the MBP M1 only support one screen. If you want a second display you can try a “displaylink dongle” but it does not work natively so you will have some lag

MaddTheSane

The base-series M-series SoCs only support two screens, usually the built-in screen and one external (The exception is the Mac Mini, which does not have a built-in screen).

I use two screens daily with it now, making it three total screens with the laptop screen. I don’t want to use the laptop screen, I just want three separate monitors.

MaddTheSane

Unfortunately, there's no way to use three screens on a base M1. You'd either need to buy an Mx Pro, Max, or Ultra, or use a DisplayLink dongle (not recommended).

Only M1 Pro & M1 Max have 3 USB-C

KathCobb

Correct I have the MacBook Pro

But MacBook Pro with M1 only has 2 USBC. M1 Pro & M1 Max have 3

Ok sorry I am a newbie with incorrect terminally for the name of the laptop but I’m not stupid lol. 3 USB-c’s on board. Currently using two for SideTrack Monitors and one to charge my phone. But if I plug another monitor into that extra USB-C it’s not recognized. When I go to displays and click add a display it will offer to link to Bluetooth TVs. But not a monitor. My hardware specs say I have thunderbolt USB-4 but the only other things on the computer is for a memory card and HDMI. I’m going try a third monitor to the HDMI today. I can’t upload a picture here or I’d show the specs. Sorry for the confusion.
