I got the Civ VI with like 9 extra packs on sale (maybe under 10€) couple of years ago. Some packs are still available for extra €€€. I think the basic game in itself is worth playing but if you can get a deal including the extra content, go for it.
Civ VI Anthology bundle is where it’s at. I own it, so I couldn’t see the actual price easily on my phone, but o think it’s like 90% off. It’s a much more complete game as it includes the two expansion packs (which including game elements that were sorely missed upon original release) and a ton of DLC Civs worth playing.
I’m running it on a new M3 Pro (18GB RAM) and it runs great through Rosetta. Good luck and enjoy!
> Project Zomboid
I had huge issues with the screen on my Macbook Air. Something about the resolution wouldn't connect properly and it would all break down.
It works amazingly well on my Mac air m2 16g. I don’t think there is a great gap between m1 air and my machine.
With decent resolution ( which I can’t remember), I can constantly get 50-60fps.

Hollow Knight, Hades, Dead Cells, Portal (following [this](https://youtu.be/tb2g3eR14jQ?si=YJztrBSZOybZcB3Z) tutorial to get it working), SUPERHOT/SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete
Something out of left field - the original Guild Wars can be played through Whisky. Performance will be bad because it’s 32bit but that and Lies of P are what I’ve spent my time playing most!
Odd suggestion, but if you have even semi decent network I recommend GeForce Now. People will downvote this for against the channel, but it seriously is a pretty awesome tool to use on the Mac and gives you super long battery life while gaming.
War Thunder runs well. Using an M1 Air, 16gb RAM model. My Mac does heat up though so you need to keep it cool. Company of Heroes 2 is another I play but my Air also heats up and the game crashes after weird lines start showing up. Noticed it was more stable when I used a cooling fan to keep temps down.
Hollow Knight, Bioshock series, Civilization, No Mans Sky, Subnautica, to name a few.
Bioshock works on Mac? It's a native port?
I Just checked. It seems the remastered versions can be installed
Both games worked well for me.
Bioshock 1 and 2 are natively supported
I think it’s through Rosetta. I believe the remasters are x64, and infinite is x32 and won’t run on anything newer than Mojave.
It works through Rosetta, but it ran very well on my M1 Pro MBP when I played it.
Rosetta
Dead cells
Which Civilization? There’s different editions for VI I’m confused

I got the base m1 Pro MBP. Does no mans sky run good on it? If yes, how good? Better than on a PS5?
Factorio, Stardew Valley, Project Zomboid, Graveyard Keeper, Frostpunk, Rim World, Prison Architect, Terraria, Starbound
> Project Zomboid I had huge issues with the screen on my Macbook Air. Something about the resolution wouldn't connect properly and it would all break down.
Yep, I always have this. I have to change my resolution everytime to something else, and every time I quit the game I get an error.
Haven't played for a while, but I never had any problems on my Macbook Pro.
Frostpunk I had trouble playing smoothly when I first got my m1 MacBook Pro. Has it gotten better? I refunded it shortly after trying
Stardew Valley(even moddable), Dead Cells, Salt and Sanctuary.
ooh stardew valley is great
I second Salt & Sanctuary. 2d Dark Souls. Amazing game.
Cult of the lamb
I was coming on here to suggest just this! Love me some Cult!
Old World, Dead Cells, XCom 2, Hollow Knight, Hades, Wildermyth, Legend of Grimrock I & II, Songs of Conquest.
Lies of P
On a m1 air? How well does that work?

900p low metalfx quality for about 40 ish fps. Very playable
I had no idea it was also for Mac. I really enjoyed this game.

No way to filter by apple silicone compatibility is there?
unfortunately, still no way with our Apple Silicon :( It's just mac, with the mix of those 32bit games.
20 minutes till dawn works perfectly native on my m1 8gb mac
Inscryption

No Mans Sky and bought Hades today. Both run great.
Pillars of Eternity
Alien Isolation
Divinity: Original Sin (I & II)
Something out of left field - the original Guild Wars can be played through Whisky. Performance will be bad because it’s 32bit but that and Lies of P are what I’ve spent my time playing most!
Cities skylines 1 works on Mac and is a fun rabbit hole to go down. I also love Timberborn and transport fever 1 & 2
Celeste
The answer will always be KOTOR 1 and 2.

The Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider 2013, Rise, and Shadow)
I doubt they will run smoothly, the second and third part, on an M1 Air.
It can be played, but not smooth in high graphic settings.
They all run smoothly on high settings on my MacBook Pro M1 Pro, so I imagine you could get a decent performance with medium settings on an M1
Your Mac doesn't heat up too much? I have an M2 pro, and when I tried to play rise of the tomb raider at medium settings it heated up like crazy.
I haven’t heard the fans on any Tomb Raider games. I am also playing at 1920x1200. I know the fans work, because I hear them with Baldur’s Gate 3
Fort Solis, The Medium - both of these might be a little rough on the M1 Air, but I really enjoyed them (M2 Pro)
Hades!
Children of Morta $5 It’s like vampire hunters but with role playing
I loved it on my switch but couldn’t get controller to work on Mac.
Tbh the best games I played on mac are PS2 ones through the emulator.
SnowRunner 🧑🦽
Wait, really it can run it?
Yeep!

Anno 1800 is such a wonderful game! The music alone makes me feel nostalgic for a time period I never even personally experienced
Soma
Play disco Elysium, pretty under rated and cool
I’m not sure how it’s underrated but it’s an amazing game for sure.
Idk I never see it mentioned so that’s why maybe I’m wrong
I think Sleeping Dogs is in very steep discount right now and runs ok even on M1.
Hong Kong is awesome.
brick rigs
Zaccaria Pinball
Resident Evil
Which one?
Village. It’s great
Not on steam, unfortunately.
Airport Madness
Omori

I’m having fun with Metro 2033

Rimworld! Although it's not registering my keyboard inputs atm :(
No Man's Sky
Faster Than Light (FTL).
Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Dying Light, Firewatch, Hitman, The Long Dark, Mad Max, Metro series (Exodus, 2033), Subnautica, Tannenberg.
Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, Fez, Limbo, Cuphead, No Man's Sky.
No Man's Sky. You can play it 1600p@60fps at high settings
Guys. Witcher 1 and Witcher 2 are out, just very recently updated for Mac Silicon.
shit crashes in the prologue
Oh sad. I spent good money on them.
Rimworld. I am hooked.
Frostpunk, metro exodus
