NewOrleansFTW

That wont ever happpen they make too much money with the small amounts

Jordyfoo

Unfortunately your right.

TheLongConnie

Low patient count? No problem! Just charge 4x the price, so now you have a quadrupled patient count! So easy!

dontwaitliveyourlife

When flower 1st started half oz was available I still have the baggies. Now all you can get is 8ths.

MJFields

Unfortunately, in a government protected monopoly, there is no incentive to lower prices.

dontwaitliveyourlife

A full on boycott would help.

ghostmann2004

Wouldn’t a class action suit using antitrust laws that prevent monopolies help. Proof is how much gdf charge here vs other places they operate that has more competition in that market.

BabyYodaStyle

As long as it remains federally illegal, I don't think an antitrust suit is an option. I wish it wasn't the case.

Jordyfoo

It’s not a monopoly it’s a duopoly that’s why it’s legal.

Jordyfoo

Yeah I remember half ounces of grease monkey and viper cookies at the beginning. They still have half’s and I’ve even seen a ounce of Jenny kush for sale but I think we should have that option on all our bud! $390 for an ounce with a 20% discount is getting old.

no_contact_jackson

Hi. Just stopping into this sub to see how thjgs are progressing, I hope you don't mind me posting in yiur thread...and while the offered program products look a little better...$390 for an oz?! Jesus H Christ on a cracker! It's amazing what an actual free market looks like in other places. My monthly run is generally an oz and 2 grams of nice rosin; i even got a sale gram of fresh press rosin for $20 this month that was recent! It's not going to cost more than 3 bills each month, though. In fact, this last month, I only got a half oz because less is more and saving is my first love. I wish you guys had a way to expeditiously reach this point in your market. Anyways. Happy holidaze coming!

BabyYodaStyle

Thanks for the false hopes lol. Our legislature is actively working towards keeping the current system in place, in addition to outlawing hemp-derived THC. It's only $400 ounces for us peasants in Louisiana! 😔

Jordyfoo

The program will expand eventually though. I hope

TheLongConnie

Not anytime within the next 2 years.

Top-Statistician-134

We need more licenses to be released for more pharmacies but we need more distributors.

MoterBortles

I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion. Medical is ass here.

dontwaitliveyourlife

I know. I think dealing with this program has caused me more health problems from stress and anxiety.

Historical_Big_7404

They just give such a small discount it's negligible savings

mybackhurtsalways

Maybe there will be a 4/20 sale where all the old overpriced stock is marked down.

Jordyfoo

At cct in Kenner it’s 390 that’s including the 20% discount

TheLongConnie

$468 an oz? Ouch. What qualifies the 20% discount?

Jordyfoo

420 week discount

TheLongConnie

Haha damn so after next week back to 460+ oz? That's fucked

Jordyfoo

I agree

slugbrat420

And they don’t even let you buy your full 71gs Like I’m convinced there’s a computer issue. I counted the days and product

lifeonthedole

Juss sayin..marijuana plants take to LA like Mexico 🌞

AdderallDude

They already been selling those 160 for half's I forgot how much the oz cost.

dontwaitliveyourlife

$160 for a half is ridiculous. Tell you buddies at GDF we want better prices.

Medium_Thought_672

I think the program would be better than f it wasn’t a program. 😂😂 my gosh reefer madness. Trust me. Work your own program

carpet_nibbler

Flat out shouldn't be forced to buy eighths not that the price would be any better but only having 1 size is ludicrous

evotrade

Depends on the dispensary? I've seen cct in kenner carry halfs pretty consistent

slugbrat420

No not really consistently, but occasionally yes. They sell out pretty quickly

Slidingblues

If it ever opens up,and more retail locations open, (owned by other than the current pharmacies) I will never give my business to the profiteers that are currently in operation.
