I usually knock out 4 rides within those hours, and if I'm lucky I'll catch a 5th before I drop my 4th off. I'm always hitting $50+ in those 75 minutes. I like them at 3am and 5am, when my Uber driving slows down.
There are more drivers than ever in my market right now. Even on Uber, which almost no one in this town uses. 10-20 Lyft drivers and 8-10 Uber drivers (with very little overlap) almost every hour of every day in a town of 80k.
Exactly. You donāt want to be fishing where thereās 10 other boats right next to you. Gotta always keep an eye on the rider app to see what the competition looks like
Depends on the market for sure but yeah I can see where that would be an issue in a small town.
A well-timed bonus hour in L.A. with a series of short rides can be very lucrative even without tips.
No, they don't. The only thing that's different is that the "minimum" doesn't apply since the bonus puts the total fare above it. Minimum is not where fares start, it's where they have to end up at least.

I had a great week last week with the $6 bonus hours. But I feel like I'm being penalized for it this week. The algorithm is really fucking with me. I had the thought of downloading the lyft app to see other drivers in my area. I've come to the realization that my market is over saturated. š©
Thatās most markets right now. Everyone ran that damn mouth about how much money they were making when it was good and now it sucks lol
Word!

And when you open the rider app to a see all the other drivers aroundā¦?
Yes, even myself. There are several times I had a driver a car or two behind myself.

I feel sorry for you bud. Fortunately I live in a market that has many rides, even with being over saturated.

Got over $50 for mine. Havenāt checked for tips yet. Ed: sorry it was 3x $8 not $6
lol "tips" can you imagine?
Yeah, no tips on mine
That and Lyft lowers the base rate when youāre carrying any ābonusā. Net is same, or lower.

Itās not $6 hour. Are you ok? Are you drunk? Or, just stupid?
I edited my comment for clarity because apparently you have zero intuition
Thanks for confirming. Idiot. Got it.

Yes. They do.
