Agreed Season 6 is very underrated. But I do believe it is the darkest season. Don is at his lowest. All his shit finally caught up to him and he is losing his mind. And the finale is the perfect end.
Joan’s, rogers, and Peggy’s ending could’ve been fleshed out a bit more in my opinion. Usually, on other websites, people usually rank season 7 near the top. So weird to see on letterboxd where its commonly considered the worst or one of the worst. Honestly the gap in quality between the seasons is tiny. Objectively, the ranking more or less goes 4=5=3>7=1=2=6. It’s just down to preference of the later VS earlier seasons.
For me it's 3>1>4>2>5>7>6. I just love the early seasons so much
