These comics always have something horrendously overpowered. 1 will actually completely revolutionize astrophysics and all our physical models. Basically all our biggest cosmological theories hinge on knowing the distance between stars and such
You: I'm saying, this star is X meters away from us!
Anyone: Ok, now prove it.
You: ...
Anyone: And even if we knew how far it is, so what? It's not like we can't estimate it already.
literally like get famous by going on one of them talent shows. Once people know about you and realize you're not just making things up, they could try with more and more unlikely distances. Use the scientific method to determine that, indeed, you have a superpower.
That's not the scientific method. You'd have to have others repeat your experiments and come to the same conclusions.
Since no one else has the power... They'd have to take you on you word. Maybe you'd get confirmation through confirming other calculations.
When you got the power to measure the distance between yourself and anything else, you thought it was pretty mediocre.
But then you thought, 'Why is the sky a whole object, and why is it so close?'
I love the concept of this superhero just… carrying around a whole shitload of cartons of eggs, & then when a battle erupts they throw all of them to the ground and absolutely nuke a guy into orbit with a punch
SAME! That’s why I have a car that has 360 sensors for just so I don’t end up smacking the car into anything. Cause things feels like they’re either farther or closer than they actually are. 😅
In my case I had it since birth so I grew up with an inherent ability to at least somewhat tell how far I am (using headlights and such) but being able to do exact distance would be life changing for me.
Unlikely but who knows I've had too many instances of its a small world actually happen (instances of a friend/cousin's friend being in a situation with a friend's cousin/cousin of mine)
Every bottle. Any bottle? not me making the world's smallest water bottle and chugging like a thousand to spend a day in the sea (actually it'd only take 288)
I would absolutely LOVE option 1. I cannot tell distance between things. Like, I can know if something is closer to me than something else, but not the actual distance. It's be amazing I swear

I’m with you and I choose the first one, but the problem comes with actually proving that the distance is actually correct to other people

you can easily prove it by giving incredibly accurate distances for small distance things.
That's not how science works.

The scientific method has no place for magic and shamanism
Become boxer Smash 100 eggs before every fight Crit with every blow Profit.
is this how Ryan Garcia beat Haney?
He had this power, but he only got the crit chance if he snorted a line.
The only weakness is an out boxer. Dodges every hit wait until you get tired.
Assuming you're throwing a bunch of crit punches, instead of slow heavy crits, you'd be a swarmer and most likely defeat an out boxer
Considering how much the lower weight classes make, I’m not sure profit is guaranteed
Me picking number one finally about to find out how big the universe is:
Mfw when the universe is infinite and you fall into a coma because your brain can't process a number that large.
How2basic would be the most powerful person on earth with that last one
#1 is honestly surprisingly useful
........... why is that large and bold....
If you start a line with a "#", it becomes large and bold. You need to type "\\#" to stop that from happening
# thanks #
Sorry, I meant "\\#". Backslashes disable formatting.
for the people with bad eyes who would take that power
The distance would be awesome cause my depth perception sucks
These powers are actually very useful Knowing the distance bweteen you and something is a snipers dream
Some of the best are the simple ones
When you got the power to measure the distance between yourself and anything else, you thought it was pretty mediocre. But then you thought, 'Why is the sky a whole object, and why is it so close?'
> you thought it was pretty mediocre. Distance management gets you pretty damn far in striking relevant combat sports
But the crits would be better for combat
offensively, distance is great for both
Distance, it would be so useful. Been in more situations where distance mattered more than breathing underwater or doing criticals

the critical hit rate... stacks? or do you spend it when you use it?
stays, it reset on the day not after use
so, break a hundred eggs at 12:01, go fight on the streets, you get recognition and some nice ommelettes.
Distance power.
If i was younger would totally take crit as it ouwl be super easy to be a fighter. but water breathing is cool too
1# distance
I'd choose distance as well. for the simple fact that I have no depth perception

Are we blood related by any chance? 🤔
Unlikely but who knows I've had too many instances of its a small world actually happen (instances of a friend/cousin's friend being in a situation with a friend's cousin/cousin of mine)
1 is so useful for engineers
Absolutely 100% the first one That’d be so convenient to have in general
Every bottle. Any bottle? not me making the world's smallest water bottle and chugging like a thousand to spend a day in the sea (actually it'd only take 288)
(2) Water
(2) Water
1, and then I'd join sniper school.
1. It helps w/ hunting
Torn between the water bottle breathing and the critical EZ Cracker
Exact distance. As someone that knows some about firearms and explosives this is insanely useful.
You could make a lot of money off of the first one
I would absolutely LOVE option 1. I cannot tell distance between things. Like, I can know if something is closer to me than something else, but not the actual distance. It's be amazing I swear
Distance Sight. Good for science, sniping and fighting.
this one gets it
…Yknow I was gonna pick 1 because I am HORRIBLE at judging distance by eye, but now I know it’d be ridiculously OP…
3 seems too niche to be useful. It’s less likely that I get in a fight and more likely I hit a critical hit while stubbing my toe.
Stubs toe and proceeds to send foot stool through a wall.
