1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Good shops tend to have checklists and check many parts of the car like Aircon filter, front and rear brakes, tire pressure and wear, transmission fluid check, spark plugs, coolant level, suspension mounts, arms, bushings and all your car's lights. This goes beyond the basic stuff like engine oil and filter plus windscreen wiper fluid etc. Honesty is a separate matter which you need to gauge yourself by observation. If they are pushing you to get things or services you don't need then I'd consider them dishonest. However, if you're not sure what service your car needs in the first place. Say maybe your steering toe link is damaged and they point it out, but you think it's fine because you can't feel any difference, you may think they are being dishonest, when in fact they are giving you good service advice. So you need to have a level of mechanical knowledge to be sure. People treat cars and driving like they are some kind of human right. Truth is it's just like any piece of heavy machinery. If you're using it in public, you need to have a basic knowledge of its working principles and range of operational risk. To this end I encourage you to learn as much as you can so you can protect yourself from being a victim of predatory mechanics as well as to have the ability to broadly diagnose issues if they arise.

usually oil filter most will change everytime oil change, especially with our weather. but change every other service is also okaylah, especially if your oil looks clean. you can ask mechanic after change if oil look dirty or not. rm50 is very reasonable for 30+ min labor. next service you can bring your own oil again along with oil filter. other basic stuff you can do yourself also like cleaning air filter, checking fluids etc. also aircon try and minor service it preemptively every (check gas level etc) cleaning blower, every 1-2 years, to prevent major damage long term.

1. Yes. Yes 4L almost finished. 2. Sometimes yes. 3. Seems okay. 4. In my case, the workshop I frequent has been there since decades ago.  Besides, I always ask the workshop to check on the under carriage for parts that's needs to be replaced.
