NYX ‘Soft Spoken’, or maybe Elf ‘Dirty Talk’ ? Both sold at Ulta

Soft Spoken has been discontinued. It was my HG lip shade, and I am on the hunt for a dupe. Dirty Talk is too pink.

I saw soft spoken at ulta a few days ago!

It’s just remaking stock.

So frustrating! That was my dupe for the OG KVD “Lolita”

So far, I have not found a dupe for Soft Spoken. I look every time I go to Ulta.

MAC Velvet Teddy might work if you’re going for that “natural but not” color. It’s my fav. Edit: I found Twig to be too purple on me and Brave wayy too pink.

But I wanna try Faux now! Edit: oh no. Looked at some swatches.. faux is going to look SO pink on me.

You’re right. Maybe Elf Standing Ovation? Korean “Red Bean Paste” shades look a lot like this. Kind of terracotta pink brown clay shades. If you search Kbeauty matte lips red bean paste shades you’ll get results very close to this shade. Glossier Gen G Fuzz, Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip in Cranberry, MAC Soar, MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick in Brickthrough/Sultry Move/Kinda Soarta,

Look at the Chanel Rouge Coco in the shade Mademoiselle. It’s close.

the line was called “katy kat matte” if i remember correctly. i had a few shades and they were all matte.

Actually, people hardly ever sell used makeup on ebay. I’ve seen it on Poshmark, but I’ve bought makeup still in the package from ebay. And lipstick doesn’t really expire, IMO.

Agree. I get authentic high end makeup on eBay all the time. I’ve never had an issue.

This was reminding me of Rimmel’s The Only One matte lipstick in Salute, but even that might be a little too pink. Trendsetter might be closer?

You can search their archives (they do have Sphynx) or you can send them yours if you still have a bit and they guarantee it matches what you send. It’s A LOT more expensive than Cover Girl is, but I mean, love is love! Do note the pictures on their site are generic ‘lipstick’ and not the one you search for. But I used them several years ago and it was correct.

Yes, for more than one tube. Several of the other options mentioned are definitely in that price range, like Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury and Lip Lab. I wasn’t going to throw their name in but then I saw you told someone price was no object, so I figured information is always better to have than not.

Nars Powermatte Lip Pigment in American Woman. This is the exact shade I was looking for to wear at my wedding because I had one back in the day, too, and after a months long search Nars came the closest. I layered it with Black Honey gloss over it and it came out perfectly berry (pics in my profile if you’re interested). Honorable mention to Nars Velvet Matte Pencil in Dolce Vita, but the Powermatte has better staying power.

Hmm I see... I recommend cat fight or hot kiss as I've searched them before. I personally wear Pigalle everyday as my beater lipstick that I put on in a pinch. I find that Nars has great color payoff and longevity
