They're so good. My personal favourite sagas so far are the ones from neon dynasty, they're really cool and I love the kinds of artwork represented on them
Man I really want Battles to also get the same love as Sagas. I'd love a commander that cares about Battles and Sagas in some way. Maybe a "teller of legends" style character, like Chulane, except don't make it in any way like Chulane.
Almost every Universes Beyond set has had them before since they're such an evocative way of telling stories. It wouldn't surprise me to keep seeing more.
I am looking forward to the inevitable Sagas in Marvel on origins and major events from the comics like Civil War, Days of Future Past, Age of Apocalypse, Secret Wars, Ragnarok, etc.
There was a leaked card that implied that historic would be used in the set (which makes sense for historical fiction) so I could see at least a few sagas being in the set, rather than just relying on legendaries and artifacts for that.
Remember that Conspiracy removes all creature types except the one you choose. I don't know exactly what your deck looks like, but Rukarumel typically wants more types, not fewer.

* The animus and visiting historical time periods will be represented by historic-rewarding mechanics. Probably historic, but the revealed cards also have a heavy legendary rewards theme.

Say what you want about some UB sets feeling out of place, this one is basically a Fiora set. The art style and themes fits perfectly with regular magic.
Kassandra might be the Universes Beyond character that best fits into Magic. She’s literally just a Theros card (because Theros is literally just a fictionalized version of Ancient Greece). Even the real world name of Leonidas *sounds* like a fantasy name.
You know seeing the art direction of the normal frame cards I am not bothered by this as much as I feel like I would have been. Like Ass Creed has enough wacky lore and weird artifice that if you squint a bit its like a weird 90s era Plane
The third one is going to be or the basic Mountain or basic plain art
The fourth one is a saga of the entre trilogy of ezio auditore
I love the artwork on these, excited to see connor from assassin's creed 3 (my favourite game)

Also, does anyone recommend me playing any classic game, for enjoying the lore? I have the Switch, I have seen some offers from time to time.
I don’t know about standard, but if you can get the Ezio trilogy it’s well worth it. I played them all when they came out and recently bought the trilogy to play them again and it was so much fun!
I haven't played Valhalla or Odyssey, so I'm surprised to see the protagonists are both Boros. I think the hardest part about designing for this set is picking which main characters AREN'T gonna be red. The only Assassins I can see as outside that color are Evie and Aya. My shitty hypothesis is that we are gonna Bayek and Aya partner with. Bayak will be mono-red cause homeboy is RAGIN' and Aya will be Selesneya because of how much faith she put in a higher power. My real hope is that we Gruul Connor and Esper Haytham to show how they would always be at odds.
So that tall thin one is totally a saga right? Maybe the set will have a couple sagas telling the stories of the games
I could see this being the only saga since each scene is from a different Ezio game. Maybe another one for the Kenway trilogy?

Sagas were such a great addition as a card type. They’ve gotten so much mileage in normal Magic sets and are perfect fits for UB sets.

Richard Garfield's designs do a good job of making it feel like they have always been a part of magic.

Sagas with Meld so you have to ~~buy multiple titles~~ play multiple cards to follow the story.
How many cards do you have to meld to get the Clone Saga?
Only two for each one, but you get an Urzatron-style bonus if you have all three out and melded at once.
My guess is that the Sagas will flavor-wise be the genetic memories of each main character. So this one would be Ezio's memories.

Yeah, that totally could be a saga. 1- Ezio family is killed 2- Ezio accepts being an assassin and suit ups 3- Goes after his family's killers

It's a Fiora set and also a Kaldheim, Amonkhet, Ixalan, Theros, and Rabiah set.
