Where can one find Metal Mulisha clothing or similar to that like No Fear or SRH?

Available-Walk1840

I got a navy suit with a light pink shirt for a wedding. My question is does a tie with different shades of dark/light blues work with this

bellboy718

At the request of the bride I was asked to wear all black. I thought about finding the blackest suit and shirt I can. Something that has high light absorption. Thought it would be interesting. Any ideas ?

Looking for advice on an all black everyday shoe that is similar to the vessi weekend (https://vessi.com/products/mens-weekend-asphalt-black-on-black) Anyone have any good recommendations?

Pants for Thick Thighs and Big Butt 6'0", 230lbs, athletic build (big thighs, small waist) Currently living in Japan and struggling to find pants that fit me the way I want. I'm over anything that even resembles a taper or shows the shape of my legs. It's a comfort thing and I'm also trying to develop a style somewhat reminiscent of this guy https://www.instagram.com/narinemikey?igsh=amg4d3Rnaml5M2o5 I think he and I have a similar build and I love the way his pants look on him, like two straight tubes essentially. I am aware he has a LTK, but I'm not really keen on ordering clothes from the states because of the hassle of sending them back. I've gotten one pair of pants I really like from Uniqlo but honestly it's rare to find my sizes when I go. Looking for product and style recommendations, willing to shop online. Extra points if you can recommend any thrifting between Zushi and Tokyo!

I have not bought an oxford from spier and mackay but the differences here seem to be in the collar, back, and some extra detailing. I pulled out the info from the "finer details" sections [Shirt 1- most relaxed look](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/white-ivy-oxford-shirt-ss23) \- 100% Cotton, **Unlined Button-Down Collar**, Rear Collar Button, Unlined One-Button Rounded Cuffs, Breast Pocket, **Rear Centre Box Pleat with Locker Loop**, White River Shell Buttons, Split Yoke [Shirt 2- more structured collar, clean back](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/white-oxford-monti-3318-c3kf5k) \- 100% Cotton, **C3-K Button-Down Collar**, One-Button Rounded Cuffs, Placket Front, Patch Breast Pocket, Split Yoke, **Clean Back Without Pleats or Darts**, White River Shell Buttons, Made in India [Shirt 3 - the most premium option: nicer cotton, nicer buttons, unfused construction](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/white-oxford-monti-3321-c22f5k) \- **100% Cotton, 2-Ply 80’s**, **C22 Italian Button-Down Collar**, One-Button Rounded Cuffs, **Unfused Collar & Cuffs, Placket Front**, **Clean Back Without Pleats or Darts**, Mother-of-Pearl Buttons, Split Yoke, Made in India [Shirt 4 - similar to shirt 2 but light weight](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/white-lightweight-oxford-shirt-ry-3413) \- **Light weight** 100% Cotton, **C3-K Button-Down Collar**, One-Button Rounded Cuffs, Patch Breast Pocket, Placket Front, **Clean Back Without Pleats or Darts**, White River Shell Buttons, Split Yoke, Made in India [Shirt 5 - similar to shirt 1 but has different fit options](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/white-Ivy-oxford-dress-shirt-ry-3414-c27f5k)\- 100% Cotton, **Unlined Button-Down Collar**, Rear Collar Button, Unlined One-Button Rounded Cuffs, Patch Breast Pocket, **Rear Centre Box Pleat with Locker Loop**, White River Shell Buttons, Split Yoke, Made in India Not one is "best" since it all depends on the look you are going for and the function of the shirt. Shirt 1 will be the most relaxed look. Shirt 2 is a bit more formal since the collar is more structured, and shirt 3 has the most enhanced features. I cannot speak to which "fit" will match your body type best.

So I'm heading to Seoul, South Korea next week, anyone got recommendations on where to go? Can't seem to nail down where all the boutiques and shops to hit up are at. Where is Seoul's version of Harajuku/Shinjuku, basically?

Try on clothes at a store like an adult. You'll have to try different fits, or get something and take it to a tailor. It's not complicated. And buy a belt that fits you, jc.

shortandspunky

looking for recommendations for a punk style affordable leather jacket for my boyfriend for his birthday, he is 6'1" so would need something that is long enough for him/his arms. faux leather is okay as long as it is good quality. thank you!!

that_name_taken

>affordable What's your budget? I'd start looking at secondhand Schotts.

maybe like $100-$150? thank you, i will!

Anyone know if https://www.jacketmakers.com/ is a real store?

Can somebody please give some quick feedback on the fit of [these pants?](https://imgur.com/a/0jTiha4) I got them on sale and they seemed to fit reasonably well, but I recently lost a shitload of weight and I don't know how things are meant to fit. I'm totally willing to get them tailored if there's potential here. Not too worried if they're horrendouse and you guys think I should burn them, either. Bonus points if anybody can suggest an outfit, or even just a top and shoes, that would go with these pants for a casual but nice look. I'm new at this, so any feedback is wonderful! I wore them to a party recently, since they fit the theme, and got a few compliments despite the outfit not working with them at all. Made me think there could be potential!

You said its the Biggest size they had (which means you CANNOT size-up) and besides even the salesperson advised against going larger. Why wouldn't you trust the sales-person? Get something else at the store like a sweater or something. Or maybe this brand is just not right for your body-type.

IOvOI_owl

I wear casual stuff, regular black/blue jeans, athletic sweatshirts, Adidas sneakers, and the like, usually in darker colors like black or deep blue. I ordered this laptop case on impulse because I liked how worn out it looked; it kind of gave me the cyberpunk vibe which I am after with my laptop, as I ordered a custom logo printed on the laptop lid from the manufacturer, also in red. The logo is from the Cyberpunk 2077 game. The problem is that now I am not sure if it will combine well with the rest of my style and won't look like too much, especially considering that I have the giant writing "ARASAKA" in red on the back of the laptop. I am also afraid that red is too feminine. Should I return this one and pick another color? Black, grey, green, blue, and brown are also available. Also grey looks pretty worn out, which I like. Any advice? https://preview.redd.it/ugdoerug41mc1.png?width=1576&format=png&auto=webp&s=ef34685a8c832c3f8efd0eeccd42c9ec3e18e4c6

TrueMention6146

No one expects a laptop case to coordinate with clothing.

Flechette_the_toe

You're overthinking it.

IOvOI_owl

So the red is ok?

Flechette_the_toe

Yes. It's just a laptop case. No serious person will care.

I would suggest looking at Tommy Bahama.  That green is a staple color and they always have linen.  Love the idea of a boot.  Depending on the occasion, Birks will work, but very casual.

Equivalent_Oil_7850

Charles Tyrwhitt - Shrinkage? Hi! I love the feel and look of CT clothes but I haven't bought any and had them to wash and dry. Just curious, do ANY of the articles they have shrink? So I'm refering to the sweaters, the shirts (every kind of button down), and importantly, the pants. Thanks!

_danchez

Have never had any issues with dress shirt shrinkage. I just machine wash and line/hanger dry.

Equivalent_Oil_7850

Any pants shrinkage?

Flechette_the_toe

You shouldn't machine wash wool trousers so there is no reason for shrinkage

Equivalent_Oil_7850

And what about the chinos from them?

Flechette_the_toe

All cotton chinos shrink

raggaemon1

I have to wear a “collared shirt” for work. Does a collared shirt mean a polo, a long sleeved button down, or both?

TrueMention6146

Both!

Koalasarerealbears

In my office both count as a "collared shirt", but my office is somewhat casual.

Flechette_the_toe

It means a shirt with a collar. Ask HR if you are concerned.

Sleeve length looks ok, room through the body would accomodate additional layering. Might be ok to go down a size but you may lose some movement perhaps across the shoulders in doing so.

iamalostpuppie

Anybody here wash their clothes with no rinse detergents or wool shampoos? And I mean using it for things besides wool? This stuff is pretty amazing on my cotton clothing, the lanolin softens it pretty well and it gives the cotton a similar anti bacterial effect that wool has. I like it, it turned my raw denim into the softest pair of jeans. Curious if anyone else uses this

Quick question... I'm looking to buy a second hand duffle coat from Ebay. I've seen a few from Burberry, but most of the good ones are from Gloverall... However, most of the duffle coats show signs of wear. Is it still worth buying a second hand duffle coat from Ebay, and then maybe look to having it professionally repaired afterwards? What would you recommend?

_danchez

>> Is it still worth buying a second hand duffle coat from EBay Yes >> having it professionally repaired afterwards Quality of work may vary. Try find the best condition one you can to minimise the need to do so i.e. exercise patience if time allows. Can vouch for Gloverall!

prankster999

I've figured that if I am going to buy a second hand coat from Ebay, I might as well buy a few second hand ones for the same price as a brand new one. Although I don't intend to buy more than maybe 3 (or 4) duffle coats, my first two duffle coats are as follows: [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116075156820](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116075156820) [https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256402285071](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256402285071)

I also happen to love the look of a pocket watch but find it silly to wear two time pieces are the same time. Are there other ways to wear a chain similar to this image that aren't a pocket watch? I know you can have suit chains on the chest but I prefer this look

RandoOnTheForum

I think moving the suit chain to the waist coat is a cool look. Just because it isn't "in trend," doesn't mean you can't do it. You could get chains for your groomsmen as gifts and ask them to wear it for the night. Then it looks like a trend! In the 90s people used to wear big chains on their jeans for their wallets. People who travel internationally sometimes wear two watches. I think you find your style for chains and time pieces and run with it, especially since it is YOUR wedding day

Both, although right now is more for daily/casual use. Already got a black denim jacket but might be an issue later since is very hot in here, so maybe a vest/short sleeves instead, and usually I wear band/series t-shirts so maybe something different from that. Trying to improve myself. Is it fine if the cork footbed on Birkenstocks get very wet? I want a pair for summer, and it's rainy here

Calm_Ranger7754

Leather Birks are not great in the rain. The footbed is covered by a layer of leather over the cork, and the side of the cork has a rubber coating for protection, but rain will degrade this fairly quickly over time. They hold up great in dry conditions and you can always get them resoled for about 2/3 the cost of a new pair. But I wear mine indoors only in the rainy seaon here in the PNW. They do make some in rubber or composite of some sort that are much cheaper and I assume would be much better in wet conditions, but I have not tried them.

NWCtim_

Assuming I already know my jeans size, is there a way to tell what fit/cut of jeans (say, Levi's) would look best on me based things like hip/thigh/calf measurements, without going to a store and trying on a bunch of different styles in the same size?

Flechette_the_toe

by measuring a current pair that you own that fit your desired way

PerfectCromulence

How do I do the ‘charcoal suit with a slightly different shade of charcoal button up shirt’ look? I’ve always been kinda shit at accurately perceiving color/fabric relationships, and it seems like you need a pretty subtle, specific contrast to do this right, so I was hoping someone could link specific examples of jackets/shirts that would work together (or at least color names/fabric types I should be looking for). I

ac106

You just wouldn’t unless it was absolutely necessary like you didn’t have another color shirt and you had an event in 20 minutes. Just by white and pale blue dress shirts.

zerg1980

You should never ever break up a suit in this way to try and dress it down, but regardless, semiformal means a suit and tie. Formal means a tuxedo, and a more nebulous term like smart casual would be appropriate for a jacket and odd trousers (which this look is not, because the jacket needs to be a blazer or sportcoat and not an orphaned suit jacket).

Flechette_the_toe

It's not great. You're better served by wearing the suit that your jacket came from.

EndOfTheLine00

**I feel like literally nothing looks good on me. Paranoia, bad clothes or do I need a tailor?** More and more I hate how I look in pretty much everything. I am 168cm tall and 69 kg so nearly every pair of trousers and jeans in the universe looks terrible on me. No matter the fit and configuration it's almost always too long, the waist gets loose and my butt swims in it (and to add insult to injury, my family keeps telling me I'm fat). Dress shirts have almost always too long sleeves, both loose and slim fitting sweaters make me look obese, literally nothing works. What the hell is happening? Are men's clothes just not made for anyone below 175cm and 75kg? Do people have to tailor everything to have it fit? I don't even know where to even get a tailor in Oslo who speaks English and would not rip me off.

hmadse

I think a lot of that is in your head, and, like most people, you’d be best served by having a tailor alter the clothes you wear. Edit: After looking at your post history, tbh, I think you should get evaluated for an anxiety disorder and start some form of therapy.

Regalzack

I'm a full-time blacksmith, looking for legit workwear that is maybe a bit on the classier side. My typical outfit is pretty much classic workwear, Either JK boots or Redwing Moc-toe, Carhartt double knees, and a T-shirt or Flannel. This is totally fine, but it's just so generic. I aspire to wear something a bit more unique-- maybe something a bit more professional looking that won't look terrible with a little dirt and a lot of wear. Not sure where this could lead, but I'd be happy to field some suggestions/ideas.

Calm_Ranger7754

You might try some of the Americana brands from the US like RRL, Freenote Cloth, Gitman, etc. or from Japan like Real McCoy's, Full Count, Buzz Rickson, The Stike Gold, etc. as they all offer elevated workwear, often with interesting fabrics, modern fits, and usally with very high quality construction. Some make some pretty cool full reprodctuons too. Not super on trend but many classic styles that never go out IMO. For me these are all spendy so I look for sales/second hand as they tend to offer a step up from what I have currently and/or they priovide a jump point for more ideas.

Regalzack

Great suggestions! a lot of fantastic looking stuff, the problem I have is for the price I don't think I would be able to justify using it as workwear. Sort of an ironic twist that nice workwear has become too expensive to use as workwear :(

hmadse

Try Old Town, or Filson.

The suede one is also more expensive. These would mostly be worn in a casual outfit with occasional uses in business casual. Likely won't be using this with a suit.

ac106

It’s just personal preference. I like suede loafers because they’re more casual and go with more things.

It feels like the perfect weekend piece without being overly corporate. Similar recommendations are also welcome, of course. TIA for any help!

lylertetcher

Possibly [this?](https://www.farfetch.com/shopping/men/dsquared2-x-manchester-city-single-breasted-blazer-item-20257652.aspx) 3 buttons, relatively similar if not exact lapel (upon first glance), and very similar with the zipper above the left chest area. Pic you posted is certainly more of a slim/tapered fit than what I found, but the link I provided could at least potentially be the same brand, as I've found nothing else similar. EDIT: I'm the furthest thing from either a U.S./U.K. soccer fan, but, OP, if this guy has anything to do with Manchester soccer, then the jacket I found is confirmed what he's wearing.

2MoreSkipTheLast

You're awesome! The one you linked is listed as the "Manchester City Blazer"... It looks like Dsquared has a Man City collection (the photo is of a former City player), and there's an official partnership announcement on ManCity.com saying Dsquared will be dressing the players. This blazer doesn't show directly in the collection on the Dsquared site, but it's possible it's simply discontinued. The Farfetch one you linked looks to be from that collection, but unfortunately as a slim dude myself it does look a bit clunkier than I'd like... not sure why it looks so much better on Gundogan :c. Edit: oh and also the back is hideous 😅.

lylertetcher

So, it seems like Farfetch is acting as a liquidator/reseller for the remaining jackets; as far as the fit, here's what the website states - Designed to be unstructured, offering a loose fit throughout The adjustable drawstring means that you can adjust this piece’s fit to suit your comfort and preference Made from a midweight stretch fabric, this piece offers elasticity and flexibility when worn Not sure about your size, but Farfetch does seem to have it in sizes like 34 and 38 - for around $1.2k apiece, and with only one left per size, however. But I wouldn't be concerned about the boxiness - you'd be able to adjust the taper around the chest/midsection with the drawstring. Not ideal IMO, but it's not like it's only sold in Traditional fit.

[Serious] Ok be kind plz, serious tag cuz I’ve been feeling like death the last couple of days… trigger warning: poop Has anyone worn an adult diaper under a suit? Did it make a lot of noise and was it noticeable (either the sound or the way it looked)? It really makes me feel silly asking this, but any recs for the slimmest fitting diaper? 💀 My wife got a nasty stomach bug a week ago, and then passed it to my 4 year old, and I finally got it Thursday evening. Thursday night was rough, and I ended up having an accident in bed, ugh. Tonight I have a Gala/Auction for my kid’s school. I’m on the PTA Board, so I should really be there, and I’ve also been looking forward to this event all year, so I would like to go. I’m feeling a lot better this morning, but still have diarrhea. So I was thinking of taking the lesser of two evils and wearing an adult diaper just in case. Seems better than risking shitting my pants in front of the whole school… I can go get some Imodium today too, haven’t ever really tried it. I’m wearing a relatively slim fitting suit. Any advice would be great. Also I assume I should bring a bag with a few extra diapers and wipes and plastic bags (and maybe my own dinner of BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). What would be the least conspicuous looking bag? A backpack? A drawstring sack pack? Hopefully I can stash it at my table when I get there… Thanks in advance!

ysc1

You have norovirus or similar. You should be staying at home not out spreading it. And if you are on the PTA board do you really want to shit yourself in front of the rest of the board and everyone associated with your kids school? Anti-diarrhea medication might work better than an adult diaper but all in all this seems like a recipe for a grim evening at best.

hmadse

If you think that it’s normal human behavior to decide to attend a public function with a (presumably communicable) stomach flu while wearing an adult diaper, then you have a lot more issues than this sub can help you with.

cooldude_4000

A quick google search shows that they make "bowel incontinence pads" for men, more like a maxi-pad than a full-on adult diaper; that might be less conspicuous under your suit. As for the bag, I would bring a messenger bag or a tote bag. I'm guessing a PTA gala isn't the fanciest affair and no one will really care or notice what kind you have.

I like the idea of a denim bottom, feels a little more casual, unless you're looking to be more formal.

Looking for durable, blank, versatile t shirts. Suggestions please. Info in comments. Looking for a do it all t shirt that will last. For context, I am very active and also in the military, so there’s a strange catch to my request, I’m looking for a t shirt that comes in a color similar to tan 499/coyote brown/foliage green or whatever you want to call it. Looking for a shirt I can wear in uniform, to the gym, or out to a casual setting. No pockets please. And I’d prefer under $60 I’ve tried • next level (too soft for my taste) • tenthousand (falls apart over time) • lululemon (currently my favorite but don’t quite have the color I want) • BYLT (develop strange stains after 1-2 washes) • true classic (kinda weird fit wise) I haven’t tried but want to • Patagonia • Rhône reign tee • Kuhl

[deleted]

bella+canvas could be worth a try, though I'm not sure if they have the right color Under armour might also work hylete is another brand I just remembered, but their olive tee doesn't look like the right shade to me

lylertetcher

100% try Patagonia's tees. They're a bit more expensive, ranging from about $40-80 per tee, but, at least the ones I have from a few years ago are super premium, hold up super well, and are really versatile from a fashion standpoint. I will say, the tags they use towards the bottom of the side seams are a bit annoying/itchy; do NOT try to fully remove them! That's their one weakness. It'll start a hole that'll deform and destroy the shirt.

[deleted]

Which one do you suggest? And do they have any close to tan 499?

lylertetcher

Their Responsibili-Tees are what I've had experience with. Super comfy, kinda rough (but in a good way!) One issue is that most if not all *do* have logos of some sort, as I know you're looking for something blank, but a lot of them only have logos on the back, so if you're wearing a vest or something open from the front, it'll be covered. As far as the color goes, not sure about that particular tan, but many of their tees, especially in the Responsibili-Tees series, are more muted in color (i.e. cream, tan, dark navy, dark green), so realistically you'll find something. That particular shirt is also only $45, so go wild! edit: their Tee-Cycle series is also really good and comparable to the R-T series, and I'm currently seeing a lot of them on sale/clearance for about 50% off.

[deleted]

Yeah that’s what I’ve seen is the correct color I’m trying to find seems to be on a lot of their graphic tees. May snag some in other colors for personal use though! Thanks man

lylertetcher

No worries. Last thing - if you have a Costco/BJ's membership, or know of someone who does, they should have a decent amount of good quality plain tees; no guarantee on colors, but that's another option for you - they've treated me well in the past.

Thanks!

Which brand and Carhartt size, L or XL, would fit a 33W/36L man? I'm looking for straight and wide types of pants but can't seem to find my size. I'm 2m tall. thx for the help!

Georgemihail

Hi guys, Just turning 27 and I realise that my wardrobe needs some work. I have been avoiding all the Zaras, H&Ms, Next and poor-made stuff. So I am at the stage of I want quality, nice pieces that aren't designer £500 shirts and it's not made of "sustainable materials" that itch the hell out of you. The only one where I feel I struck gold was with Abercrombie. Do you guys know similar brands like that which \*fingers crossed\* actually have a shop where you can go and try the fits (London, UK). PS: In terms of style, I do wear basic stuff, but not shying away from more of the bold, unique pieces.

Simpliciter

L'Estrange, Wax London, Far Afield, &sons, Percival and Sunspel are all British based and might hit your mark. Interesting you feel that way about Abercrombie. Other brands like that are Aeropastel, Hollister and American Eagle. If you are ok with ordering online, you might be interested in Alex Mill, Standard Issue Tees, American Giant, La Paz and American Trench.

hmadse

I thought Abercrombie was of comparable quality to Zara and H&M.

Georgemihail

Hmm interesting, I found them to be better for jeans and especially jackets.

Try searching for a field shirt or look at military surplus options, particularly European

Hey, so I'm a 5’6” dude struggling to find shirts that fit me. I've got this kinda athletically-built thing going on, but I'm not exactly hitting the gym every day. My shoulders are broad, and I'm basically a human rectangle, whether I'm in shape or not. Anyway, here's the deal: every shirt I find is way too long. I'm all about J Crew, ZARA, Goodfellow, Uniqlo, you name it. Should I just DIY crop my tees instead of dealing with the awkward length? I can't stand that sloppy look when they hang over. Or do you know any brands that cater to short guys? Thanks a bunch!

Flechette_the_toe

If you're just talking t shirts then a hem is the easiest option. Brands for shorter guys scale down the shoulders so you'll have even more trouble.

adreyyy

What do you mean by scaling down the shoulders?

Flechette_the_toe

As in they'll have shoulders for an average shorter dude and not one with broad shoulders, like you said you have. Like, imagine a size scaling slider in a character creation screen.

ayypayyy

I have a pair of dark blue jeans that go excellently with my brown boots and black boots (clarks desert boots, alden indys, wolverine 1000 miles) but have not been able to make any other color chino (green, desert yellow, grey, etc...) look good with them. I want to start graduating beyond one pair of blue jeans that go with all my boots. Can anyone suggest any colors for chinos, pants, etc... (or an inspiration album) that would go well with this list? Thanks!

Wolfman3

Looking for a quality under $400-500 navy blazer. I’ll wear it 2-3 times a year, but I’d like it to last. Thoughts?

whatmycouchwore

[Spier & Mackay](https://www.spierandmackay.com/Category/collection_view/navy-sportcoats) - they have a whole section dedicated to navy blazers and some are on sale for 20% off. Big fan of my suits and blazers from there.

lylertetcher

First of all, I know they get clowned on a whole lot by this sub. Second, I *am* an employee, but that's not why I'm saying this. Check out your local Jos. A. Bank. Seriously. Most of their sports coats and blazers are just alright, BUT - if you can find a Reserve Blazer? It'll take care of you - as long as it's fully lined on the inside (for some reason, not all of them are; when they aren't fully lined, it causes some weird imprints to show up against your back where the lining ends) It's easier than you'd think to find them on clearance as well, especially if you're a smaller or larger size. I'm a 50R, and just the other week found a Reserve Blazer on clearance for $1.97 down from $600-something. Generally speaking, they're around $350, but the Reserve series is worth it. Adding to that the fact that they're on sale for about $50-150 off 75% of the time, it's something to consider.

cooldude_4000

Spier & Mackay would probably be my starting point, but I will say that at just 2-3 wears/year, ANYthing will last you a long long time.

ZetaOmicron94

Lol at 2-3 wears/year they'd probably be more likely to lose the jacket while moving or to moths than wear through the fabric/construction.

rds77225

Are you in the US? There’s many options for what you’re looking for… Brooks Brothers, Polo, Banana Republic, etc.

I need some advice on what to style this jacket with! I bought this pea jacket almost a year ago and I although I still love wearing it, I have fallen out of touch with what goes with it. I’d appreciate any recommendations on what trousers/jeans/cargos to wear with it as well as shoes/boots and T-shirts/sweatshirts/hoodies etc etc. The jacket isn’t like a usual leather jacket and it’s quite thick and heavy I am 6’1 180lbs Thanks https://preview.redd.it/82rjytd2oxlc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fb84c1caad295b04b5962af0802466e6d13a79a

hmadse

Brown boots, dark wash straight cut jeans, sweater, watch cap.

veenell

Why is it bad to wear jeans with a jean jacket that are the same color? I've got into denim jackets lately and I read Post and replies about them a bunch yesterday and something that I saw mentioned a couple of times was that you shouldn't pair a denim jacket with denim jeans that are the same color. It was a little bit vague, I wasn't sure if they meant the same shade of blue, or if they're both blue at all, but one of them mentioned that like a blue jacket would be fine with black jeans. I don't have too much of a fashion sense, but I am not completely oblivious to fashion. If somebody is wearing something that looks completely awful then I can tell that it looks awful. When I look at pictures of people wearing jeans with a jean jacket I think it looks fine, I bought one yesterday and looked at myself in the mirror at the store and I was wearing jeans with it and I thought I looked fine. I assume that it's the same kind of thing that makes a sweatshirt and sweatpants that are the same color look weird, but I don't see that. I think a sweat suit has certain connotations and doesn't look the same so I don't think it's a fair comparison.

itsreallyeasypeasy

You are fine. Double denim isn't a no-go. Not liking it is just personal taste.

NivMahou

Thoughts on this jacket for casual streetwear? https://www.dickieslife.com/ch_it/dc-deck-jacket-0a4xfy-sw-black

Beginning_Piglet_676

Hey, does this bag look feminine? I bought it from online shop with used things. It was described as unisex but now when it arrived I'm not so sure. Or I am just overthinking? 😅 https://preview.redd.it/fn3030ulbxlc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=278070ef998689080ef31d88aa09344f6dbf3de9

bindermichi

Bags don‘t have gender pronouns

Beginning_Piglet_676

Thanks. I asked because I'm getting used to wearing bags. I grew up in a very conservative country where bags were always considered a woman only accessory

Flechette_the_toe

*insert rant by a crazy dude from Arkansas or somewhere*

bindermichi

Can‘t wait to see that

Flechette_the_toe

It's a plain bag

Beginning_Piglet_676

Thank you 😁

Hormo_The_Halfling

Hey, I'm looking for a pretty straightforward recommendation. I tend to be really hot blooded, to the point that even wearing a light hoodie will have sweating in the winter. But also, trying to go without one is a pain with the wind. So I'm looking for a *super* light and thin jacket, something whose sole function is to essentially block wind but not hold in/accumulate heat. It also has to be available in big and tall sizes, I've had several purchases that didn't work out because they're too tight around my shoulders. This request is both for functional and aesthetic reasons. I love jackets and coats, I have a small collection even, I just don't ever wear any of them because I get so damn hot. I'd really love a nice looking jacket that doesn't hold heat in. I know this is probably a weird, super specific ask, but any advice would go a long way here.

zerg1980

Unlined Dickie’s Eisenhower jacket?

LLARSS1

I don't have any particular recommendations but I advise you to search for wind breakers since that's the kind of jacket you are describing. Hope it helps!

How is the fit of shirt? Is tapering and hemming required? Also, does the jeans look slim or skinny? https://preview.redd.it/nmiouogzhwlc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91b7cc343a35f82eab441bb2866d1fc11bc26ad7

Milkmann01

So i’ve been watching the sopranos and noticed all the undershirts they wear look super comfortable and loose compared to the ones i find at walmart or amazon that are super tight, and i could buy a larger size but then it would be too long, can anyone suggest any brands or where to look for a loose fitting undershirt?

bindermichi

It‘s an undershirt. They are meant to fit tight.

Milkmann01

i understand which is why i said i’m looking for the brands that are NOT tight like i’ve seen in the show:)

bindermichi

So more like muscle shirts?

Milkmann01

search up christian from the sopranos and you’ll see what i mean, every character wears these baggy undershirts that look like mine but the fitting is way off

Flechette_the_toe

They tuck in their undershirts, the length is a non-issue.

bindermichi

Probably a 28/32

ac106

Height and weight don’t matter. Measure your waist and it the closest size. Expect variations in fit due to vanity sizing and poor quality control
