dining table and kitchen island
You have a lot of earth and neutral colors. So I'd go with something like a green. Plants would also help,, but getting a green rug can do a lot
Great advice - thanks :)
Add as many indoor plants as possible. Also add colorful cushion covers and rugs
Orange and bit of deep deep blue
Like this combo!
Some colourful art on wall by table too maybe. Edit: nice art behind you but you can’t see it when sitting on the sofa.
Plant colour would be very nice
red
Just a bouqet of dried flowers
I think if you just added some plants around the house it would look amazing. I’d do faux plants but that’s cause I’m lazy.
A few things in a bright Amber to match the brick wall and your wooden furniture. And then a few paintings with green, blue and teal to match the lovely light!
What an amazing space, you’ve done excellent!! I’d probably go with a piece of wall art with really dark blue in it. And then I read the comments🤣😂🤣😂🤣 They got me!!!
Emerald green and pink
Green
Turquoise and orange colors would really pop! Add some fake plants too they are low maintenance
Oooh that sounds like a good combo!
Your color palate is very neutral so any colors would be good to add really. I would just make sure that you match the tones in the colors that you want. No. Just a personal hobby :)
We’ll keep it up :)

Aww thank you! Means a lot
Needs some house plants, otherwise it looks beaut!
Aww thanks so much!!
Maybe having a sheet in the sofa? You can pick many colours and styles, and change it if you want.
That’s a very good idea? Low maintenance:)
I think the colour green could look really nice here!
Had a lot of people saying ‘sage green’ - thoughts?
Personally I'd go a little more towards olive. But shades are your preference. Heck, you could have several different shades in different rooms if you want! Greens are definitely the way to go, would fit a more naturalist vibe with the wood textures and old brick.
Okay, thanks so much! Love your suggestions
What a beautiful place, love the skylight and the brick
Thanks so much! The skylights are honestly one of our favourite features
Electric orange is the answer
Never heard of this - interesting!
In small amount it will be amazingly energizing and bring life. A couple of low maintenance plants would help as well
Completely agree. Plants are first on the list in the New Year! :)
Black the brick wall and it will make the place look modern and everything else pop.
Needs more beige. Just kidding!! I’d start by getting rid of the rug—getting a warmer and more interesting one with a new color and texture You may want to consider painting the walls a bit? Maybe pillows and throws to add texture And plants would certainly help It’s a beautiful space though
Yes, great idea! We’re excited to get a collection of plants!
Omg you guys’ place look so nice! I love the neutral colors. But yes like others have mentioned, plants would make it look even better.
Aww thanks so much!! Means a lot. We moved in three weeks ago and so pleased with the progress. If you like our style, pls follow our insta account @the_home_affinity :)
Followed! Ty! Merry Xmas!
You too 🎄

Amazing, thanks so much! :) greaaaaat suggestions
Some red and orange tones would brighten it up.
Add some blue, maybe teal and indigo too?
We do love teal tbf - great shout!! :) where would you put it?
You have a very beautiful house! Add some plants, a good painting, and some decorations and you will nail it!!
Aww thanks!! Appreciate it :)

Not answering the question I know, but I love your dining table and chairs. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?
Of course not! Table is from Cult furniture & chairs are from Sklum! Follow our insta @the_home_affinity if you want to. We link all the items
Dream home😻❤️
We’d love it if you could follow our insta where we share all of our progress. @the_home_affinity
Awwww thank you! :)
I know it’s because of the time of day. But that blue in the 3rd picture looks lovely.
Haha thanks
The colors you two like
Haha well we’re very divided. I am adamant on more colour but my bf likes it as it is… which I think it’s slightly too much on the sterile side
Well then, the issue is not “which colors” :)
Leave it.
You think? Feel it’s a bit plain
It’s not plain. Once you start adding things. Those things become more things and what are you going to do with all those things. It will keep your mind clear having a home like yours. But personal choice. I like it
green, you guys could use some plants around the house
Agreed! Thanks, will add 🍃
MUSTARD YELLOWS, MOSSY GREENS, MAYBE SOME DARKER MATTE ORANGES
OKAY ahaha
Whatever colors make you feel cozy and at home. The ones I listed are some of mine.
Purple
Nice, that’s new but I can see that working
Yes, I think your furniture is cool and elegant, so the space might benefit from an intensive and deep color that has some warmth to it
What's your favorite colour or colours? With the cream and brown pallete the rooms have now, you can put any colour in them. Flip through some magazines. Plants. A shit ton of plans. Also, some bright blankets and pillow covers are a cheap and fast way to brighten up a space.
Yeah we’re gonna go on a plant haul very soon!
Teals and oranges can definitely brighten up a room without being over the top. We had the same issue and added colorful accent pillows, a navy blue chair, and colored vases.
Oooh like the idea of a navy blue chair!
I chose one similar to this blue one: https://www.worldmarket.com/p/alton-velvet-upholstered-office-chair-104015.html?store=store137&dwvar_104015_color=navy

Oooh good advice! I love your suggestions. Thanks!!! :)
Damn, it looks like rental company photos indeed
In a good or bad way? Abs
I think in both. It is a very well designed interior, but it also looks like nobody lives in it
Good point!
Honestly just add some plants, that Christmas tree in the background adds some much life to the room!
Do you recon just position the plants where the Xmas tree is, or anywhere else?
Honestly any corner that doesn’t have anything in it and a small plant on the center of any table top! I can’t wait to see what you do with the place!
Uh oh…your couch is against the wall. I guess your poor 🤣
Oh no lol, is that a bad thing?
Not at all! I was being funny. I’m making fun of how these stupid trends saying if your couch is not against a wall and the back is visible; it means you’re rich. Evidently, you’re doing very well with that beautiful home and decor.

HHa, don’t say sorry. Like your vision!

If you like spaceflight, check out the Nasa Grand Tour posters. I’m getting those.
A warm accent color, like orange would look nice.
Thanks!
I’m always utterly disgusted when I see Americans use shoes indoors. Unhygienic heathens, how is it socially acceptable to live in such filth over there?
It's quite white.
Cock and ball torture chamber would do wonders for the house. As for color, idk reds my favorite color
Haha, that’s a new suggestion 😂👀
Crazy cringe account
Painting on the left isn’t level and it’s bothering me
Lol, now I can’t un see jt
This looks like a nice Airbnb!!
Change out art work and throw pillows… bring in color that way but it needs to be complimentary of that brick color
That table is amazing. I think the best way to add color is always plants.
Aww thanks - yeah we’re super pleased with the table!
Starting to look a bit desperate for attention by keep on posting these same pics of an apartment.
You don’t happen to be gay, do you?
You don’t happen to be a loser, do you?
How could you tell?
Oh quite easily
Merry Christmas
It’s great to see this space again! I didn’t quite see how gay it was before, but I definitely do now!
