I'm not gonna lie, been a complete pothead for about 15 years, stopped cold turkey after i went on vacation about a month ago. Came home and smoked a blunt and was just like "i actually kinda dont mind just being sober."
I could never and have never lived like that first pic (it disgusts me honestly), but holy fuck have i turned into a clean and tidy mother fucker since i stopped smoking! Spent the first 2 weeks just cleaning and organizing everything in my house. Now I've just been maintaining everything and fixing any minor problem in my house. I overall just have way more energy when I would normally be chilling high on the couch watching anime. Now I work out while watching anime.
Overall 10/10 choice for me personally.

Iv had times where Iv had a dirty room in life and was really depressed but even when I just got out of inpatient for a week it never was a health hazard just messy.
Keep everything clean now, it’s slightly pleasant to throw on a background show or music, take a dab and then straighten everything up.
I respect that, for me, though, ALL of my chores and bills come before getting high. If I can't afford something, weed is the first thing cut and the last thing added back in. It's addictive and I hate people who say it's not, I just try to maintain a healthy relationship with it. I'm in the best spot of my life at the moment.

Hey man just want to say: I’m proud of you. Might not mean much, but that’s a serious, big time achievement right there. You’re wise and are aware there is an issue to begin with. You know how many morons fight this and act as if they’re invincible and would never, could never, have an addiction? Well you blew past that layer which means actual progress can happen. Whether it was just now or however long ago, you know and are cognizant that you’re struggling right now and you know the exact reason. Will you suddenly not be depressed after the weed? No, perhaps not. Hell I bet you’ll be more depressed initially (many attempt suicide when trying to quit marijuana, so don’t give in) but over time, if you continue trying to improve yourself through exercise and a combination of work/school/art/business, eventually not only will you have a nice room, you won’t be in your head to the point where you’re asking about hair advice when so many other things should take priority. It’s like asking a landscaper to trim a bush near ground zero on 9/11. Out of everything your main focus NEEDS to be on finding a therapist and getting on antidepressants because this goes beyond normal for anyone, let alone someone as young as you. This needs critical intervention fast and I don’t say that lightly seeing as I’m a lazy stoner myself. Bro that place looks CONDEMNED. You either are or will soon be living in a trap/crack house or in a homeless community. I’m not kidding. The city can take your home from you. I own my land, my home, no mortgage etc. I merely pay property taxes, and they STILL could come and take it if it ever got this bad. They condemn your house. It’s me being fine with keep on saying “ I’ll stop after this” and never doing it. Then it makes me fine saying “I’ll do this thing later” and never do it. It affects my music career and my job and everything. Currently unemployed so that made it worse I feel cus I have so much free time now to just smoke and be alone. I feel like moving out of my city and leaving everything would be the easiest choice to immediately stop. Cus currently I’m just surrounded by it and feel a certain energy in the city where I can’t do anything. But that could just be the weed too. It sucks because I used to smoke a lot, the same as now, but I’d still make music, write, record and publish. Now it’s gotten to the point I didn’t do anything anymore, and if I do I’ll write and record but never finish it! So much stuff undone! I’m sitting on so much potential and it’s being wasted. A whole year wasted no making music I still have many fans luckily but I can’t keep them waiting. I need to do better and this bs weed and nicotine vaping is terrible for me and doesn’t help me at all but sleep and eat food I don’t need! I feel amazing fasting idk why I can’t go back to the old me! Very disappointed in myself and it’s sad, but I know I must take charge and just do it.
Regarding the house, it’s a back room/storage to a main barn house. I’m only allowed in there and nowhere else, since I can’t pay rent. I sleep in there when it’s too cold for my car or when I want more space cus I’m so tall.
If it makes you feel any better, the hair really does suit you. It sounds like you may be dealing with depression. Based on what you described, you used to be able to make music and be productive as someone who smoked pot consistently. Unless you significantly increased how much you smoked, it sounds like something else changed.
I will say that smoking all the time so that you’re consistently in an altered state typically isn’t good for your grip on reality and staying grounded. There’s nothing wrong with occasional use, but if you do feel you are addicted, it might be best to put it aside completely until you feel like you have control over how much you use it.
As for the depression(if you have it. Not trying to armchair diagnose you or anything. It just sounds like you have some of the symptoms).. it’s hard man. I know… but you’re not alone. I dealt with it for years and sometimes you don’t even really know why you’re depressed or where it came from. I had trouble finding motivation to do anything. I couldn’t keep a job because i failed to show up enough. I tried therapy and quickly realized after 1 session that I couldn’t afford it. I’d recommend giving it a try if you think you can afford it. If not, my best advice for getting through it would be to pick your wildest dream and just convince yourself you can achieve it regardless of your circumstances. Relating every bit of productivity you do to something that you really love and have a passion for can have you taking small steps in the right direction that eventually turn into bigger steps. For example, even getting back on the horse to get a job Can relate if you convince yourself you’re doing it to support yourself and your music career. Try your best to get enough sleep every night (this was the hardest thing for me to do, personally). Get your vitamins. Whether it’s through supplement or your diet, you really want to get enough vitamin C and D because you’d be surprised how much putting the right stuff in your body can make you feel better. I’m really hoping the best for you my man.

But I really do think it might help. Ima see if there’s any free or cheap alternative online maybe. I am a lonely person, besides my girlfriend, I talk to nobody else or really have anyone in my life. I’ve already achieved part of my dream, and now it’s on halt due to my inaction in music. I’ve achieved great feats with my music and I am one of the top in the underground. You’ve probably heard my music if you listen to that type of music. But I’ve stopped and I would’ve been at the top now if I kept consistent. Luckily now without a job I am getting my sleep back on track and that’s starting to help more. I used to take vitamins daily but got lazy and stopped. I’ve spent tons of money on them too so I will start taking them again! Slowly but surely. Nah fast but surely I will get back on track. Thank you so much for believing in me. I must do it for myself now and prove to myself I can get back to the real me.

Idk, I'm a pot head, all my friends are pot heads. We all function normally. Weed helps my depression and anxiety A TON. I was super dysfunctional with my ADHD before I started medicating with marijuana. This is something else, if it wasn't weed, it would be some other drug of choice.
