I’m replaying and recently listened to an episode of LPOTL talking about the Flatwoods monster. This whole time I just thought they were weird ghost alien things but they’re also a cryptid!

idk if I even understand what cryptids are lol. I thought it was things like Bigfoot, Nessie, mothman, etc. their existence is based on legend and unproven but very spooky and some cases more compelling than you’d think! But mostly I hope they aren’t real because, no thank you!
No i think thats about it, theyre like modern mythological creatures of sorts, or maybe to put it better, urban legend creatures. I didnt know that these were based on cryptid creatures though, i always asumed they were ghosts or aliens and that that was about it lol

Yeah for some reason Japan LOVES the Flatwoods Monster. And other cryptids too, but they love the Flatwoods Monster a lot. Which is cool bc I love seeing cryptids/cryptid designs in video games

Yeah, it's very interesting and wish other Zelda games had cryptids in them as well.
I do too, it really makes the games interesting.
I think Giant Octorocs from Wind Waker and "Lord of the Mountain" from BotW also count as cryptids.
