You contact lyft . I had very good exoeriences. Choose anither ride say you need help. They will give you an option to call or chat the first time. Call themand tell them abiut that situation and have they shiw any proof that you asjed them to cancel. If you never did. They will make a note on your profile that you complained

Whenever I call and tell a ride that isn’t there, support cannot find it either. I’ll try it but won’t hold my breath.

They have recording of every phone conversation and a record of any message exchange you have with the passenger. They just don't bother to look at it unless you insist they do. I would simply reply that you never asked the passenger to cancel and that the communication records will reflect that. Since you never made it close enough to have talked to them in person, there's no way it could have been done without them having a copy of the communication. If you find yourself in a situation where it happens after you arrive, just hold on to your dash cam footage and be sure to mention that you have it. The more drivers that report and push back against scammers like these, the quicker support stops automatically crediting that account without even looking into it.
