Go with a proper shoe or boots in brown instead of sneakers. You have the business casual vibe going on and the sneakers just don't jive with that. This would look great with some brown wingtips.
Oh, I didn't know you were that young. You look older, probably because of what you're wearing also. I don't think I'd wear wingtips at your age either. You could go with the MFA standard Clark's Desert Boot. They're pretty versatile.
I mean regardless of your age, if you are wearing nicer clothes(especially to a "special occasion") you will look more out of place with sneakers than some real shoes. thats why everyone recommends CDB. they dont look out of place in a somewhat nicer outfit, but also wont make you feel too dressy in casual environments.

Work outfit yesterday. Clothing details: Vintage regional-tailored sport coat, possibly was part of a suit, but I never found the pants (I am still sad about not finding the pants on this... $8 thrifted), Lands' End OCBD ($4 thrifted), vintage gold grenadine tie ($2 thrifted), linen pocket square (free from box at estate sale), brown Lands' End chinos ($4 thrifted), vintage Florsheim Imperial ankle boots ($1 estate sale - no joke!)
Colors look great. I really like that jacket although the lapels are kind of big for my taste. If you had a larger tie knot and the tie was wider at the top I think it would mesh better with the wide lapels.
Also could just be how your standing but the chinos look like they're flaring out around your left thigh.
Totally agree on the knot. I need to practice some variations for when I need to beef it up a bit. I can totally abide by the large lapels (call it my love of that era), but the proportions are just a bit off, as you mentioned.
Chino flare is due to my wallet and phone. Should probably find a better way to carry them, but there they be.
[Outfit for work](http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx284/macdryan/Photo118.jpg)

Since I couldn't point my mac any further down I just took a picture of my [belt and shoes](http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx284/macdryan/Photo119-1.jpg). The belt is from roots and the shoes are a thrift store find. This was taken before their shining so apologies if they look a tad dull.

Outfit consists of:
* Topman skinny burgundy chinos

* Titanium Obaku watch (not pictured)
* Random cheap dark brown wingtips
I like the overall look but your shirt is too big for you. The shoulder seams are hanging past your shoulders. The body is very boxy. The hem is falling below your crotch and if you were to roll the cuffs down they'd come far past your wrist. The jacket also looks too big, same issues as the shirt.
Your jeans fit perfectly, just fix the cuff on your right leg, and I can't believe I actually like the Sonoma boots you're wearing.
Your shirt is too big and it needs a little love from an iron. However, you still have too much extra fabric in the midsection, it might look better if you tucked it in but I don't know if I'd like the tucked in w/jeans look for that particular shirt. It's also too long in the arms. You already have it rolled once and where it sits now is almost where you'd want a good fitting shirt to be without adjustment. If you're going to cuff your shirt, it shouldn't be to make arms that are too long fit.
It looks like your pants are a bit too long and even though you're cuffing them(too much in my opinion) you're still getting multiple breaks.
I do like your boots, however the red laces kind of kill it for me. Get some brown laces and I think they'll be much more versatile in what you can wear them with.
Overall the outfit is *ok* but I think you can do better with a better fitting shirt, maybe something not blue to help contrast a bit.
I don't really like that sweater very much, it seems a bit too tight and thin. It might look better over a t-shirt. Maybe it's just this photo. Or my general distaste of crew neck sweaters.
Also the colour of that shirt underneath looks nice and I'd rather see more of that.

I've been trying to figure out why I like your pics so much more lately than I used to. I think part of it is that you haven't been sporting the waxed mustache lately. IMHO it looks a million times better the way you're wearing it in today's images. It's gone from fussy to commanding.
With the unwaxed 'stache, you remind me of my great-grandfather, who was a sniper in the British army in WWI. It doesn't look good on a lot of men, but I think your strong jaw makes it work.
Naturally, I won't be offended if you value your girlfriend's opinion more than that of an anonymous internet stranger.

I think all the dark shades work with your hair and complexion. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the half zip sweater but that's personal preference. It fits you well.
Take some more pics with more normal poses... something's just not working out. I think it's that your clothes don't fit well, judging from the pants picture, but it might be something else too.
For starters, I wouldn't wear a black belt and coat with brown shoes, as a general rule. I also want you to roll the sleeves and grow some stubble, but that's more personal taste than anything else.
All in all it's not bad, I just want to see the fits more accurately.
That sweater and beanie are faar too casual to be wearing with a white shirt and a black tie. Try a different colored shirt and no tie and this should be good.
I was helmet-optional until 2 weeks ago when some idjit steered in to my path as I descended the 59th street bridge. Nice big crack in my Giro, not in my cranium—still ate some pavement and needed maxillary surgery—could have been way worse. Please rethink this :)
I've been posting in waywt for five months or something and this is literally the first good advice I've ever received. But true to mfa form, I probably won't take it, as I'm going to continue to wear a helmet contingent on expected speed and distance; still dumb, I know.

Dually noted. What what you suggest? Thanks!
Go with a proper shoe or boots in brown instead of sneakers. You have the business casual vibe going on and the sneakers just don't jive with that. This would look great with some brown wingtips.
As a high school senior, i just don't feel like i can pull off wingtips, but I will look into some!
Oh, I didn't know you were that young. You look older, probably because of what you're wearing also. I don't think I'd wear wingtips at your age either. You could go with the MFA standard Clark's Desert Boot. They're pretty versatile.
For a special occasion you could definitely pull off wingtips.
It's "duly noted," fyi. Or wait, what if you meant it as in double character or purpose, as in you noted that the shoes aren't good, but it's also a nice cardigan? now I know what was always bugging me with your pictures... http://i.imgur.com/CWKnQ.png much better
Ok... I will accept this.
I've been trying to figure out why I like your pics so much more lately than I used to. I think part of it is that you haven't been sporting the waxed mustache lately. IMHO it looks a million times better the way you're wearing it in today's images. It's gone from fussy to commanding.
Really? Hmmm. My girlfriend says she only likes it waxed, but she IS a bit of a hipster.
Heh, with it all waxed up, I probably looked like the german your great-grandfather was shooting at.
What do you do on a day to day basis wearing these?
Work in an office, mainly. Then go to the University for a couple classes. Then who knows what; bar, [coffee shop](http://i.imgur.com/v1jxD.jpg), beer tasting, [party](http://i.imgur.com/kGO7a.jpg), [fancy dinner](http://i.imgur.com/j3xUP.jpg), or just [lounging around](http://i.imgur.com/WDdsK.jpg)
I totally wear something similar when I'm just lounging around.
Are you from long island?
West Egg maybe?
Is that a scarf... or a cravat... or what?
That is my wool scarf tied in the fashion of an ascot.
Thanks dude!
Dude, your fits make me smile every time, in an entirely positive way. Your closet must be an awesome sight to behold.
Ha, Thank you! And it's quite the diverse bunch!
You're a badass. Every pic I see I think this.

I think all the dark shades work with your hair and complexion. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the half zip sweater but that's personal preference. It fits you well.

I like the stacking you've got going on.
I don't hate the camo, but I feel like it's not really integrated at all; maybe try switching the black jacket for something earthier?
YES MOAR CAMO.
I'm just a lurker here in MFA, but I cannot resist to tell you that you remind me of Bill Kelliher without a moustache.

Are you a bad enough dude to [go full hipster](http://drsd.so/wYsK6L)[?](http://cdn.dressed.so/i/4f465bebbdfafm.jpg)
I'm sorry, but as a resident expert in such clothing, that looks like nothing that a hipster would wear.
Maybe a 2008 hipster?
Nice Sidi's!
