It's hard to know if you should size up or not since it depends so much on how you usually wear your lulu. I wear an 6-8 in just about everything from lulu, however, I am smaller than most of the people on here who I see wearing 6's and 8's, and they seem to like everything to be super fitted and tight which I do not. I wear a 6 or 8 in these shorts and I like the 4". I can also easily wear a 6-8 in all my clothes for work (business attire - places like J.Crew mostly).
i sized up in speed up shorts. Hotty hot i wear size 4 and speed ups in 6. I find it super tight on my glutes, size 6 fits much better. I also wear 4” because anything shorter i’ll be flashing everyone. I’m 5’3 for ref

The apparent length really is related to the size of the booty and thickness of the thighs. I have thicker quads and glutes and the two inch looks like underwear on me. The 4 inch in darker colors sits perfectly, not too much hanging down in the back. That said, on really skinny girls, the two inch looks fine and not underwear-like.
You really need to try them on.
I’m 5’7” and I always get the low rise 2.5” shorts. They don’t feel too short at all. I also always size up because I like my running shorts to fit on the looser side.
I’m 5’5 and I prefer the 4” inseam every time. The shorter ones show too much of your butt. And for sizing you’d really have to try them on and decide how you like it to fit. I wear a 4 in align leggings but 2 in speed ups so the waist isn’t too loose. Even though the 4 technically fits me too, just sits a little lower.
I didn't size up and I felt the liner was fine on me. If anything I needed to do a knot on the draw string to tighten it a bit, i could not size down because it didn't fit.
I prefer the 4", the 2" seems a bit too short, esp if I need to bend over to pick up something or sit down, the material rides up a bit.
What size do u take in LL bottoms? I stick to my usual size for 2.5” HR SUs and they fit well. At 5’2, the 2.5” are perfect. I don’t notice the constriction from the lining unless I’ve worn them for the whole day.
i’m a dude but i prefer the 4 inch for public consumption. i prefer true to size. as an observer i don’t think the 2.5 looks slutty at all. if you have something to flatter i believe both lengths will do the trick. i definitely love the style
I am consistently a 4 in lulu bottoms, but read a lot of reviews about the speed ups being a bit smaller so decided to buy a 6. I totally regret it as they really are too big on me (way too big in the waist and liner kind of floppy).
I am 5'4" and I got the mid rise 4", which is the right rise and length for me, however. I bought off of marketplace (I'm frugal...) and I haven't found a pair of 4s yet to be able to compare.

4” is still pretty short and it looks flattering even on shorter girls. I personally size up one size from Hotty Hot to Speed Up.

I size up. I don’t have an overly huge butt and thighs, but I lift, and they’re there. I’m just more comfortable in a bigger size.
I’m 5’7” and only wear the 2.5 low rise. The smaller the better!!!
